I just bought my first ATV and stumbled upon your videos on YT. Been binge watching them and enjoying them a lot, thanks!
Hey Steve ! congrats on the new machine ! and thank you for checking out my channel, i'm glad you are liking the videos ! Cheers !
Paul Likes his Chicken Spicy too! 🐓🍗
haha you're a smart man Paul ! lol
Thanks for the tips. Slip sliding away at the end. My shitzu was also listening and watching attentively when Wendel was running in circles and got the ball 😆
Hey man, thank you ! hahaha yeah I get a lot of people say their dog watches when Wendell is on the screen lol
Awesome video buddy!
15:16 - A hot meal is something I don't carry with me, but is a good idea on a winter ride for lunch or even on a cooler fall or spring ride-day. I carry other food rations in my cargo box like granola bars that last forever and don't require water.
15:53 - BAHAHAHA!
21:42 - holy geez buddy, take it easy! You're not as young as you used to be you know - LOL - kidding of course. Those ribs looked perfect!
Thanx for sharin'!
Hey Buddy !! yeah I know I think I almost blew my knee out falling on the ice haha I don't need that at all right now haha
Yeah I like to keep Granola bars and stuff also. thanks for watching and commenting as always man, hope all is good out west !
@@Maritimer . . . all is very good out West. Just got home after a nice Anniversary Dinner with my wife . . . oooops, sorry . . . . "the" wife🤣
I'll send you some pictures of the Southern Catfish I had (on mushroom cream spinach risotto). Mmmmmmm fiiiiiishhhhh! - lol
GLG!!!
For a cheap rain fly I use a rain fly off an old 8x8 tent and never use an axe only a saw lest chance of hurting someone back in the bush great video scout motto be prepared miss seen wendell
Ohhh yeah that would be a good idea for a rain fly. Yeah the axe isn't the safest but I love having it with me. thanks for watching ! Cheers !
A shed, a cold beer and toys some of the best things in life
haha Yes Sir !! haha Cheers !
Another great video, very informative. You are right, family comes first and a happy wife leads to a happy life.
Hey Lewis ! thanks a lot man ! glad it was some help to ya. Oh yeah man this YT is a hobby, I gotta keep the family first. Cheers !
Nice video dude. Love the 5Cs and the extras 👍. Can't wait to see the video of the "break down". Maybe the Polaris will have to come to the rescue 🤣
hahahaha I think it would be more realistic if the Yamaha came to save the Popo haha thanks buddy ! Hope all is good with the family !
🕯🕯doritos is a good fire starter give it a try and a good food source when you are traveling 🔥🔥👌👍
Hey man, yeah I've seen some guys use them for fire lighting (Frito's work good too) but I know me... I'd eat the whole bag and have nothing to start a fire with haha
🤣 George likes is chicken spicy! Love Seinfeld, best sitcom ever
hahaha Oh yeah man one of the all time great shows !
We have just bought our first ATV ( Grizzly 700 2021 model ) and searched UA-cam for hints and tips and found your channel.
Absolutely love it mate. My wife and I are hooked on it. We live in Australia and wish it was set up for ATV’s like Canada hey. Awesome.
This episode was really informative for us so Thanks for sharing.
Keep up the great work.
And yep. We love Wendell to 😂😂😂👌
Hey guys ! thats great man, you will love the Grizzly. Oh wow thats really cool, I have a few subscribers from down your way, it's so cool how UA-cam can bring like minded people together. I hope you keep watching and you along with everyone else loves Wendell haha Cheers !!
@@Maritimer we will be following along for good now we have found your channel mate.
Interesting, informative, interactive, and travelling through Beautiful country.
All topped of with the cool little dood Wendell. 👌👌
And a Beautiful family.
Keep up the good work mate
Lots of great information and ideas that could help a person out. Thanks for sharing!
Hey ! thanks a lot Jim ! Cheers !
Beautiful, and your absolutely right…….Family comes First…….
Hey ! thanks a lot Rich, I appreciate that.
Hey came to you from GhostSportsmanATV..been watching a lot of your vids and enjoying..I'm a big believer in going prepared..that shovel looks identical to one I just bought at Cdn Tire out here in western 🇨🇦
You don't watch that guys videos do ya??? haha jk he's a great guy. thanks for coming over to check out my videos ! I agree 100% always prepared, it's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. You're the 2nd person to mention that shovel so I might have to take a look at CT ! thanks !
Bwhahahaha! You ass! Haha. But for real, someone found me before you? Crazy! You were probably the first channel I subscribed to after getting an ATV!
