"Desire is the ultimate deja vu" -- love it! And yes, desiring/longing/wanting only becomes an issue when we feel that separation - when we believe we will NEVER reach the "promised land" or perceive an insurmountable gap between our current reality and our desired one, and thus daydreaming/imagining becomes a form of escapism.
Rather than try to change the old me, embrace the new me. Wow

Imagine as first party vs third party. Other teachers on UA-cam teach the idea of imagine as seeing yourself as "first person" in the image. What Tom is saying is BECOME the "first person" in the imagination. Wow! I get it now!!! Feeling is indeed the secret!
