- Tottenham look set to sign a new striker this summer with Richarlison heavily linked with a move away to the Saudi Pro League. But which striker should Spurs SIGN to replace him? In this video, I asked a bunch of your favourite Tottenham Content Creators / Podcasters their opinion on which Striker Spurs should bring through the door in this transfer window. Which Striker Should Tottenham SIGN This Summer? 💰
Gyokeres because he's so intelligent like Kane but quicker and he scores lots of goals plus creates a lot of assists. Him, Son and a top right winger would be great.
He's most likely to expensive so Levy will go for the cheaper option which is Toney a proven 20 goal a season striker in the Prem. There's Gimenez who's value must be dropping with each weak that passes before the closing of the window. Basically, I think we'll get a striker on the cheap who's on low wages. Toney will most likely be our marquee signing. Can't understand why Levy would be so low as to stoop to the level of teasing the fan base with Eze and Gimenez turning up to watch our home games?

Gyökeres is by far the best of the players linked. It’d take a huge bid, but I have a feeling this is the time we could do that. Massively reduced wage bill and only bought youth players do far. Think he’s a level about toney, and is the best possibly available striker out there (obvs can’t include Haaland, Mpape, Kane etc).
I'd be interested to see if we do test the waters...

Worry for me is if we keep Richy, whilst i think hes class and fits the system well, his injury record is the problem for me. And if we buy someone else, whats going to happen to the young strikers we have? Surely Veliz should get gametime

@BenBowman_ yeah that's where i picked up gruda from a well. Im really not into getting more players into the squad with injury issues and questionable ethical issues. We've had enough to deal with.
Toney seems like a diva. There's a bit too. Much pogba about him.
Solanke is a good shout. He's younger, more productive, tottenham is clearly a step up (he's not banging on about United, madrid) id rather 60 on him than toney - if we shift richy. In 2 years we can sell him if he's not worked great. In 2 years i think toney could be an issue to move on. We don't need more of that.

Christian Romero , Micky Ven Der Van , Radu Dragusin , Ben Davies & Ashley Philip will not enough to cover , facing & dealings in all 4 Competetions . Can't believe anyone didn't go for J. David. Superb profile fit. Two-footed. Clinical. Gets in the box at the right times. A poacher. Superb pressing, running, and defending. A team player. A sharp mind. Adaptable. Was brilliant for Fonseca. Was €60m last season, but half that now. Only 24. It makes sense.
I don't mind David at all, I just feel the fact he hasn't made that big move yet is a bit of a red flag - I made a video a few weeks back ranking all striker options and gave my thoughts on it there. I do like him! But feel like there are better fits
I see his lack of a "big bang" season from a different angle. He's steadily improving and been consistent in that. His injury record also excellent. I'm pretty sure he hasn't had aove before now because Lille wanted €60m. I think he'd be solid business, and a great age fit who will blossom around 25-26, like strikers seem to do in the Premier League these days. Let's see - can't wait for the new season whatever.

Don’t get how Gyokeres is more of a statement signing than Toney and worth twice as much. One great season in Portugal, two seasons in the championship and didn’t meet the grade at Brentford. Toney would be more of a statement signing, less of a risk, and cheaper.

btw im pretty sure gyokeres is 100m euros not pounds, still would break the transfer record but come on, he would light the league on fire.

I see Son as an option against a high line, but as soon as the line drops back he's more effective on the left. Of our current players I think Kulu has shown a few times that he has the qualities to play no. 9 against a low block.
I don't understand the desire to replace Richie. What last season showed is the need for two no. 9s in the squad. That would help tactical flexibility. Too often last season Son played no. 9 by default as Richie was unavailable, not because it was the best option against the team we were playing.
For mine I would go for Jonathon David. He has the qualities that Ange requires in a no. 9 and would complement Richie well. Toney certainly also has many of those qualities, but he may struggle to get past the Ange phone call and what can be described as his "no dickheads" rule.

Quality video Ben I think that if we sign tony we are guaranteed 20 goals a season and is a key piece of the puzzle for this Tottenham team challenging for trophies and is the most realistic for levy’s way of transfers

Surely Richi isn't going to Saudi? I'd really like him to have one more year to stay healthy and see what he can do. I wasn't for the signing when he first came to Spurs, but now that he is our player, I have really grown to like him. One of those: you hate him when he plays against you and love him when he plays for you. If he DOES leave, I think we need to bring in two. I have said a thousand times that I do NOT trust Toney. But if we got him at a good price, I suppose I could go for it.
Thinking more about it, what would you think if we did sell Richi and pushed the boat out for Julian Alvarez from City? He would cost a ton, but he is PL proven. I think he would be amazing at Spurs.

Why is everyone raving about Gyokeres. One decent season in a poor league doesn't make him a star player. He's not PL levels, didn't even look a stand out player at Coventry

@@tacticalbanana1523thats the gamble isn't it, but Gyokeres might be a very expensive risk imo. There's not many marquee number 9 signings available at the moment either, it's a difficult one. Jonathan David is allegedly available for around 20 million, we could maybe end up with him AND Toney for 60/70 million which makes more sense to me.

@@BenBowman_ the big clubs have avoided Toney for a reason. He will damage the harmony at the club. Gyokeres has had one good year in an average league and the hype is inflating the price. He isnt very good and will struggle in the prem.
In an Ange system the striker touches the ball very little so i would keep Richy and blood some youngsters in the role to see who can cut it. Scarlett, Lankshear, etc.
In the past, every time we develop good youngsters we let them go, loan them out too much OR annoy them so they leave on a free. That needs to change.
I have watched so much money wasted over the years; Bent, Rebrov, Bentley, etc.
Toney and Gyokeres have the same vibe.

I thought Sporting dropped the price of Gyorkeres from 80 to 60 million. Daniel Levy is the type of snake that would sell Richarlison for 60 million and then sign a young striker for 20 milliion and the fans would accept it lol. This club is a joke but I do think Levy will sign Toney for 30 million from Brentford and Chiesa who's rubbish on the cheap for 15 million pounds. The goal of the owners is to take part but not to win anything while the increase the value of the club by building more properties.

Atletico Madrid are about to sign the Gerona winger Artem Dovbyk for a measly 25 million. Wha't's Johan Lange doing and what was the point in bringing him in? This Gerona winger is perfect for Spurs and he'd be on low wages? I don't get it, Paratici who's as dodgy as fck like our owners is wanting to sign the injury prone Chiesa who averages the same amount of goals as bang average Kulusevski. That's about a goal every 5 to 6 games per season.

I want Gyorkeres as he's such an intelligent striker who has great know how and movement in the box. He works his socks off and is good on the floor as well as in the air. He scores bags of goals and creates lots of assists. He's perfect for us with the Swedish connection too.
For me, it's clear with all the PR spin coming out of the club trying to brainwash the fans that we've no money to spend says it all.
549 million in revenue and we haven't even spent the Kane money yet. We've already seen two summer concerts plus a rugby game in the stadium this summer as there's a constant flow of money into the club.
Levy is just a cockroach who's spending as minimum as possible on the football side so that he can increase the value of the club by putting up more properties. The guy should be sacked after what he did to the elderly fans plus his actions towards the care people for the special needs fans.
Ivan Is completely the wrong profile as a human. brentford backed after his gambling ban and he threatens to leave on a free?. Bit of a nob head and not in a good way. Less drama looking elsewhere.
