As someone who has grown up with networkers living on the north kent line area it’s good they are still in service, it might be unbearable in scorching heatwaves sometimes but they will always be a train I will remember fondly when the time comes to scrap them

I know I'm biased about these units as I've grown up on them, I even remember travelling on them whilst they still had NSE livery from Strood to south east London in the late 90s/early 2000s. But these units don't feel 30 years old (yes I know they had a mid life refurbishment).
Honestly one of the most interesting trains that arguablly existed in the uk. But again that's my bias anyway. That crisp NSE livery they entered service I was the best livery I've personally known

I always liked the class 465 networkers I remember them when they were brand-new in the NSE livery, and the strangest sounding motors 👍👍✅
Yeah, at the time AC traction systems and asynchronous type motors were likely the newest thing to the uk rails when these specific units came around. Hearing the varying pitches etc, would have likely made people think...woah??!!

You're thinking about the 165s, the 465s entered service in 1992
@@GenericLifts nah apparently the 465s entered in 91 but finished entering service in 94, maybe your thinking about the /2 sub-variant
