ill have you know that your vids are so good that i got accepted as a professional breeder for my tribe and this playlist is what they made me watch as training lol this vid helps so much!
You can appreciate the amount of dedication mega tribes have to take a bunch of 150’s hope they tame out with 50+ points a number of stats then to breed them into a single Dino then get mutations in each stat over and over again till the mutation for that one baby is done then again on another baby for a different stat then combine them this is while keeping in mind it takes 24 hours to breed again and 10% chance for mutation and 55% of getting the parents best gene
wiki says you have a 2,5% chance to get a mutation but three times, not sure if this could also hit teh same stat twice, but it sums up to a 7,3% chance for a mutation. chance to get a mutation on the one highest stat (mele) you want is 0,59% (0,55*0,025*3/7*100) chance to get a mutation on one of two highest stats (mele or HP) you want is 1,18% (0,55*0,025*3/7*200) chance to get a mutation on one of three highest stats (mele, HP or stami) you want is 1,76% (0,55*0,025*3/7*300) if you breed your stud with like 60 females who have under 20 mutations, you average a useful mutation per breeding cycle... then you need to get the best stats onto one again (1stat=55%, 2stat=30%, 3stat=16%, 4stats=9%, 5stats=5%, all stats=2,7%) since you need it to be a male cut those numbers in half. so if you want to be serious about breeding you need like 200 (or however many tames your server allows minus the farm dinos and a few open slots for hatching and taming) females and hatch eggs one by one to kill inferior ones instantly. to create for example the "perfect" rex army this way would take you at least 70-80 breeding cycles. (with perfect i mean a lvl449 with 184 lvl in mele and health, 77 lvl in stamina and lvl 1 in oxygen, food, runspeed and weight)
I’m seeing your videos pop up on my UA-cam feed! I’m so happy to see your videos are getting some love!! You were my pioneer for Ark back when they had SOTF servers up and running (R.I.P.). I haven’t seen you upload in a few years though. I hope everything has been going well for you brother! P.S. You won’t remember me because I changed my name..
Glad to hear from you again! All is good over here :) I want to say I do remember you...your profile image was an ark logo right? JayGaming or something like that?
Not sure if anyone posted this before . but anything bigger that a Rex , you can set its Targeting Distance to Lowest , and then when you switch Enable Wandering to breed , to wont move , so you dont have to tap "U" all the time :)
So my thought coming out of this video for official servers is that you want to tame lower lvl dinos so you have more room to get more levels into the stats you want to make a more custom dino because of that 450 cap.
No and yes you would do what he did tame some nice stat ones then you would find some lvl 5 whatever your lowest level dino is for me its 5 looking for stats you dont like that are 0 then breed that into your good combined dino this would lower the level of the good dino but only lose 1 stat you do not care about like speed or oxygen or food
Great Video man! I remember the best rexes I ever had, now I know the system how all that stat thinh works I know we were incredibly lucky. We tamed 5 wild rexes and got 2 were over a long time breeders since one had 65 in meele and the other on 64 in Health. Everything else was incredibly bad obviously but we after a few days of breeding we got the superbaby we called Alpharex, and raided some people. After a few weeks someone said in chat, the Alpharex is stupidly strong and we referred: "Yeah, but it's now Betarex :D" It was on unofficial with some breeding speed ofc, but 12h for one baby with 100% imprint is still a long time. Well, now I know how I can make another Alpharex thanks to you sir :)
Berrut on official if you can pass 250 (hatch) then you’ve been breeding for so long I’ve heard someone on official has a 345 gig at hatch no imprint to me that’s crazy
On official everythink takes like ages, and you have to built vaults for one ressource only later on. I hate these servers and respect everyone playing there at own will. Edit: we were only 2 Men, so 12h is still a good time since you have to waste basically the whole day playing a game for onyl one Dino and cant even leave the base together for resources or some scouting.
