Astonishing to think Alan would only live for another 30 years after this. He crammed so much into a career that was relatively delayed in terms of his contemporaries
I’m really sorry that Alan’s now dead. Really talented enjoyable actor and he’s gone down forever in movie history as one of the most memorable villains of all time!
The actress who opened the door was the fat woman who loved to sing and break glasses and protected the gryffindor dormitories. Funny how she's conspiring with Snape. 😉
It is so strange how so many people are always describing Alan Rickman as "handsome," "hot" and "gorgeous," and I have seen him on some "Most Handsome Men" lists, but then you CONSTANTLY hear that he "was not conventionally good-looking" or even "ugly." It is REALLY confusing......
My brother had a nose like Alan Rickman's and he got a nose job, like an idiot. To this day I feel bad about it. Some large noses not only look regal, they give a great tone.
Omg the whole time, I was waiting for Alan Rickman to come in the clip…not realising that the man banging on the door WAS Alan!!!! I didn’t even recognise him! 🤔🤦🏻♀️😂
I cannot remember that 📺 series at all,,but late alan was so talented and charming on screen He could played peter wyngarde "s role in a biopic about that gorgeous amd good actor

The funny thing is the way she was gesturing at him reminded me of when I came up from the wash in AZ & ran into the neighborhood Bobcat. I did gestures to show I would go one way & he (?) would go the other. He looked at me & went his way. I’d love to know what he was thinking. Surprisingly the character Morris (Robbie Coltrane) played Hagrid in Harry Potter.
I forgot to add another fantastic movie he was in...."Perfume". He and Dustin Hoffman were perfectly cast in that film, being as the movie was all about smelling things.
I thought I had seen nearly everything he'd been in that was available. I guess this was around the same time he was in the BBC period drama "The Barchester Chronicles". Also when he was in the very grim "Therese Raquin" which creeps me out to this day. I was so crazy about him in the 2000's when he played Snape. He was perfectly cast in that role. Being a man who you simply felt had depths you were unable to see or sense. In all his roles, except maybe the really over-the-top ones, like the Sheriff in Robin Hood, or Quigley Down Under. I'm happy in a way that he didn't live to see "woke culture" and the ruination of London and Canada. He was simply too nice. (I love "Close My Eyes", and "Blow Dry" and "Truly Madly Deeply" and "Snow Cake" and "Galaxy Quest" and "Sense and Sensibility" and "An Awfully Big Adventure"...all class A 5 star films that almost no one seems to notice. But every one exceptional. )
Those are all my favorite movies too! His movies always leave me thinking about the plot and wanting to discuss them with someone. Shame my friends are not AR fans
I have no idea why, but the idea that Alan Rickman and Dawn French have been the same project together (Ignoring HP PoA ‘cause does that really count?) is really weird to me…
Yes Girls on top, both done by Ed Bye who was or still is married to Ruby Wax who was in this. This show also had Tracey Ullman who gave the Simpsons a platform on her show.
He's sitting on a beach in heaven now, earning 20%.
He was/is so cool i have always like him
From common thief to exceptional thief in 3 years.
And since he’s moving up to kidnapping Dawn French should be more polite
Brilliant.
Which was his first movie role by the way.
@@jamesedleymusic first film was Die Hard.
@@voulafisentzidis8830 That's what I said.

"Only 30 years" lmfao. You're making 30 years sound like 3 years!
30 is alot of years
@@TheConorsmithusa His career was very short for an actor.
“Only?”
30 years is quite a long time for anyone.
@@callumbarrington898 He was 6ft
@@callumbarrington898 Youre so right dude, most actors get to work for 200-300 years, poor Alan only got 3 decades ! Its so unfair
I never saw this series but wow Alan looks incredibly hot💖💖💖
He is such a gorgeous man
He got his attire at John Philips, London (I have two myself)
@@Ambir91 yes he is💖
@@PHDiaz-vv7yo die hard i watched that movie just for Alan. And yes in this serie he looks like a casual Hans Gruber

He played a variety of roles. It's only in Hollywood films that he was generally cast as the villain.
His best film was Truly, Madly, Deeply.
I've always loved to see Alan in sitcoms.
The actress who opened the door was the fat woman who loved to sing and break glasses and protected the gryffindor dormitories. Funny how she's conspiring with Snape. 😉
Why not just use her name ? Dawn French. Do people have to die before getting any respect in this world 😂
also Vicar of Dibley - Dawn French
..... thats dawn french, an iconic british female comedian and one half of French and Saunders
And the other woman was Dudley's aunt who got "blown up".
why is he so bloody hot?
Because he's dressed like Tony Montana.
@@maratonlegendelenemirei3352 "Say hello to my little friend, Mr. Potter" 😂
Omg I've been sitting here torchering myself for thinking the same thing! He's not my type but he's handsome!
Alan and Ruby were like family they lived together for a while. Also he helped protect from her parents, he's always been part of her life ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Damn! He's hot. Miss you, Alan
Amazing to see someone who would go on to starring in major blockbusters appearing in a sitcom.
Tracey Ullman used to be on that show as well. And she gave a platform for The Simpsons.
You should see Bruce Willis in Moonlighting
Even weirder seeing Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi going in the other direction for "Vicious".
@@J-S.P Moonlighting wasn't a sitcom.
@@iwaisman actually in allot of ways it was; part detective, romance, sitcom and spoof all in one
Alan Rickman was great friends with Ruby Wax who also wrote and starred in Girls on Top. No doubt, she asked him to appear in this.
He is looking uber sexy, his moustache, beard looks so good and enhance his look❤❤❤❤
What a STUD!

Beauty is subjective.
@@voulafisentzidis8830 I completely agree!! It is just weird when people describe him in just the opposite way.

It’s easier to name actors who weren’t in Harry Potter. Hugh Grant, Rosen Atkinson - I think that’s it.
How have I've never heard of this?
It was sort of a bit like a female equivalent of the Young ones, not as slapstick
They all went on to do great things.
This also used to have Tracey Ullman who gave The Simpsons a platform
*And that girl keeps running away from him*
Alan (to his lads): we do it the hard way.
