At a summit of Arab and Muslim leaders in Riyadh, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman demanded that Israel halt its military actions in Gaza and Lebanon, condemning the violence as a “massacre” against Palestinians and Lebanese. Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref denounced Israel’s assassinations of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders as “organised terrorism.” Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati spoke about his country’s “unprecedented” crisis, worsened by Israeli actions against Hezbollah. Leaders, including Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, condemned Israel’s operations as “genocide” in northern Gaza. They also called for the unification of the West Bank, Gaza, and east Jerusalem under a Palestinian state.