Berrut well once it hits 10% it’s juvi and it will eat out of troughs by then your good just fill the trough and you got like and hour to 2 hours of grinding and if you have tek trough then your good
PoV: Your wondering if any of this has changed in the last 3 years, or if you could start your dinos off at lvl.1 if you could force Force only 113:Melee/113:HP and 112:Stam/112:Weight on a lvl.450 dino with 0:Oxygen 0:Movement 0:Food of coarse you'd want Movement on Dinos that you'd actually desire movement on like Flyers and Transports....
Movement is a wasted stat in breeding, only happens post-tame. And the short answer to your other question is that you don't start at 1 for everything -- you just use a level 5 dino to breed out the stats you don't want from a higher level dino that has the stats you do want
I have a level 450 Snow Owl that has one more level available but it is blocked, they will not allow me to put the extra one level into the Dino. When it was bred as a baby it came out as a 391 and maxed out at 450 of allowable levels even though I had XP beyond that shows available.
So could you breed your lvl 389 with like a lvl 1 rex and set all the bad stats to a very low level (oxygen, torpor, etc.) Then try to maintain those as bad through the breeding process allowing even better levels of good stats? Might be a cool way to really push the level cap limit.
THE GIGA STORY IS 100% TRUE. Long story short it happened on console when someone submitted a ticket for their giga that got killed by a glitch in the game and the dev accidentally typed the gmsummon command out with the level set at 1000 instead of 100. He then left and the tribe immediately bred it with the alpha of that servers gigas, the eggs were then sold to TONS of tribes in the american mega alliance on xbox.. I personally didnt get to play with the giga but some friends of mine from my time playing in the megas on official got to use them and said it was the most broken thing theyve ever used.
@@ARKSpecialForcesVideos it actually took them awhile to make a decision on how to fix that. Hence them coming up with the whole "if a dino hits 450 it despawns" thing. There were tribes who had really good breeders who understood how to min max a line and breed dinos in the high 400s at the time so all those guys were extremely mad when they lost a years worth of breeding after the max level update lol
I don't really get the artificial level cap. Should the cap be implemented "naturally" buy not allowing unlimited level increases? So in this instance preventing more than 40 Mutations on a Dino?
Been thinking about this response. It's an interesting idea, and it gets to the heart of the strange relationship between the concept of a "base stat" and the level cap, which is designed without regard for base vs. leveled. Really exposes how much of a mathematical/game balancing mess the whole system is.
hoping someone responds but, if I'm getting this correct I can have a rex with mat 100000 and pat 100000 and breed it with a 0 0 and I'll still get muts?
Could u help me with this question ?, in the case that u have a level 388 male and 388 female couple (parents) with same stats, their babies that are born 388 also which u cannot level up their 73 levels after being raised because 450 level cap. How can u decrease the base level of their parents so that the baby is born a lower level with the good stats and be able to level up without taking the 450 cap?
you can take a low level dino and breed it with a parent so that unimportant stats (food, oxygen) are low but the important ones are high and it’ll decrease the level
So I haven't heard this mentioned in all the videos I've watched so was curious how breeding works best. Once I have my pair with the best stats, if I breed those together and end up with 50 non mutated females can I breed those back to the dad or am I only supposed to breed the pair I started with? Just curious cause on my server It's a 4-11hour cooldown on breeding so I want to know if I am only supposed to breed the mom which means a lousy 1-3 eggs a day?
As long as the females are clean (no mutations) and have the stats you want, then yeah go for it. As I understand it, this is common practice, get as many clean females as possible=the most eggs.
I know this video is 3 years old but basically what you mean if im looking for levels not mutations as much i just keep breeding parents with the kids over and over again through generations
how do you get lvl 225 dinos in the first place, what is the wild level cap for you? 150? I forgot to turn on the 150 lvl enforcer option in my SP so for me its 120 (and i think 129 for Tek?), which after taming gets me 179 with 100% effectiveness. Maybe it should be 180, idk, 179 seems odd but i have tamed 2 lvl 120 spinos and a lvl 120 rex and all ended up wtih lvl 179.

