Daigo lookin like hes ascending to an old ancient Japanese wisdom master
Ultra instinct
That's exactly what I thought. You can imagine him sat on top of a mountain with his fight stick. Unfazed by any challenger and just talking about balances.
I think in his Years that he passed through hiroshima during the war was what made him zen like
*ascended
@@andrade2129 No it's ascending. the grammar used in his comment suggests present tense affix, not past tense. learn english before you try to correct somebody bro. 💀
*fights the player with the most freaking points in this damn game*
Daigo: roasts his character choices, thinks about costumes, thinks about chewing gum
This guy xD
Daigo: What? The chewing gum is always pink regardless of the costume?
CAPCOM: Write that down! WRITE THAT DOWN!!
Underrated comment! 😂
What i like the best about this guy is that he actually asks questions and talks strategy openly, in addition to the open speculations and curiosities...
He is the best, after all
I heard that's normal with Japanese players. They openly share knowledge and strategies so that everyone can improve.
he often casually talking while on a fight, but not now. the fact he less talk with the viewer, he is truly focused on the game.
Diago is one of the greatest, if not the best, 'readers' in the game. Give him a couple of sets and he will analyse and dismantle his opponents playing style and routines, then take them apart. What a legend.
ye that’s more adapting than a read
He's definitely neither of those. Hasn't won an Evo or Capcom Cup in what... at least 5 yrs?
@@tecnotuber I literally just found out about Trashbox after watching this video lol. I don't care about him. That win is impressive but idk if he's even been top 3 at an international tournament in years
@@ECLECTICNOW you dont know what the words mean then hes old last time i checked you didnt have to actually play tournaments to be called the best in your country lmao
@@Burning_the_toast That's exactly what you have to do if you believe "being the best" means better than everybody else... Saying he WAS the best is more accurate
Like someone mentioned here, he is very detached from the outcome. I think this is one of his biggest strengths. The less you think about the outcome, the more present you are with what you want to do in the moment, and the better the outcome becomes actually. And, the less desperate you are to win, more easily wins come.
Ah yes! The art of letting things flow! Let it be!
TL;DR: Here for the long run to achieve victory
The thing with Daigo is that you can get him in a short set... But the way he assimilates his oppenent in a long set is just next level... Ask tokido, this kid has an insane birdie
facts everything now and then daigo will lose a set 1-2 or something which makes some of the commenters say that daigo is getting old and he sucks now like fr bro come on
Daigo is a saiyan, he gets better over time and losses so long sets are best for him :D
Yep true and its much harder to win in longer sets. A FT2 can be won through gimmicks and bullshit
i mean, he dominated Tokido on First to 10 set. 10-5 clear win with Daigo Guile vs Tokido Akuma.
@@quekZo95 but if you have full knowledge in the game those gimmicks won't faze you.
Lost half life bar and says: "chewing gum is always pink!" LOL
5:56 "Download Complete"
Thank you for this.

For daigo there is no ranked... U WIN OR YOU LOSE. NO MORE...
that's not really true
@@riz3778 its not true? He just beat rank#1 lol its very true.. rank doesnt always call the match
@@mrincredible1957 yea but daigo doesn't prioritize winning, have u read his book lol
@@riz3778 i never said he did your going into another topic lol
hello fgc translated, i wanted to personally thank you for your awesome work. you do humanity a favor translating japanese arcade wisdom for us mortals.
i hope you keep going bro, really appreciated.
btw, do you know what fightstick daigo uses? im getting back into beat em ups after couple years abstinence and im looking for a good fightstick for pc.
i never played on stick tho, so i maybe learn hitbox instead.
i have no experience on either and ive heard hitbox is pretty good.
i think Daigo no longer use "stick" for guile, he use hitbox nowadays
Stick madcatz te2
@@casualgamingroom I believe this is correct for when they "allow" him to use it. Apparently it caused quite a stir at some events, prompting a ban.
@@badcp455 yeah I mean he can do combos that aren't possible on arcade stick
@@badcp455that wasn't for hitbox, it was for a gafrobox, which was banned for different reasons. hitboxes are generally allowed.
Top player problems: why didn't he pick the pink costume? Lol
I love watching this dude play. He's so detached from the outcome, no nervous mistakes here.