Hey Jimmy, luvin ur videos. I was watching my first one and I said, Holy cow, that's Jimmy Clarke. I called Kyle right away of course. I would love to get out for a rip with you some day. If you are ever down in the Annapolis Valley we will have to hitch up.
Steve Kloosterman
Hey Steve ! thanks a lot man ! I saw you were into ATV'ing on Facebook, just wasn't sure if you watched UA-cam or not.
thank would be fun to link up for a ride, I'm sure you guys have some nice trails down that way. Thanks for checking out my channel, I have a few videos with the Ol' man in it too haha he runs a Honda Pioneer now.
Great Line Up Of Survival Gear, Many Thanks ! Hugs For Lil Wendall ! ATB T God Bless
Hey Terry ! thanks a lot man ! I'll give wendell a scratch for ya haha
Great video man. Good to see you all again. Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
Hey Buddy ! thanks a lot !! Hope all is good down there ! Cheers !
Hey buddy, very informative video. I can't believe how much stuff you can fit on your bike! I'd like to get a big cargo box for mine so I can take more with me. Glad family is doing well. You should hook up that sled to Wendell, he would probably give the kids a heck of a ride. Lol. Ribs looked awesome, I bet they tasted just as good as they looked. Looking forward to the next video already, lol. Be safe out there and cheers 🍻
Hey Rob ! yeah man it all pacs in there and in my bookbag, and sometimes I tow behind in my sled haha I really want to try and see if he will pull them around or not haha that would be too funny !
Ribs were amazing ! wife eat most of them haha Cheers buddy !
@Maritimer yeah Wendell pulling the sled would be funny 😁 I do remember the video that you pulled the sled with your bike. That was a good one. Oh yeah when did you cut your shin? That looked pretty nasty.
I think 🤔 this video was very helpful THANKS FOR SHARING 😊
Hey ! thanks so much, happy it was able to help you out. Cheers !
Great video covering the basics. You know me, I travel with a Garmin inReach mini and Ham radio for my camping trips outside of cell phone range. It's good practice to let someone reliable know where you are going and when you are returning so they can monitor your travels. Don't minimize any trip "Oh, it's just an overnighter....". Wrong. You want someone monitoring your trip so they can act if your return is delayed and you need help. Aside from that, videos second and family first. I don't even make videos (I'm not good at it and it takes too much time), and even my activity on the gram is only after family is good and I have spare time to post a pic of something. Keep living well and cheers! Pete - KI7LIL
Hey Pete ! thanks buddy ! yeah a GPS is a great thing to have. I dont have a clue how to use or what a HAM radio is haha
Oh yeah man I always let the wife know where I plan on going, where im parking and the route I'm taking, sjust so she knows. I usually have it open on Google maps too so she can see it.
Cheers buddy !
@@Maritimer Ham radio is non-commercial radio communication. It can be short range (radio to radio), long range (using one repeater for wide local coverage, or linked repeaters for extended range between cities), and even worldwide range. My longest distance contact was with a gentleman in Indonesia and GPS put our radios at 8,000 miles apart. I've always liked listening to scanners, CB radio used to be fun before it got too trashy, and now Ham radio is a good hobby for me. Being here in Arizona with lots of mountains 'almost' all around, it's not too difficult to reach a repeater if assistance were needed and while out of cell phone range.
Some great ideas ! Nice race track in the yard too. Good to see you guys again.
Cheers
BB
Hey ! thanks a lot Bob ! appreciate it man !
Hey buddy! Great video for a Sunday morning, enjoyed this one! Great presentation and description on all items. I’ve enjoyed this series and look forward to seeing the out in the woods survival video you mentioned, that sounds like a great video idea for sure. I like the little circle track you have there, pretty fun for sure! Thanks for having us over to the shed! Take care! Cheers! Andrew from NB :)
Hey man ! thanks so much ! yeah I like the gear videos also and I always seem to get a lot of positive feedback. haha Yeah thats Wendell's track, he rips around there all the time lol
Good tips - most people think of some of these, but then forget to pack it, great idea for a video would be how to pack these items into a small kit so it is always ready to take along, as some ATV's have different storage.
Hey man ! thats a great Idea ! I might have to do that ! Cheers !
Great informative video, you definetly covered all the bases, :)
Thanks Kev ! yep I think that's the basic's, and people can add or subtract from that. Cheers !
Great tips.. Fishing starts soon in NB can't wait. Look out Sussex area here I come. LOL
hahaha yes sir ! I'd like to get some fishing in this year.
Awesome content, thanks for sharing!♥️
thanks so much !