How the hell did they go from 225 to 295. I'm not understanding this. All my breed Dino's are in-between the levels of the mother and the father. Never higher.
If the parents have different stats, the child can get a higher level than both parents. Every time a dino gets a mutation, it also gets a level. (Double +4, Triple +6)
They went from 225 to 295 because I bred together all the best stats from each of the parents, without mutations. And yeah, mutations are very rare--it's a game of scaling and grinding, unfortunately.
@@maynardcrow6447 Try to get a bunch of females with no muts and breed them with one male. This way you can breed in bulk and increase your chances of mutations while keeping the mutations clean. Replace only the male with the mutations you want, and you can breed in any other mutations you get later on.
Thanks for the info I've been doing this shit wrong for a bit I've only been getting stats on one side and killing the others that had it on the Male side, it's been taking for ever for me to get my dinos to where I want them
I've heard conflicting reports about this. Some people say they've had dinos disappear at 450, others say they can get it higher than that......in any case, the method still works :) Thanks for the input.

Ark mobile :IM Hae these biggest level is 300 but in shotling balm have plus 150 so its 450 and plus the max level 510 and Soma breed have 510 lv and max 570 (maybe this is right)
Max tame is actually 224 brotha you can never get a max tame Dino on official at 225 because they have to eat at least 1 time so because you force tamed them they got an extra level
Can you get the stats to go on to a low level then get the stats to keep going , my thing is people keep looking and thinking about levels but it’s the stats that really count
@@ARKSpecialForcesVideos but if you start at lower levels don’t you have more control over where you’re levels go meaning levels that went into oxygen could instead go into other stats like meelee or health
All levels increase torpor, the speed stat is essentially ignored though when wild dinos randomly put points into it, that's why they're called wasted points, the level increases but the stats stay the same. The torpor increases by the actual level though.
You just breed your mutations in until you hit lvl 450...then down breed it with a lvl 1 or lowest level you can find....keep breeding until you get all your mutated states into one low level dino.
i found a reason to go higher with the levels.... well.. when you bread rexs they spit out a lot of lower level babies. well if you had a level 449 breeder then its babies will be more likely to give you the level you want rather then breeding a 389 and wasting a ton of babies looking for an exact copy... all you gotta do is get the breeders to to a higher level and then their babies will be more likely to be a 389.. id rather throw away a rex thats to high of a level than one thats to low. there is more of a use for dinos maxed out then ones not... plus they are only at to high of a level if you level them up to 450 so dont.. how high could you get its hit points up to if you breed to level 400 and then leveled him to 450... will he be stronger than one 389 leveled to 450???? makes me wonder if stopping at 389 is actually worth it.
@@ARKSpecialForcesVideos i always read that you should breed your super dino with a lv 1 dino to kinda reset the oxygen stat for example but why is that? cant you just breed your mutated dino back with your original dinos so that you get the mutation without the additional 2 levels?
@@dervakommtvonhinten517 The only real reason for that would be if you plan to hit the level cap. In that case, you get rid of the trash stats so you have more levels to give to the good stats. Otherwise, it doesn't functionally matter :)
@@ARKSpecialForcesVideos wouldnt you also hit the level cap without only taking the good mutations? so how can people get thousands of mutations without hitting the level cap?
@@dervakommtvonhinten517 Remember, you don't actually get thousands of mutations. That's just the broken counter. The only ones you get are the ones reflected in the level of the dino.
