@@McDudes Because with his attunement of fire on sword and the fortifying shield rush he actually gets 2 stacks of fortify on one shield rush, then he can just block an attack and he's at max fortify, or he can hit a clear out with the 2 stacks of fortify for max fortify. He'd also be losing clear out which is better 1vX and also provides him a significant amount of his healing.

question for those that pvp alot. ive just recently got into it. played NW at launch then quit due to the bugs. ive gone into OPR with a musket, rapier, FS, IG, VG and bow. none of these do any damage, for reference they were all 600 GS and all attributes are 150 con, the rest into the respective DEX or INT depending on what i run. now i know you can hit hard, as ive shot a dude in the face for around 700 crit, then he hits me in the head for 3-4k crit... what am i missing? tried random builds and equipment to try become competitive, but to no avail. what am i doing wrong? TIA

I don't understand why consistently MMORPG videos get dislikes like no other genre I know. It's good videos, not offensive, no hot takes or controversy, no drama, yet the ratio of dislikes is so high. I don't get it...
I don’t understand putting malachite or aquas in most weapons. Opal gives you almost a consistent 15% dmg increase that does not count toward empower. Ice gem in say GA only boosts dmg the first 3 seconds of a shower or storm and people have ice gem ward now because so many people run ice gems in their weapons. Also elemental resistance via gems is more effective than phys resistance gems. Malachite is 12% increase only and that’s only in certain circumstances.
@@DerrekU2ber ya true, slash dmg is becoming very popular on amulets now. Health, divine, slash ward. I even want one myself because im a point stepper but I like stacking refreshing ward. It’s a tough call. I think all GA WH bruisers should have slash ammy’s it could really be the main reason you win fights with other bruisers.
thrust ward on ammy for like oprs might be better than slash, especially if you are ranged. I think the stamina recovery perk is overrated because of that cooldown
This first video is exactly why I stopped playing new world. Busted builds like this where you can just face tank people while mowing them down. Terrible.

I miss this game. I wish pvp had more besides OPR. Wpvp was such a great system but they made it totally avoidable which sucked.
Since they added pvp ranks/rewards and special bonuses to owning open world forts open world pvp has been prety bumping again!

All true but people stack slash and thrust a lot more than ice resist. Still not really worth unless you have the ice gauntlet yourself

When people stack physical resistance the int gems become a better option. just depends who you're fighting or what the trend of your server is