You can never be prepared enough! Great vid! I've had a few people chuckle over some of the things I bring along, I'll be the one laughing one day when they're lending what I have haha.
Cheers my friend.
Hey Buddy ! I agree 100%. Cheers !
A saw I recommend packing is the Nordic Pocket Saw. Clears trails, logs and trees like butter and world great with gloves. And is absolutely tiny. I got my hands on a friends here in Canada for a bit and it was great. So once I get back out and life stops kicking my ass I’ll be getting one for my bag.
Hey man ! I dont think I've heard of that saw, I might have to look it up. thank you ! Cheers !
Damn now I have to spend some more money on my sxs adventures! My wife is gonna be pissed with you. I have most of the items but you gave me some good pointers. Keep up the good work, btw family pics are great.
hahahaha it never stops eh??? lol you can always go with other gear, you don't need to have the same stuff I do. I don't need your wife sending me cranky emails b/c you're spending all the money hahahaha
thanks a lot man ! Cheers !
Awesome video. What would we do without Canadian Tire😃. I have an ATV bag that I take every time we go out that has most of the same stuff. I also bring a booster pack too. There’s always someone in the group that has a weak battery.
Hey man ! thanks buddy ! yeah CT has some decent stuff mixed in with the junk haha Yes I always bring my booster pack too, I actually have a video on it. All machines now are fuel injected and dont have a secondary start so a booster pack is a must.
Cheers !
Thanks for sharing your information
thank you !
Hi Wendell 😃 Where will he sleep when you are in the hammock? Maybe there will be room for him too. Nice family time. 🤗
Hey man ! he can sleep on or beside me, he does when were in the Tent too lol
@@Maritimer Good for him, he is the boss don't forget. LOL🙃🍺🍺
Congratulations on new baby
thanks buddy ! He's almost 6 months old now haha
Awesome tips!
Hey ! thanks a lot !!
Just found your channel today. Fellow NBer and a Seinfeld reference? New subscriber!
Hey man ! thanks a lot ! and oh yes, I love Seinfeld ! haha Cheers !
Great video! I need to add emergency food to my gear bag. Looking forward to seeing your Spring scenario video.
Hey Dean, thanks a lot man ! Oh yeah those freeze dry meals are amazing, they pack down small and have a ton of calories.
Love your videos! Most watch on TV so I don't leave comments. But love them! Where can I snag a sticker?
From Chatham-Kent ontario.
Hey man ! thanks so much ! yeah shoot me a message on my Instagram or FB and I will get one sent out to ya !
Nice video!
thanks Bob !!
Nice breakdown and good series of videos. Take care man and you're right about family does come first. Enjoy every minute of it and when the time is right we will see you in the outdoors.
Hey man ! thanks !! Oh man I'm enjoying the hell out of this Dad life haha
Hey man where have you been hope all is well with you miss the videos
To both of you actually!!
Great video buddy I just got a axe like that one it was 97 gone up big time
Wow $97 !?!? thats wild !!! Fiskars used to be so inexpensive. I guess everything is going up haha
@@Maritimer ya definitely gone up I have a video of it on my UA-cam channel
Right on!! Great video, always nice to see the ‘essentials’ vs the crap I bring, I’m in the process of downsizing and organizing a few grab bags for the next rides, good timing with this one! It’s good to see the ‘kids’ out playing in the snow. Keep well, and thanks for sharing.
Hey Phil ! thanks buddy ! Oh yeah you would need all small gear on the bike, you dont have the storage like an ATV. Cheers !
It is always great to see a video come out. These gear videos are very helpful indeed. I no TP does not take up much space in the box or backpack but I like the compacted tp/towels. They need just a little water to uncompress them. Multi purpose idea for sure. I’m one of those hammock camping people and would also suggest highly you try. Once you try it you may never go back to sleeping on the ground. I started to get worried about the star of the show but was glad to see him make an appearance 😂. The family looks healthy and happy and I can not wait to see a family outing video along with the next ride/camping adventure. Big belly rubs all around😂. Have a great week my friend.
Hey man ! thank you so much ! Ohhhh I'd love to try one of those towels, they work great ! And man so many people have told me that same thing, I cant wait to try the hammock out. Cheers buddy !
good to know for when i buy my atv ha ha ;)
hahaha You need one Sey ! lol
Some great tips and ideas, I’ve made a list for when my GRIZZLY shows up. Hope the family and Wendell is doing well. Good to see you back on the LubeTube
Hey Jay ! thanks man ! glad it was able to give ya some ideas. Oh yeah the family and Wendell are all doing good ! just itching to get out for a ride ! haha
I like to take a 3”x3” square mirror for signaling for help if ever needed
Hey ! thats an excillent thing to carry ! Hope some people will listen to your comment.