Still dodo would need to 1 shot certain dinos (like Giga) because of the knock back. So yea i don't think he'll be able to calculate the ammount of effort put in this project. :D
Ok rly honestly what happened to this man. hey do you still exist somewhere in some shape or from? i like you and its late 2020 xD i wish there was more content like this with math and stuff
I exist! No more youtube for me, though. If there's ever a game that needs explaining like the mess that is ark breeding, and I'm into that game, maybe I'll do something like this again :)
So wait, how many mutations can you get with one egg? You've got over a million at one point so I'm wondering if you just did it that many times or if there's something Im missing lol
It's possible to get 2 mutations with one egg (one mat, one pat) but that's very rare. I didn't do it a million times, though, it just counts multiplicatively, so the counter is bugged :)
the babys mutations are the combined amount of mutations from the mother and the father, regardless of the stats that got picked. so it is just a almost useless number with the only function to decide if a mutation can happen or not. if one parent has 19 or fewer mutations a mutation can happen, regardless of how high or low the other parents amount of mutations is.
Im not sure a lvl cap makes too much a difference tbh. Any older server you go to is run and wiped by alphas every 3 days. Its kinda lame :(( good video though brother
Yea. Even for a video game breeding the offspring with the parents seems abit weird. This needs a rework imo. Way to complicated and time consuming aswell.
Yes, it's forcetamed because doing so makes managing hundreds of babies and eggs a lot easier than swapping a billion saddles. They're clearly mutated though, which is not something you can cheat in directly.
Before i go on with the video, i see the like/dislike bar has been disabled which is a red flag this video is bad and had a lot of dislikes otherwise there's no reason to disable it, i'm just going to make my leave here now.
You do know the level cap is literally over 1500? I've tamed Rex with over 80 points in a stat with no mutations. It goes over 150 per stat, but it's ridiculously rare to get over 70. I've never seen anything officially stating 449 is any form of cap. Without mutations, we are running 402 rexes with no mutation. Add 71 levels that's 473. Add in 40 mutations at 2 points per stat, we'd have 553. So yeah...
There are people here saying that, and there are others who have confirmed the cap. I cited the knowledge that I have on official, so if you know otherwise I'd be more than happy to look at it. (Again, official.)
Jer Baron that is for official. Most saying what they have dont go out of their way to mass tame one species. It took 50+ rexes before we found one with over 74 points in melee. It's all rng sweetie. Basically only 1 point is auto assigned and the rest are rng into stats. It's possible to get up I think 219 or something into a kibble tame stat. But we are talking like a .0009 to get that or something. :) They do have in play something that limits values over 449 in ONE stat. Which then rolls it back. But that's my understanding on the latter sweetie.
@@ARKSpecialForcesVideos I have a rex with 98pts born into damage and 86pts born into hp. Official server 46 come hang out I'll unclaim you one. My next generation should be hatching at 408. So I'll know if there's a real cap very soon lol.

Thanks for the info I've been doing this shit wrong for a bit I've only been getting stats on one side and killing the others that had it on the Male side, it's been taking for ever for me to get my dinos to where I want them
i have a few baby 382 and i came looking for a max cap video.. im close lol...
Is breeding a max level carbonemys male and lvl 1 female carbo good
Do you breed with both parents or just 1 of them?
If you're at mutation cap, then just 1
Isn't 450 just the level where sinos will be deleted on servers
hey jer you know 449 isn't the cap ? in the dev kit you can search and discover the max stat ''mutated by breed'' its 250 so aply the 250 on each stat
I've heard conflicting reports about this. Some people say they've had dinos disappear at 450, others say they can get it higher than that......in any case, the method still works :) Thanks for the input.
Jer Baron hey bud yes 449 is the max level any Dino can reach before it disappears ever server refresh
Thanks mikey
what about singleplayer will the creature that exceeds the limit 449 be gone to when u leave and come bk ingame?
Daniel Lillis no
u have to breed babies with parents and after babies of babies with 1st parents or with 1st babies?
So you always breed one mutated dino with a not mutated dino to get further mutations?
Yes
You don't have to, but it's easier to control the mutations if you do. And at a certain point, you have to in order to get more mutations.
Ørjan Rørvoll
I like taming 50 0/0 females and just keep breeding them with a mutated male.
but how did you get the 7 lvl 225 rex in the first place?
