    If you guys haven't planned a video about all the ins and outs of speed, could you put that out soon? This video answered quite a few questions about speed, especially relative to distance traveled to hatch eggs, but it would be nice to have a video with all speed-related information covered. You guys are awesome!

    awesome video, the only thing id like to point out is that your sample size for the eggs was less than half of the others so i don't believe the 87% is accurate

    • @eggycat
      @eggycat 8 років тому

      You'd have to do much larger sample sizes regardless, but I did just get a Pikachu with ridiculous IV's from an egg, along with others which are pretty high. Once again though, that could be just a really good batch.

    • @trnrtips
      @trnrtips  8 років тому +52

      You're right, it's not a big enough sample to get a normal distribution, but the variance between IVs in the egg group was much smaller than the other groups. The egg group ranged from 80% to 97% perfect, while other groups each ranged from about 20% to 80% perfect. This tight distribution leads us to believe eggs are meant to have higher IVs than other Pokémon.

    can you please explain gym prestige, and how it works.

    • @trnrtips
      @trnrtips  8 років тому

      If you cannot deploy your pokemon at your teams gym, you must train at the gym to raise its prestige level. Once it is at a high enough level, you can deploy your own pokemon.

    • @abhishekrao57
      @abhishekrao57 8 років тому +1

      +Trainer Tips its sometimes allows use six pokemons to battle a gym and sometimes its only one that you can battle with why is that, and if i fight my own team it does increase the prestige will it kick the lower ones out and what is the highest level the prestige level of a gym can be increased to and how many pokemons can it accommodate???
      i am sorry about too many questions 😅😅

    • @AndresFamily1
      @AndresFamily1 8 років тому

      +Abhishek Rao it allows six Pokemon when you are battling a rival gym and allows one Pokemon while battling your own teams gym

    • @Grim420Reafer
      @Grim420Reafer 8 років тому

      If your team owns the gym, you "train" at it with just 1 pokemon to level up the gym. I personally train until I level it up then go ahead and add my pokemon to defend. Battling other teams gyms is alittle different, I know atleast once I was able to defeat the gym, but it only demoted the gym down 1 level and the blue team got to keep it, not sure why.

    "Each team has an unlisted perk: Valor can catch high CP pokemon easier and attract higher CP pokemon., Mystic gets bonus CP when evolving pokemon and more CP when powering up ones that don't evolve, and Instinct's Pokemon hatch with 90% of their CP bar filled and significantly more candy."

    A thing about Lure modules i noticed!!! Whoever the trainer is, that puts the lure module on, actually has an effect on what pokemon spawns, and how frequent. I've been testing this the past week, and it seemed to be right every time! The higher level the person who puts the lure module on, The higher CP and more frequent pokemon spawns, this totally means, that boosting people is a thing!!!!!!!!!!

    I am actually very happy with that result, it makes sense for them to give better IVs from eggs because they want to promote exercising

    Just a small sample size, but i've noticed that even if the pokemon you catch are of a different cp(range from 10 to 1000+), the percentage of perfect iv's for a pokemon caught by different trainers in the same location will be the same.

    I love how professional and accurate your methods are. It makes me happy that you guys actually used correct methodology and terminology for this research. I'd love to be in your team but I live in Texas. Level 23 trainer and this yielded very awesome results. Wish I could Visit Cali. I'll be down there next month. Hopefully I get some great catches.

    I'd like to see if hatching eggs really gets you on average, more perfect Pokemon. Your sample was much smaller than the other 3 samples so it's hard to compare that number to the other three variants. Once you have hatched another 10 or so eggs, you should do another analysis including this sample and those samples to see if that 87% stays constant or significantly drops closer to the numbers of the other 3 variations. Love the videos and tips, keep it up 👍🏽

    I have 2 major questions: 1. XL vs XS Pokémons. I think it affects your movement speed in battle. I've had tiny but moderately small Pokémon dodge perfectly, and a 700 kg Jynx moving super slow, I've also noticed this with Dragonite and Blastoise.
    2. If I train and beat a friendly opponent with a lower CP than mine, I'd get 10 XP per Pokémon defeates. However when I win with similar or lower CP than my opponent's I'd get more XP, but I can't quite make figure out how weak a Pokémon I need to select (with the correct super effective type of attack and defense) to get the maximum XP. It's difficult cuz the lower my CP the higher the reward, but also the difficulty of winning the battle.
    Hope you get around to check these two questions out. Thank you for your on point research.

    The great thing about eggs is that nearly all the pokemon hatched from it have excellent stats and IVs. It makes the walking worth it. I just hatched a near perfect IV, CP 618 Psyduck.

    This is another one of niantic's easter eggs, team instinct will have higher iv through egg hatching, team mystic will have higher iv through lure methods both module and incense. and valor will have a slightly high iv capture rate in lure methods egg hatching and wild catching.
    Thumbs up so he can test with some other people to prove this.

    As someone who knows the game mechanics well, these kind of videos rarely have new/useful information, but i learned something from this video! like/fav/subscribed great work! i wonder if the IV bias for eggs scales with anything like level.

    I have gone to the same pokestop many times and put lures on it. I believe, maybe, that it spawns a certain set of pokemon everytime you lure something. I have been to that pokestop many times, with most lures attracting ratatas and pidgeys. One time, though, it only attracted magikarps, krabbys, and slowpokes. So overall i think there is a much lower chance of spawning the magikarps/krabbys/slowpokes than the ratatas and pidgeys at the lure. As a side note, I believe rarer pokemon may be linked with the certain type of lure that you have one (this one is a stretch because it has only occurred once). I had a snorlax pop up at my lure that was also occupied by the pidgeys/ratatas (probably mere coincidence, though.)