I know right, I think it's one of his best strengths. The less you think about the outcome, the more present you are, and the better the outcome becomes actually. Or, the less desperate you are to win, the more easily wins come.
Daigo really knows how to zone his opponents
Dude has been doing it for 20+ years 😬
@@veganwaffle damn poor gaming literacy hope he doesnt felt privilege when it comes to talkin about games
5:42 DAIGO The BEAST Unleashed
Amazing.. the guy always looks like 😴
My heart pumps just fighting 90k range
That how he wins. He doesn't get excited, he just treats it like another day at work.
Trashbox must've been living INSIDE SFV lobby to get that many points.
I used to watch a lot of his matches and he would bop people really quick. Like 30 seconds per round and hes on to the next one
maybe wolfkrone stopped being a bitch and ragequitting to give him some well deserved points
He lives there rent free
Yeah he plays a lot..
(Im just fishing for those snowflakes comments.)
Can we all just talk about when Daigo took my mans to SUPLEX CITY @6:12 lol!
You can tell just after the 3rd plex Birdie was way too scared to turtle in the corner because of the throws and got set up for the dizzy instead. In the corner when he plays Guile, this is classic Daigo. Also, he has a great walk-up throw. Makes me chuckle every time because it's just so ridiculous that he can get away with that. It's like a solid 1 or 2 second stroll to the character and he just throws them. Gets me every time!
@@ryanshannon7703 yes thats why on evo they call that move.. Daigo walk.
High ranked level play is so boring at times...🤔😕
High level play in sf5 is boring compared to a high level play (s)(u) sf4. I gave up playing this game after season2
Doesn't feel as explosive as tekken 7
It’s boring to watch. But if you’re in the match or if you understand the mindset it’s pretty sick. It’s all about perfect spacing, having good reaction time and answers to their approaches, and feeling your opponents rhythm so you can stuff their buttons with your own. Execution comes last, so that when you get that hit you’re looking for you can make it count.
You can tell trash box has a lot of bad habits from just playing on the ladder all day long, he got antiaired every single jump in but still chose to try his luck at jumping in
Its even worse than just a bad habit. Since those jump ins work on ladder, he doesn't actually have a reason to develop a sophisticated ground strategy.
He has a complete lack of experience on the ground against really strong players. He literally doesn't know what to do, he has no game plan on the ground, so he always ends up going for a jump.
he just needs to enter more tournaments, and train with the pro players more to elevate himself to the next level of competition - similar to how Ryusei's levelled up.
This is exactly why he got bodied in the recent tourney he DID enter. I think it was a good learning experience for him too.
he did attempt ground game but got punished, he didnt do jump ins all day long as you say
@@shirakani no... He get bodies every tournament he joined
DAIGO still the beast ..
Guile is very hard to beat, the same with dhalsim and fang
You just gotta be patient with guile
Exactly you kind of have block very well and go for it when the guile player has an opening or makes a mistake.Rushing a guile player like daigo is a recipe for disaster
ive only played a cpl fang ive been playing ranked for like a week never lost to him Guile is a pain but manageable mostly and i never want to play against dhalsim i’ve beat majority but the ones ive lost to were jus me feeling abismal
Trashbox pretty good for the chracter he plays.Daigo is just one of the masters.
La vieja confiable de Daigo: hacerte una proyección mientras el oponente se cubre de un sonicboom.
I always believe that Daigo is too chill to be obsessed with ranks and shit. It's no surprise he can body this player anytime he wants.
#winner!!
Ladder rank is not a measure of skill, it's a measure of progression.
Daigo's like "I'm just gonna chill here around rank 360 and whenever this dude wants to challenge me.." a perfect KO and 3 straight wins, Lol 😂
YOU HAVE WAY TOO MANY COMMERCIAL ADVERTISEMENTS for a short 11 minute video... stopped watching after the 2nd interruption at around the 4 minute mark
Maybe there's World's Number 1 yet still... There's a LEGEND... Wow...
@5:50 that ah, soka or I get it moment... From then on we keep seeing the slams coming.
Diago is not only the Beast, he mentally assassates his opponents.
Got a question: if Birdie activates his VT1, while he's spitting fire, you can't hit him low?
Both extremely skilled players but the gameplay is so damned boring.