Taming at lvl 150. They came out at lvl 224
@LUIZ EDUARDO FRONDANA DAMACENO hahahaha i nearly leaked breeding strats. Your are all not so smart, you guys are my enemies. I wont tell you the sectets about breeding.
Ark mobile :IM Hae these biggest level is 300 but in shotling balm have plus 150 so its 450 and plus the max level 510 and Soma breed have 510 lv and max 570 (maybe this is right)
Youre here after miko caught lvl 405 dino
Max tame is actually 224 brotha you can never get a max tame Dino on official at 225 because they have to eat at least 1 time so because you force tamed them they got an extra level
Not tamed, bred
Unless you're referring to the starting levels here, in which case sure. The procedure's the same regardless : )
Can you get the stats to go on to a low level then get the stats to keep going , my thing is people keep looking and thinking about levels but it’s the stats that really count
Stats and levels are directly correlated, so it's easier to start with a high level :)
@@ARKSpecialForcesVideos but if you start at lower levels don’t you have more control over where you’re levels go meaning levels that went into oxygen could instead go into other stats like meelee or health
does the speed count towards topor? i heard you say it earlier, but i never thought of that
thought it was just levels going down the endless abyss of unfortunate stats
All levels increase torpor, the speed stat is essentially ignored though when wild dinos randomly put points into it, that's why they're called wasted points, the level increases but the stats stay the same. The torpor increases by the actual level though.
do it again on tek rexes ;) Im doing it with them now on vanilla mechanics and my bse unmutated combined stat rex is LVL 303
@LUIZ EDUARDO FRONDANA DAMACENO tek rexes have a higher wild level cap, when you merge the levels of multiple lines you can get it very high
You just breed your mutations in until you hit lvl 450...then down breed it with a lvl 1 or lowest level you can find....keep breeding until you get all your mutated states into one low level dino.
Well with this effort itd be a nightmare if you couldnt farm alfa overseer with these ultimate rexes
how come your 3 you chose to breed were 295?
That's the level I got after force taming 150s and combining all their best stats.
@@ARKSpecialForcesVideos on single i dont ever seen more than 34 lvl
@@erumaster enforce max difficulty option will allow lvl 150 SP is adjusted with SP in mind so max lvl is like 30 or so.
Does it wipe on a non dedicated?
You can adjust the level cap on non-dedicated
@@ARKSpecialForcesVideos thanks man!
Here I was thinking my rexes with 26 health and 25 melee were strong lol.
How can you tell how many lvls are in a Dino if u don’t have super spyglass
Not
you gotta do math which is a bummer
Use dododex stat calculator, you gotta tame it first though
Ark smart breeding, its a small program you use with the extracted files of your dinos. Dododex calculator is only usable on wild dinos.
i remember the dev it was on xbox his name was like snow or something i got a couple eggs
i found a reason to go higher with the levels.... well.. when you bread rexs they spit out a lot of lower level babies. well if you had a level 449 breeder then its babies will be more likely to give you the level you want rather then breeding a 389 and wasting a ton of babies looking for an exact copy... all you gotta do is get the breeders to to a higher level and then their babies will be more likely to be a 389.. id rather throw away a rex thats to high of a level than one thats to low. there is more of a use for dinos maxed out then ones not... plus they are only at to high of a level if you level them up to 450 so dont.. how high could you get its hit points up to if you breed to level 400 and then leveled him to 450... will he be stronger than one 389 leveled to 450???? makes me wonder if stopping at 389 is actually worth it.
how did you get roughly a million mutations?
It's a UI bug. There aren't actually that many mutations, it just keeps multiplying the number on the counter with every generation.
My dinos are born with 40k health, 2500 stam and 1300% attack. Lvl 415
How can you tell by the eggs?
You cant. Eggs always look the same on vanilla
Can you breed a dodo through thousands of generations of imprinting and all the mutations to the point where it can kill literally everything?
Probably not, unless you had specific server settings enabled for no level cap. Then, theoretically, yep.
