It's about Halloween 2022 Jonathan and your size comparison using an actual CD has me laughing, I like to go back and visit the past every so often to brush up on my skills that may have gotten a bit out of order and this is where I do that. Thanks for being there and here.
Hi J,think your doing a wondefull thing speaking the word & knnowledg of the dj world Thanx for that, anyway wanted to know your opinion bout the buzz around al sorts of problems operating the cdj400,the tube is stuffed wit them, Thanx again.
Oh man, the CDJ400 seems awesome! I have a question though - you said you prefer the 400 to the 800. In a lot of the videos I've seen, you use the 800. Does it have something in particular you like to use, or do you just like using it to help others?
Nice holiday beard you got there :) That was nice start for comparison that 400 seems really nice piece of kit indeed maybe one day I'll own one or two of those.
i got the pioneer cdj 800 mk2 for xmas, main reason for chooseing the 800's over the 400's was they are more the 'industry standard' as smaller venues have the 800s or 1000's, although i like the added features of the 400's i want to be able to practice on the equiptment ill be useing in venues
Could you please show us what happens when you activate the roll effect and move the platter? Not too many of the demonstrators actually showed that in-depth, so please do that for us? Thanks ~0612
Wow, I've been looking for a comparison of these two units, but have been unable to find one. Thanks man! Just one question: Is the jog wheel as touch sensitive on the 400 as the 800? I've gotten to use the 800 before, and was thrilled with how responsive it was, but it looks like you have to push it down harder on the 400? Or is it the same as the 800?
If, in a mix, you want to use a feature/effect used on the CDJ800 which isn't on the CDJ400 or visa virsa, and notice your track is playing on the wrong deck - you'll be screwed. Best just get two identical decks and you will have conformity.
the usb functionality doesn't work to your hearts desire if there is too much stuff on a usb or and ipod it can take up to 10 min to load or just not at all
it is the mk2( the play/cue buttons are silver) and the 800MK2 ca play mp3 files but only from an actual CD if you want to plug your MP3 PLAYER in you have to buy a cdj 400, or a mep-7000 or the likes (or a numark idj2 but that one doesn't play cd's)
the real test is a cdj 1000 mk3 as that would eat the cdj 400 and then some but £750 vs £450 what would you expect, for me the denon dns3500 is at £550 the best combination
I have to say that for me it deppends on the situation, at my house i use the CDJ800 and i have to say that it's just fantastic, but probably now i would have bought the CDJ400. On the other side i would like to say that for a club it's much more better the 800/1000, just for the ressistance they have. For your house probably the 400 for a club... the 800.
USB 2.0 is faster than firewire 400 actually there is an important difference, and USB ports are more common for peripherals and external drives, the ipod got rid of the firewire port after the first release, and I think it was a wise decision, USB 3.0 will be faster than firewire 800
Its pretty obvious what the differences are... The 1000 has allot more effects and such... If you search on google "cdj 800 vs cdj 1000" youll find the answer you are looking for...
ready loops, more advanced looping. Tested through 2 years (or more if you count in the mk1) Quick return (crap) Bigger job wheel Better looking ;) (my opinion) standard at alot of clubs
I like what the 400s do & I like how the 800s looks:D

I would really love a longer cdj 400 vs cdj 800 tutorial. Cause I think this was just a small look at them both.
Yes, the spinning light does the same job as the ones on the other CDJs. It indicates your position (unless you have it switched off or full on!).
I liked the fact you show the size too !!
Nice comparison , I like this new cdj

@32JSE CDJ 400s are being / have been discontinued, The 800s also will be in August. I would recommend the new CDJ 850s.

Have you heard or seen the Kaossilator? If you already have a Kaoss pad, the Kaossilator makes a good second choice.

The CDJ-400 light can be switched to different settings, including completely off or completely on.

im definetly buying brad new 2x CDJ-400 and a DKM-400
man i love the cdj-400 tnx jhonattan...
Yes it does, it's one of its main features.
I'm curious why there isn't Firewire 800 or even 400 option available on these since USB 2.0 is still quite slow in comparison.

ok, just one thing you forgot, you have sampler on cdj 400 ?
you can, and the difference isn't REALLY big but it is easier to have a pair of one sort
thats so cool, man you are the master.
could you compare the 200 and the 400 ???
plz!!!

Hi thanks this video helped me alot :)

One thing sucks is not vinly mode on numark cdmix 3
yes, i think the rmp's are about 200 euros cheaper so that's al lot :)
Thx,it will be really helpful for me:]
its all about the vinyl mode
does the cdj 800 mk2 have the beat roll thing ?
the cdj 400 looks like a quality cd player
USB 2.0 is faster than firewire 400 actually there is an important difference, and USB ports are more common for peripherals and external drives, the ipod got rid of the firewire port after the first release, and I think it was a wise decision, USB 3.0 will be faster than firewire 800

the cdj 400 has a higher pitch resolution than the 800! 0.02% vs 0.05% on the 800..
What the track
ow. :( didn't knew that.
u really
cant go wrong
if u buy either of them
i prefer the 800
200 is basic. has effects pithc control is simpler.
400 Usb, vinyl mode, effects. advanced pitch range. beat loop triplets. etc...
The CDJ 1000 mk3 has no effects actually
No.
the look the same, but i think pioneer is still al lot better :)
not for me.
hot swapping cd's has appeal to it.
how bout you just buy cds. least you the quality is uncompressed.
dude the 400 is better
