Great video. Shelter from rain and shade from sun is important. I had a OzTent Foxwing 270deg awning that mounts in a similar way and is very easy to set-up. It provides a helluva cover. I found having a fixed awning limited its usability to camp/boon-docking spots that were ideal for it's setup and have opted for a Snow Peak hex tarp instead. The shape of the hex tarp allows for set-up to cover the rear passenger sliding van door when space permits but also allows for rear-hatch coverage and alternate, van-independent set-ups when needed. it stores away inside the van, preserving the stealthiness of the van a little.
I just purchased one but haven’t had the time for setting it up. Thanks for the information. Couple questions. Does the steel brace bar on the awning come with two plastic black end caps? I’ve seen other videos were they do include them but I didn’t see any in the box. Second, I was thinking about theft. Wouldn’t it be extremely easy for someone to loosen the four bolts on the sliding track with a socket wrench and slide the awning off the keyed mounts? Hate to play devils advocate, but wanted to get your thoughts
Great video! I am looking to mount an awning to my minivan as well (2021 Pacifica Hybrid). What is the part number of the adapters you used to clamp on to your OEM roof rack and which you mounted the awning to?
Hi, thanks. The awning comes with everything needed except the roof mount cross bars. Mine are specific to my Sienna. Looks like Chrysler PN: 82214552 or Curt C18118 would work for the Pacifica.

This one is also limited, because I have to roll it up to move even a few feet.
Nice! Two sets of hands does make it quicker work of the process. Thank you for this demonstration.
Absolutely!
Watched about 10 of these until you answered my question. Thank you!!
Glad to hear. What was the question?
I’m glad it’s not just me who looks like that when I’m setting up myself
Haha! Right.
Thanks for the great video.
Thank you!

do you know if there is a mosquito net for the 4.5 model?
Were you able to install this to the factory rack?
Hi, everything on the roof is attached to the OEM cross bar system.
@@AdventureGearTV Thank you!
Do u get resistance / wind noises when driving fwys? If so how will u install a fairing
A little at high speeds, but it’s not very noticeable unless it’s a windy day.

@@AdventureGearTV Thanks for the quick reply. Happy adventuring in your Sienna!
How did I know you would have a link to buy the awning someplace?
I get asked for links every time I post a video. Thanks for watching!
Is this the 8ft?
This one is the 6.5ft version. Not sure if they still make it.
What size is this Yakima 6.5, 4.5, or 8
This one is the 6.5.
NAPA sells an awning very similar for $99. Curious to what this costs?
I need to check out the NAPA awning to compare. It could be a much better deal. The Yakima awning is high quality.
I just checked out the NAPA awning and it is a great deal.
