I’m glad you enjoyed the video. We go twice a year, in the spring and fall. We camp at Doris Campground for three days and enjoy exploring the area. Mt Scott is our last stop before heading home. We love it! ✌🏻
I grew up here. In the dry seasons it looks like some of the areas in the Italian Spaghetti Westerns. The wild buffalo and longhorn herds roaming the National Wildlife Refuge give it the real Western feeling.
MY STOMPING GROUND AND GENERATIONS OF FAMILY. GORGEOUS AND PRISTINE. I STILL GET A KICK OUT OF THE BUFFALOS ROAMING THERE. SO BLESSED TO HAVE ALSO RAISED MY BOYS THERE. GOING THERE TOMORROW ON MY WAY TO LAWTON. I AM BLESSED
Spending quality time with your family.👍
I was just hoping that it was open to drive because of the holiday. I’m not walking it.
Wonderful memories of Mt Scott/Witchita/Meers/Lawton/Fort Sill. Was here from '89-'92 and loved it. Thank you for sharing. Peaceful days to you

Going camping in a couple of weeks. We love the area and going up Mt Scott is the last thing we do before heading home 👍🏻

We love the area! We go about 3 times a year and explore it. Mount Scott is our last stop before heading home. 👍🏻
I didn’t know they had such a place like this in Oklahoma. I’ve only seen flat areas. Nice 👍
I thought it was all flat too until a friend introduced me to this area!
The Talimena drive in Eastern Oklahoma is nice also
paragliding off mt. scott would be cool
Yeah and also from Elk Mountain.
Awesome!
Thanks! It’s an awesome place to visit.
I rode my BMW R/600 up to the top in 1973. Bushy young Spec 4 with a motorcycle and a blond on the back.
Nice, good times. 👍🏻
Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge is the first refuge that Theodore Roosevelt built in America
Thank you for the info, much appreciated 👍🏻
I used to climb the river of bolders every year I camped there.
We go camping twice a year (Doris Campground) and explore the area, driving up Mount Scott is normally the last thing we do before going back home.
Wondering how many people would be calling you a liar for saying that was Oklahoma!
Lol I was calling my friend a liar when he was telling me about this place a few years ago 😆 now I explore this area a couple times a year.
They need to add a pedestrian trail.
