Tech Talk: Jimi Jules (Electronic Beats TV)

Hailing from the Swiss capital of Bern and now residing in the picturesque city of Zürich, producer and DJ Jimi Jules has been steadily making his mark on the scene since 2013 via releases on Defected, Rebirth, Watergate Records, Hive Audio, the imprint of Zürich’s Hive Club where he holds a residency, and of course in recent years Dixon and Âme’s revered Innervisions, which is the home for his new album entitled ‘+’.
His sound is characterised by deep, emotional and groovy melodies and often traverses through his Caribbean roots and European upbringing. Expressing colourful vibrant moods through organic percussion, brass instruments, guitars and sometimes his own vocals alongside cinematic synth work, dynamic drums and an ethereal, psychedelic atmosphere instilled in his music.

You're absolutely right. I met him after a small intimate show in LA.. everyone wanted to talk to him and he gave every single person the time of day. At the end of maybe 25 conversations you could tell he was drained when he walked out but was still cool enough to thank me and show some love for a minute. He's awesome