Imagine this fight in SF4, that would have been so nice to watch.
It's light years ahead of Season 1. The launch that disappointed everyone on earth.
Daigo might have been number 1 if he didn't forget his password.
Sf4 era undisputed number 1 player in the East. Thanks to the poster below
If Daigo's in the West then where's the East???
@@squeezlebub3593 3:40am here typo lol
@Shun Goku Satsu he forgot the email password also. He explained on one of his streams
@Shun Goku Satsu No, but Daigo have three accounts on UGM. One from when he started playing SFV, on PSN. Another that he made when he started streaming, also on PSN. And this one currently, that he made on PC for when he decided to change platform.
All of them together don't group as much as what Trashbox have, but if you group it all he could be warlord at least twice.
Not just that, he built up another acct on PS4... and then dropped it to start over AGAIN on PC. Imagine the LP he'd have by now if all 3 accts combined.
LMAO "I have literally zero idea what to do against that..."
He mentions that in older videos as well. It's entertaining since he usually comes up with an answer for anything, but the chewing gum continues to baffle...
Birdie is one of the oldest character in sf
That's funny because I forget that. I remember trying to beat street fighter 1 at Disney hotel in LA they literally had a free to play sf1 next to the pool. I couldn't believe how stupid hard sf1 was. I played it over 50 times in a few days and could not beat it. To this day I can't beat the game
Birdie, Sagat, Gen, Adon and of course Ryu and Ken...
@@pandabearmadness6263 If only the special moves came out consistently...
If Birdie was more like how he was in SF 1, he'd be a nightmare, he was so fast with his head butt assault sometimes.
@@OlJackBurton you forgot Eagle
Daigo once again showing why rank doesn’t matter
No it definitely matters lul Just not to Daigo
@@gloriouspurpose_ Probably on some low to semi high level (to some extent). But once your reach top 10k, its just matter of who grinds a lot. I think brian_f already explain it on his yt channel
It's just like in boxing, you might be ranked first but a Champion will always be above you.
@@jendlti I don’t think you understand boxing if your number 1 in boxing you are the best boxer currently in the sport doesn’t matter who’s a champion
@@jendlti though that is true for street fighter
When you Perfect the number one player in the world!! For Daigo it's just another day @ the office!
I LOVE seeing in these comments people trashing on this player, all this "rank doesn't matter" bullshit. Doubt even 50% of the commenters could beat Trashbox. The dood is good, sure not pro level good, but it's just hilarious the responses in this cs.
ikr its baffling, all these people hating on this guy when daigo himself seems to have absolutely no ill will towards him at all. It's pathetic lol
99% of the comments probably couldn’t win a round, let alone a match, versus TrashBox.
Id sat its more of the character and his utilities. Capcom gave Birdie EVERYTHING. Meterless armored moves, point blank cross up, several ways to beat the FB. Great reach, jumping command grabs. Its easier to win with Birdie than the others
@@GamerHiryu if this were true, the character would be top tier with most people playing him. What are you smoking for xmas, dude?
@snugdarkly 100%. he's rank #1 for a reason
Felt like i was watching an EVO match
So no one gonna talk about the genius setup trashbox did at 4:18? Oh sorry I forgot Diago didn't do it so its not impressive
Calm down, trashcan
When Birdie activates V Trigger the game always becomes laggy
I'be damned
They call him "the Beast" for a reason.
I guess world #1 good is not as good as Daigo good
Theres something in the water where Daigo lives I know it
Steeped in aracade culture, something that unfortunately died here in the U.S.
Arcades are better for japan because its a small country and all the stores are stacked on each other. The US is too spread out for arcades to thrive anymore which is quite sad honestly. My generation sorta missed the boat
@@jimnpen8451 I'm pretty sure arcade culture has been through a slow and painful death in Japan for the last 10 years now. I guess Daigo at least, is a pickle, brined for 30 years in what is now a bygone era.
0:32 the chain clips through his face in the opening animation, looks terrible, just noticed
Daigo really focused on winning!
LTG would say these two are a pair of untalented scrubs if the hud was hidden and no facecam...
He still trash talks bout daigo despite Daigo beign a beast
Ltg: u arnt talented im talented!
