I want to thank you so much for sharing your videos with everybody, they have really been helping me get prepared for when I start my chemo. I found out that I have invasive ductal carcinoma. Everybody tells me I am so lucky that I am young and that I was able to catch this cancer early.
I'm worried about starting chemo soon because everybody says everybody has different side effects. My fiance has also been worried and also not knowing what to expect. I've watched a few of your videos so far and it kind of gave me an idea of what to expect.
And I just want to let you know that you are beautiful no matter how you look, I don't look at you any different 💜 I will be getting aggressive chemo once every three weeks for 4-6 months. Then 4-6 months of not so aggressive cancer before my breast surgery.
But I wanted to say thank you for sharing your experience with everybody because they really helped me out.
And I hope that everything turns out great for you!!

You made so much sense. I have been a nurse for 35 years and you speak right from your heart and clearly you go through every action and side effects with precision and accuracy. This is so important for others choosing this route. Yes, you feel all the pain and endure it because it's saving your life. You said that so well by reminding so many woman who are going through cancer, that you have to focus on the end results. The cure and being alive for your family, especially your precious children. You have a lot of living to do. You are a warrior princess. You are going to win this fight. Make sure that they also help in keeping your immune system in check. Maybe some IV vitamine C if you notice any gum bleeding or like the bone pain you mentioned. Just added ammunition to building the other parts of your healthy tissue that chemo attacks. I would talk to patients families to ask for this because the Dr.'s wouldn't always give it if I asked them to. It's your body and I would see amazing results. You may already be getting this in your bag along with other vitamines and minerals, but please ask your Dr.'s about this. Many times just because you don't show outward physical symptoms, your body is still needing this to repair. Blessings on your journey.

Dee, I hope you get completely cured soon. Thank you very much for sharing your experience with chemotherapy, and detailing the side effects. I have been showing your videos to my 65-year old mother who is also receiving taxol (and other drugs) for breast cancer. Whenever chemo hits her, she immediately says, "it is exactly like how Dee was describing it".
One more thing: she stopped wearing her head scarf after she watched your last video. So, thank you very much!!!

You are so beautiful and positive. I wish you all the best. I will be starting chemo and radiation soon. Iam 2 weeks post neck dissection for malinant lymph nodes in my right neck. I chose surgery first because taking the chance for radiation and chemo taking too long to shrink the tumor, and possibly causing this cancer to spread in the meantime. I pray I can remain as strong as you are.

Hi Dee. You are so strong and uplifting I too have breast cancer diagnosed 12/4/17 idc it was stage 2 b with lymphnode involvement. I did ac and now taxol. I have 12 rounds of taxol, did my 5th one yesterday. I am 37. We are definitely too young to be dealing with this. But we will get through this and be cancer free soon. Thank you so much for telling your story!!!!! I am so glad I found your channel. Prayers and love from tampa, fl.

Thank You for this entire series, but for this episode particularly.
I am totally different circumstances, but yet very similar. I have lung Cancer and have had one lobe of my lung removed. My Oncologist feels my surgery went well and I'm in good shape with no spreading to the lymph nodes, but she was quite honest about the statistics for recurrence. Going ahead with Chemo has its downsides as you mentioned, and in my case only improves my odds very little. But you have convinced me that, like you and so many others, I can do this. And if it gives me any better odds against this disease it will be worth it. Thanks again. Be Well.

I did a course of Taxol. Ended up with 13 doses after it was only supposed to be 12 weeks and 12 doses. Always had an "appetizer" IV of diphenhydramine, ondanzetron and a steroid which I assume stopped any possible reaction to the Taxol. I did well with it but it took away my appetite and I lost all my hair. The doc put me on cyproheptadine (Periactin) to stimulate appetite and it's working well. I can't stress enough to those going thru cancer: get plenty of rest and food. It's hard, I know, but we have to get on.

Dee i have just found your videos and feel you have saved my life. I am just about to go through the third round of chemo. I have the exact same plan as you for chemo and less radiotherapy. My first chemo was horrific as i have addisons disease and had the skits so didn’t absorb my steroids yhat make me function as well as chemo side effects which are similar to my body crashing in addisons so chemo effects x 2. I honestly thought i was going to die. The only side effects i had been told about was hair loss and nauseau so all the other things you described i had and was terrified, you made me realise it was normal and i settled down.
You are lucky you have Noel, i live alone my boys are grown and when these things happen to you and you are home alone it is so scary.
Luckily my boys are a good help as are my friends but it was you that got me through this first part, i can’t thank you enough for making these videos. Please pray i make it through the rest of my treatment. I felt so empowered to fight it before starting chemo and now because it has been so bad mentally i’m not in such a good place now. I need to get my fight back and be a warrior like you were.💞

Just curious about you makeup. Are your brows penciled on in this video? Do you have any video of your makeup regimen and how to apply especially the brows? Are you wearing false lashes? Hope you are doing well!😘

Sherri Smith hi yes my brows are pencilled in and I have a brow tutorial in my videos if you look through “videos” on my channel. No I’m not wearing lashes here. But I do have a lick of eyeliner on! I was never without it during chemo to make it look like I had lashes!!

I just found the brow tutorial! Ty! Did you wear false lashes or did you not loose them? What did you do when you did loose the lashes?

Dee it’s linda again to annoy you, sorry. I had my scan a couple of weeks ago and it showed my tumour was still growing on the red devil so they moved me on to taxol sooner but thought my body wouldn’t cope on the 3 weekly one so have been on weekly one and had my second today. What i wanted to ask was your 9cm tumour triple neg ductal ‘inside you’ which is what i have but mine is 4cm and had grown 2mm since chemo. They are trying to shrink it to do a lump removal rather than full breast as my boobs are huge and are not a good candidate for mastectomy. But what i did find out and i’m livid is that from first scan b4 treatment it grew 2cm whilst the surgeon, breast nurse and oncologist went on holiday for 3 wks at the same time when my treatment should have started and i wouldn’t be having to go through this now. Taxol with my addisons disease is where i have no adrenalin is causing me to now get a wheelchair as my leg muscles have just gone and last week collapsed at home and this week in hosp. I’ve been told to do nothing for the 12 weeks but rest, great fun!
