Steps to fix your device.
1. Pull apart the spine from the Megaboom
2. Remove the fabric
3. Pry off the charger port board from the battery
4. Remove the charger port from the housing it stays in
5. Install the new charger port
6. Put the unit back together
7. Get back to jamming out 🎵

My PCB isn't broken but when replacing my battery, the plastic cover thar connects the PCB to the motherboard detached from the metal pins. Do you have any recommendations to fix this or is a new PCB needed?

No need to tear the whole speaker apart and pull the whole plastic casing out Just open the top

We believe in you! In the description there is a link to all the parts and tools you will need. If you really don't feel comfortable doin the repair yourself, I'm sure you can find a place that fixes them, but I don't know of any.

So basically the charging port itself cannot be replaced and you need to change the entire board?
You can replace just the port. It is much more complex because you have to micro solder the port off, then solder a new one back on.
When will you have more PCB Replacements?
There is no specific time to when these will be back in stock.

Can these boards be made with a USB-C connection instead of the micro USD?
I don't believe so
Yes, i did this myself because the mini USB port broken and i didnt have proper replacement.
What i did was glue the USB-C port in the opening and attach it to the board with 2 wires.
Fast charging doesnt work anymore if you only connect the +5V and the GND so it takes a while longer to charge. But at least i can still use it.
