You brought back so many memories of when I used to do all the finishing touches on the cars to a very high standard around 30 years ago. I won quite a few awards for me finishing work. If a customer was having his car in for a complete paint job and wanted it pinstriped I would try and convince them to clear over top of the stripe. Some were good with it and others wanted it on top in case they got tired of it it could be removed. Anyway I had to pin stripe a Dodge Dakota truck in a real fancy way that involved 7 different colors and each had to lay down separately. Wider on the bottom and narrower up top. Anyways it took me about 1 hour per side because he wanted it a special way. So I just got the passenger side done and was about to cut the tape at all the openings. But before I could get the openings cut the body guy and the prep guy got into a fight in the prep side of the building. So I tore over to that side to break up the fight, came back to the car I was working on when they settled down and the wash guy had opened up all the doors. What a mess he created. I was so pissed off. What pissed me off even more is he had no reason to be in that car at that time other then he wanted to check out the stereo the customer had installed. I was the shop foreman and everyone knew that when a vehicle was in my area no one touched it it because that is where all the finishing touches were done by myself. I could have and should have fired that kid because he had done that more then once. But he was a troubled kid with a really hard work ethic. It took me 2 months to teach him how to detail the completed cars to our standards. Sorry for the long drawn out stories but those were some of the best times in my life. Brought back a lot of good memories. Thank you .

Great job and video. I have three caprices and am not usually a fan of the donk type stuff but I'm happy to see you dressed it right. My dad always had one for the family car almost 30 years ago 88 brougham was my first car I actually drove about 15 years ago (not the ls the full vinyl top brougham) and it always pisses me off when I see the moldings and stripes deleted to each his own but I have seen these cars as close to new as you can get and they just don't look right without some of the touches they came from the factory with at least to me. Again great job and I love the color.
