Watching finatic for information on fishkeeping is like playing Operation to become a surgeon.
Try athletic tape and wrap it where the fin is stuck open to keep the bone in place while it heals

Good rescue guys. Loving the content. His barb will grow back. My big tiger shovel nose catfish pulled his barb out in the net. It grow back. And he's doing brilliant. I keep his old barb 😁 👍👌

Use a sock net rather then a mesh net. It's what's i use for expensive koi as to not damage scales and minimally damage the slime coat. Please consider this to save fish's fins!!
Or a cradle like they use for dolphins?
There are Hydrogel Wound Dressings made with chitin, a compound from shrimp shells. I have no idea if it's ever been tried to heal fish wounds or what brands exist near you so you'd have to search that out.

Wow what kind of catfish species is the hybrid one and I am asking because it looks amazing and huge.
Give me a few minutes and look at it up online: i can list at least 10 known catfish the rest are subspecies or morphs.

Hi, how about super glue gel? It was used to stitch soldiers on the battlefield. No sticking needles or staples in the fish and no need to remove anything when the fins healed. Just a thought. All the best what ever you do.

Great Vid boys! Is it worth trying a sling the way they wrangle sharks for the bigger fish to avoid the injuries that may come with a net? You may need to tailor it, but you could make a gap for the ventral, pectoral, anal and Caudal.