George likes his chicken spicy!
hahaha Such a funny show.
Thanks for the ideas. I just bought my first atv and I need to know what to get. I have so the items except the back storage box.
Hey ! yeah you don't need to have the same one as me or anything, for a long time I mounted a plastic waterproof took box on the back.
@Maritimer I like your idea of milk crates. I cleaned out my shed yesterday so I will have s place to store the ATV and found two. I set them aside to mount on the front.
Always great videos. Very good info. I was wondering do u still ride with your sway bar off or did u put it back on?
Thanks man ! and Noo that thing is still off and will never go back on for as long as I own the machine haha
Nice looking dog. What breed is he?
Trying to figure out a way to set my quad up a little better. I removed my old wooden back rack I used for my dog. My axe and shovel was mounted to it so now I’m looking for a new set up.
Hey ! thank you. Wendell is a Parson Russell Terrier - so he's like a jack russell but has a bit longer legs and a more square snout.
Ohhhh right on, well UA-cam is amazing for building ideas and stuff, I have a few gear videos that may help ya, and the videos on YT are endless. Good Luck ! Cheers !
...yeah james- for me in mideurope its a littleb. different- most important is creditcard- car club card- and- tireplugs....😃...sort of
Hey man ! thanks for watching ! Cheers !
Great video as always. What is the amperage of your portable jumper that you carry on your atv? You said that you carry one for your atv battery and one for your GoPro. Just curious of the amperage. Looking to purchase one for my spring ride. Thanks
Hey Buddy ! I Believe mine is a 750A. I have a video on it on my channel if you'd wanna check it out. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/H7UmXPlMZKo/v-deo.html
Are you going to make the St Patrick’s Day ride next weekend?
Hey Kev ! Im torn if I want to go on that rally or goon a camping trip.... I'm not really a fan of the big rallies to be honest, but I like to support the clubs.
I just joined a club in Upstate NY. Tug Hill is the name of it. A couple of guy’s I work with are planning to do some riding at that club this spring and summer.
Yeah, I know I’ve asked you a few questions and previous videos which you’ve answered in this video about axes saws etc lol
Not sure if you found it or not, but Yukon Charlie’s they’re pretty close to the shovel you were looking for. I know the videos a couple years old, but they’re sold on Amazon. . Thanks again.
Hey man ! thanks for the tip, I will go check that out. Appreciate it man. Cheers !
Any chance of you doing a merch run anytime soon? Would love to get some stickers for my machine
Hey man ! shoot me a message on Instagram, Facebook or my email in the description and I can get ya on my sticker list,
I messaged you on instagram, thank you.
I have no idea what it cost but I bought the identical shovel to yours last year at Canadian Tire.
Oh Really???? thats wild I will have to check out CT and see if they still have them. thanks Gary !
Curious to know if Americans can bring their quads to Canada and ride those trails. I’m seriously considering it if it’s not a govt hassle. (21’ Honda Rubicon & 21’ Yamaha Kodiak”)
Hey man, I dont know 100% for sure but I would think you would be allowed to ride here as long as you are 100% legal. Here in Atlantic Canada your machine needs to be registered and insured (like your car does) and you need to have a trail pass. Each club has a pass but if you have any trail pass you can ride any trails in NB + NS+ PEI+ NFLD. Unfortunately Quebec doesn't recognize our passes and we need a Que trail pass.
@@Maritimer Cool deal bud, I'll def look into that sometime.
If you tried those trick birthday candles to put in your kit? They are wind resistant
Hey ! No I havent tried those but thats a good idea ! thank you !
@@Maritimer How do you like your demon heated grips?
@@scottmichelin5697 Hey, I love them, they have worked perfectly.
@@Maritimer Ok cool, thanks for getting back with me. I greatly appreciate it! I will be getting some then
Your necessary outdoors equipment is completely missing the first item in my list. Unless Mr. Castro forbids your answering the question, how do average Canadians feel about their firearms rights being taken?
Hey man ! Yeah law abiding gun owners are being punished for gun violence that's in big cities, by people who don't abide by the law, don't own gun licenses and are using guns illegally brought into Canada from the US. So none of us are happy about it, luckily the Conservatives are fighting against it, and were counting down the days to an election to vote that idiot out.
Saying that, in a survival situation, would you really choose a gun over a way to make fire or a shelter? I love bringing my gun with me when I wild camp but I'd never take it over those two items. just my opinion though.
Bear spray
That is something I need to get for sure, thanks !!
