I keep wanting to try this- but a week is like 2 months of my current food spending, and the portions seem really small. It's SO expensive. (Also, I saw someone commented on the speed you speak- I thought it was perfect.)
I hope you make another one talking about the soup. I still gave you a like for saying pros and cons.
I have ordered the grain bowls twice and eat them for dinner. They keep me on track. You can just order grain bowls and pick the ones you want to try.
@Miss Sarah, Question? Do you think you could immediately freeze a couple bowls for a later week?
Yes I think you could! Interestingly, my recent deliveries from them have been frozen (and I’ve kept them frozen for 1-2 months) with no issues at all. I just thaw them 24 hours in advance in the fridge.
@@MissSarahEK Thanks for the fast reply. You are right, I just looked on their site and they said yes. up to 3 mos. in the freezer.
The dry ice probably all sublimated by the time it got to you, totally normal 😄
Woww... I checked my playback speed...
🤷♀️
@@MissSarahEKvery faassssst.... 😃
How many calories are you getting a day if you just eat breakfast lunch and dinner on the splindid spoon
Definitely not enough for a full day! The calories are pretty low on these.
do these have protein?
Most of the items have protein, but I wouldn't necessarily say this is a "high protein" food delivery service.
I tried a stew and a smoothie so far. The smoothie sucks...its the ab&j one. Ughh
It's like the texture of clumpy apple sauce and had no flavor lol
Ahh that's a bummer - sorry to hear you didn't like the smoothies you tried so far!
I agree the smoothies suck, they are not sweet at all and I've tried most of them!! However, the bowls and soups are pretty tasty!
@@MissSarahEK so do you only eat one thing a day? Or like how much do you eat a day
Where can I find a review that is NOT sponsored.
Hey! This review is not sponsored, but I’m sure there are other reviews out there too if you don’t trust my opinion 😉
@@MissSarahEK OMG Awesome! Thank you so much for clarifying I truly appreciated :)
She said at the beginning of the video that she spent her own money on the food- in other words, not sponsored. :)
You keep saying for the most part...and a few felt chalky..like which ones lol
Looking back at my notes for this video, I recall the strawberry goji one was a bit chalky (other than that I don’t remember specifics...I think it was a just a feeling in general about their smoothies)
I am not sure how anyone can think these meals taste ok. Too much kale or other bitter veggies in everything so it is all bitter (YUK). Really weird flavors (I cook internationally, nothing tastes right) The grains and beans/dal are all so grainy because they are not cooked right. No real flavor (there are tons of spices you can use to make this taste great and it just doesn't because it is very little- I added curry to ALL the curries). Every meal has to be doctored to choke it down. The broth bases have no dimension. Whoever is cooking this does NOT know how to do a decent vegetable broth - you have to cook it down to the point you get amino and then use that as a base. I have been on this for two weeks and it's revolting and I am only using them as bases at this point. Great idea, but terrible execution. They need to hire someone to help with texture, spice, and flavor.
