You are a godsend for that last one. That is one that has stumped me all game, I'd have only used the bumpers in desperation like after 90 more attempts at it.
SAME! It seems so easy now, having had to Perfect it, but I remember practically pulling my hair out, thinking how "unfair" it was to have to jump over red spheres to get to yellow spheres in a path I could not deviate from.
TwilightPrince123 i thought that one would be the bane of my perfect gold... No it's that damn 4 sphere yellow stage xD i cant for the life of me figure out how to freaking perfect it
Right? That one was bothering me for a couple hours... It was my final Gold Medal. I came real close to figuring it out on my own, and this video confirmed I was on the right track. Who knows how many more hours I would've slaved away without it? XD
Funny story with that one: Ended up missing one of the blue spheres, but I went to the end anyway, and the yellow sphere at the end bounced me onto the last sphere I missed. lol
You shouldn't stop at sonic because your videos are awesome and they deserve more attention because they really do help people just think about it for a little 🙂
5:57 - I missed one Ring on this one. *ONE RING.* I was going too fast to land on it and instead jumped over it! 'Cause you can't control the height of your jump in Bonus stages! And this particular stage is far too long!
Jerod Garrison I know man. Taxman were more diabolical than even Vicarious Visions with their Crash 1 platinum relics when it came to designing these Bonus Stages.
The 20th causes the woRST ANXIETY I COULD EVER FELT, i missed a single ring because I was going to fast and couldn't land perfectly on the ring's position
Stage 20 (5:56) is easy if you hop to the center of the spiral, where the yellow sphere is, and run the course backwards. Negotiating those sharp turns at the end is much, much easier at low speed.
I had all the emeralds and all medals and before the final boss it disconnected saying there was an error.... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKK
I know it can't just be me but I've never been good at the 3D sphere stages but I could always beat the first two at a MINIMUM... but something is very laggy with the controller inputs on the stages. You press dpad too late, you hit a red sphere, press it too early, you fuck it up and have to pray you can find a way to fix it. Then the level speeds up and you hit a spring and before you can even figure out what you see, red sphere. I've never had trouble jumping over the bumper spheres or even just timing multiple jumps over red spheres/bumpers/etc but the controls are just not as crisp as the genesis and especially on the parts where you need to quickly go left then right multiple times or quickly go in, get blue spheres, then quickly turn back out. Sometimes I press left or right and it doesn't even go left or right, other times it does it too early or too late. The inputs are super laggy and just very bad.
I guess it's just down to how one's brain is wired. I know I can stare at anagram puzzles (words with the letters rearranged) for words with 8 or more letters, and NEVER figure out the solution, but a friend I knew in high school always saw the words no matter how complex they were, or how much the letters were rearranged. It just came naturally to him, but not to me. Go figure. Meanwhile I could figure out the Blue Sphere mechanics fairly easily. I noticed that Sonic will ALWAYS walk between titles on the "lines" between them, and NEVER turn early. The inputs will be accepted in-between tiles, so if you pass a line, then IMMEDIATELY press left or right, he'll turn when he reaches the next line. The inputs aren't delayed at all, but if you don't pick up on how Sonic moves and how the game accepted the commands, it can seem confusingly like the controls have no consistency, when they actually do. The tricks our brains pull on ourselves...
If I may add something, compared to the Genesis/MegaDrive days, HDTVs weren't around so response time was instant on a CRT/tube TV. A low response time display might help. This playthrough was done on a 2ms response time monitor.
Sad Face Gaming Did they put that in there too? I saw those concepts on another vid somewhere on YT. But I didn't realize SEGA would approve them for use in an official release... :)

17:47 The Special Stage that always haunted my childhood.

#32 at 25 minutes and 21 seconds. Almost figured it out on my own, and this video confirmed I was on the right track.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I was stuck on that last one for so long
Same here. This is the only one I needed help with. Done all the rest
So THAT's how you Perfect that last one....
Right? That one was bothering me for a couple hours... It was my final Gold Medal. I came real close to figuring it out on my own, and this video confirmed I was on the right track. Who knows how many more hours I would've slaved away without it? XD
Ikr? I played this one like 10 different times and couldn't figure it out
snapslav same
I really tried to figure it out myself but I couldn't so I said fuck it I'm gonna cheat
I wouldn't call looking up this video "cheating". More like "seeking help", especially after you TRY to figure it out for hours without success...
7 years…… hope your alright man.
i dunno if you are still making content but will you do a guide on the chaos in sonic x shadow generations?
5:56 is kicking my ass. It's the only one I have to do. It doesn't even seem hard but it is AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH
Funny story with that one: Ended up missing one of the blue spheres, but I went to the end anyway, and the yellow sphere at the end bounced me onto the last sphere I missed. lol

Thanks for the walkthrough, some of these made me want to pull my hair out. Thank god for debug mode.
You and me both lol
Thank you! I could never figure out the last one.
I could NOT figure out that last one. Thanks!
25:23 Hardest Bonus Stage...
For getting the perfect.
blowskiol I know I didn't even realize the star spheres until this video
Jerod Garrison I know man. Taxman were more diabolical than even Vicarious Visions with their Crash 1 platinum relics when it came to designing these Bonus Stages.
The last one... that CAN'T be how they intended it...
The 20th causes the woRST ANXIETY I COULD EVER FELT, i missed a single ring because I was going to fast and couldn't land perfectly on the ring's position
Bonus Stage 20 was all about timing your jumps right. 30 and 32 were the ones that tripped me up.

@@Konic_and_Snuckles How do you get to the center spiral at the start?
23:20 is anyone else not reaching the third Yellow Orb? I've never been able to reach it besides one time
25:21 drove me crazy I had to look for a guide once I hit stage 32 :(
Stage 20 is the unused 8th Special Stage from Sonic 3 & Knuckles
THANK. YOU.

That's why you press the turn button in between the spheres 👏😉
Joining in the bandwagon. 1 left for the all perfect
Thanks for the number 32, i was trying for hours..... This one is hard as hell!!!! I really love Blue Spheres but this is torture...
Does anybody know what happens when u perfect all the bonus stages?
A trophy/achievement on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. In the process, you'll unlock extra modes and abilities, but getting a perfect isn't necessary.
Sad Face Gaming Well shit so nothing happens in the switch version??? Lol
Yea, and that's what I'm playing on xD
19:17 I hate this one
Legit the only 1 that took me forever to beat
Why do you look so sad
I'm not getting achievement even I have all gold medals:(
Sami Kallio me too, it's so frustrating, why won't it pop?
Anyone having trouble with stage 20 ( 5:56 ) here's an easier solution.
ua-cam.com/video/itKoHlrS0SQ/v-deo.html
Do you mind if I annotate link this in the video?
Sad Face Gaming go for it man :)
I've got it... it's the 16 stages from S3&K (including the 2 secret ones), plus 16 original ones. Sweet... :)
The stages you unlock afterward are pretty cool too. They even have green spheres that turn into blue and pink teleport spheres.
Sad Face Gaming Did they put that in there too? I saw those concepts on another vid somewhere on YT. But I didn't realize SEGA would approve them for use in an official release... :)
25 rings*
hi
So you just get a coin
Bonus Stage 30 is kinda easy :P
I remember beating stage 30 and missing the last few coins. I had to pause to beat it tho.
