    Nice tips 👍
I have Lens Fn1 allocated to single point AF for the same reason, think I might try 3D tracking and see how it goes.
Those two front Fn buttons are my one gripe with the Z50ii, they're too wee and too fiddly compared to the ones on the D700.
Specifically the lower of the two which doesn't have a good placement, so not ideal for any function needed in a hurry.
I have Fn2 set to "Access top item in My Menu" with the top item being "Auto ISO sensitivity control" that way I can quickly turn Auto ISO on and off.
Fn1 I have set to toggle Spot Metering on and off.
Other customisations I have... Picture Control button set to Release Mode and Release mode button I have set to Metering.
Really enjoying my Z50ii for nature walks, with the Tamron 50-400 its a nice lightweight combination.
Nikon released it at exactly the right time for me, I was about to buy a ZF but this body suits me much better ergonomically and at a fraction of the cost.

@@grahamniven yeah the spacing for the function buttons in the new model do seem a little lower and tighter to access than the original. Great camera though just to pick up and go.

Why not assign a button to 3D[AF-ON] rather than 3D? Pushing the button then activates both 3D tracking and initiates autofocus.

You can but then you loose the ability to place the focus box where you ned to in the frame before you initiate the focus.

Aim the centre point at the target, press and hold 3D[AF-ON] and recompose the frame as desired. Works well for me.
