I have watched some other intro to layout editor videos that skip some of the basics that you cover. Well done. The cheat sheet is good too. Thanks for sharing.
Your video is by far the best tutorial on creating panels for a train layout. I go to the point of displaying my panel on an older ipad, but I am having difficulties scaling ny panel to fit my screen. Do you have any advice on how to get the panel to full screen and hide the JMRI toolbar on a tablet?
I'm really glad you like the tutorial. I built it to share with my local Narrow Gauge group and local NMRA division. It took me weeks/months to figure out how to make panels work which is why I made the one tutorial that I thought would save a huge amount of time. As to your question, yes you can control the toolbar and sizing but I don't remember off the top of my head. I will tell you I get those answers from Groups.IO under group JMRI Users. You can also search that forum group. I believe you add a CSS file as it is "published" as a webpage and the format can be controlled by a typical CSS file. Even if that is foreign to you, the JMRI guys can usually give you some specifics. I am fairly confident I have seen a couple discussion threads on this very topic. I believe if you search on CSS you will probably find the thread. If you get stuck, post back here and I will try to follow up with you directly. Thanks for the positive feedback.
Nice tutorial. Wish list: an UNDO button! My current project is to add signals to show occupancy (virtual). That's equally convoluted. Let me know f you attempted this. I also would like to have some preplanned routes involving more than 2 switches. I find this harder than it seems. Any ideas here? PK
Great tutorial - many thanks. It has saved me a lot of time.
I'm like you in that there are too many fragmented you-tube tutorials out there. This is the best starting tutorial on the web! thank-you !!

Thank you. I was drowning. If nothing else, I've got a good start point
I'm glad it was helpful. Good luck. Its definitely a journey but pretty cool when its working.
Brilliant, thank you :)
Only issue I had was that the Windows firewall was blocking incoming connections on port 12080.
Excellent video-many thanks!
VERY helpful video. Any additional videos planned? Blocks? Signaling? They would be greatly appreciated.