How many generations are we talking here, and what about imprints is it plus % every generation or multiply % every generation
Still dodo would need to 1 shot certain dinos (like Giga) because of the knock back. So yea i don't think he'll be able to calculate the ammount of effort put in this project. :D
i think at best it can realistically kill a average wild Dilo
Nope
Ok rly honestly what happened to this man. hey do you still exist somewhere in some shape or from? i like you and its late 2020 xD i wish there was more content like this with math and stuff
I exist! No more youtube for me, though. If there's ever a game that needs explaining like the mess that is ark breeding, and I'm into that game, maybe I'll do something like this again :)
@@ARKSpecialForcesVideos hey man thx for answering and so quick. i hope you're doing well whatever you do. ill keep and eye out :D
@Jer Baron awesome to see you still exist! Hopefully one day you will make a comeback! Just maybe!
do you have to constantly pair with the original pair or sometimes mutants with mutants?
To get new mutations, pair with the original pair. To combine all the mutated stats you have into a single dino, mutants with mutants :)
Does every mutation add 2 levels? Also do dinos cap on unofficial pc sessions? I’m playing on a super boosted xbox server
1. Yep, 2 levels
2. You can change the caps on unofficial, so super boosted probably involves doing that.
i’m guessing it’s just a lot of inbred fun time
Hi guy, does imprinting affect future generations at all?
nope
You're Jer Baron. I'm Baron Brand. We are twins.
Your sir are a underrated hero 😂😂😂👏👏👏
Cap is 20 on both sides. After the muts are capped, the chances of getting one are halved. Clean way to fix that problem is breeding with a 0/0 dino
I wish I had the time to breed mutations on official
Domt it sucks play on boosted lol
This is not the cap u can get 1750 base lvl
This seems like a lot of complicated work
Yea I know I just want to play the video game not have to become a gd scientist
Does this still work?
yes
Why?
Is this a reupload?
Yep, some channel stuff happened and I had to take the original down.
Thanks
health, stamina and damage is all I care about in my dinos
What about weight?
@@danktoasties8488 for traveling dinos but weight doesnt matter much in a giga
why do you lie about the re upload on every video
what about singleplayer, the level cap should be 750
way late but SP has no cap
What is the max level of every dinosaur?
Can someone explain to me how to get level 300 dino because I dont understand this and I dont want to waste another 25 minutes of my life
Do you play Xbox at all ?
the everyone is the best part
Max 450*
how y get 295 lvl^^^ its impossible
Mutation stacking. Every mutation adds a level, so if you stack those hundreds of mutations, you’ll get high levels.
when will you do a face reveal??
lol
Im not sure a lvl cap makes too much a difference tbh. Any older server you go to is run and wiped by alphas every 3 days. Its kinda lame :(( good video though brother
Yea. Even for a video game breeding the offspring with the parents seems abit weird. This needs a rework imo. Way to complicated and time consuming aswell.
Pansarpelle Just like Alabama and Kentucky sex
Breed the food and oxygen out
how you know he is lying you can ride the rex and it has no saddle so that means it is forced tamed SIMPLE AS THAT
Cold_Water you are dumb af didnt you see the mutations?
Yes, it's forcetamed because doing so makes managing hundreds of babies and eggs a lot easier than swapping a billion saddles. They're clearly mutated though, which is not something you can cheat in directly.
I have a level 150.000.000 argy
Again a Video where a dislike Button would help so i know if He is right or if it's still working, stuff like that.
Thank you UA-cam, Very cool!
Before i go on with the video, i see the like/dislike bar has been disabled which is a red flag this video is bad and had a lot of dislikes otherwise there's no reason to disable it, i'm just going to make my leave here now.
Thanks for letting me know. Not intentional, you can now see analytics.
Video is actually very informative
Thanks for the clarification :)
@@ARKSpecialForcesVideos I have a rex with 98pts born into damage and 86pts born into hp. Official server 46 come hang out I'll unclaim you one. My next generation should be hatching at 408. So I'll know if there's a real cap very soon lol.