The gum is the worst a slow start up like pumping a bike tire but fun I guess not practicall tho against pro players or anyone half decent
When Birdie is within the same distance of guile c. light punch, why doesn't Birdie jump? Guile can't flash kick from that close of distance and c. fierce will not anti air either. What don't I understand? Is it just a level of respect?
Guile airthrow maybe?
How can you throw so many sonic booms without 2 second charge
daigo, do u know how disgusting the spamer is?!!
Trash box was comically funny with his footsie looked like he was dancing.
Daigo adapted to the adaptation. Wow.
THE WAY DIGO USES HIS TWOEL !!! LOL HE IS proooooooo
Birdies character design is way too over the top. He just looks bad.
1m LP….the guy has no life
People Put Way Too Much Faith In Rank & K/D Ratio. It Means Nothing.
Knowing Your Opponent.
Knowing Your Opponent's Weapons.
Knowing What To Do, & When To Do It, Means Everything.
Yo Diago come me see me in Tekken man I'll dust your ass off.
Make it 10 million then come see me again.
He playing like he fighting for that No.1 headband.
diego umejuarez sola
What a legend and a million points looks like; footsies.
Good.
Nice match! Thank you for your translation work!
I feel like the birdie was one dimensional. Creep in for low shorts into confirms. Empty jumps? Chains? Slides? Too few and far between
4:42 lol
daigo made trashbox literally trash
even tb was no match for him..
That matchup is on guile's side
@@321tiempo3 he pretty much smacked the living hell out of other guiles.
Turtle power is true power 🐢
I know Guile is saying sonic boom but guys, just, I like sonicfu.
Damn o loked this video a long time ago
Trashbox, for trashed. He's also an epic opponent
They should create a rank called "GODLIKE"
Lmao Rank means nothing, folks. Only reason trashbox is rank 1 is that he played way more than anyone else.
That perfect was aggressive and beautiful
was trashbox even trying?
Man I really wanna learn Guile but charge inputs really don’t fit with me, kinda annoying but guess that’s the point lol
Learn charge buffering. Also, Daigo uses a hitbox.
5:50 *dat smile* I get it, I get it
*Go perfect next round*
he get 3x throw in a row on the next round
Man i just finished playing rog in gold league. I gotta say, these footsies are something else. Really delicate situations
He got perfected I'm dead
It's street fighter 5, if you actually play this game you know that no matter how good you are you're gonna get perfected once in a while. It's just how the game works. Daigo's gotten perfected plenty of times in his stream by other players
I'm dead you think this is something special. For one it's daigo and two a perfect in sfv isn't insanely hard by any means especially with certain characters and match ups. Come on now
@@SuperKing201 exactly 💯
@@PrettyboyPa
Oof why would any fighting game even be built like that
@holllllke123 In Tekken you can easily die in 3 to 5 moves or in two combos...
Gotta say, Daigo drags his opponents into the frame data point and that's not a fun place to be.
Definitely, Trash was forced into playing footsies since all the jump ins were instantly punished. Though he did make some really good interrupts.
🗑 📦 looks like Ken.
Didn't seem like he was top rank to me.
4:24 super is a joke
Rank don’t mean s***
Unless your one of top 5% that goes or went to tournaments yes it does.
a good player must be able to get a good rank, but not every high ranked player is a good player.
There is rank and then pro level / top elite world player. Daigo is on a level reserved only to the Best in the world. To me and 99% of the Ppl of course rank could be used as a way yo measure Quality , not on Daigo/tokido/bonchan/punk...etc level
@Shun Goku Satsu lol like who? Haha
Rank 1 means nothing against an old master
trashbox is like its name..trash..lol
I just want to know if trash box has any life outside sfv
Playing good against a bell curve vs playing good against very specific situations... both have merits actually
Hope Birdie never sees another game.
I love u
"I have 0 idea what to do against that"
Proceeds to activate Beast Mode.
Birdie "Who's a Ken doll?"
damn you're good. he didn't have a change with you.
Iv never seen 0 jumps in 8 games wtf
Guile wins this matchup hands down. Plus Daigo is on another level.
World Best birdi is MENA RD
Buy how ?
1:42 look away K.O
E o Trashbox apanhando de novo para o Daigo
does trashbox stream?
