I'm a locker from the 70's .. I watch all the new kids that get down ... THESE GUYS ARE THE EVELUTION OF LOCKING! style NOT TAINTED BUT INHANCED! I'd love to hear what Donald "camblelock" camble And Toni Basil think of you guys! That RICK JAMES JOINT YALL DID ... 🔥
The guys that stood out the most for me is the 3rd guy wearing beige outfit/hat and two-tone black and white shoes, 4th guy wearing dreads with spotted outfit, and the 6th guy in black attire with black sunshades was channeling James Brown throughout their enter dance. OMG! I Loved it and was here for it!❤❤❤ The last guy confused me, I didn’t know if he was going to break out in a strip tease mood at the end of his dance or not. Oh nooo! They all were talented. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
I'm almost 72 and an old white guy, but I always enjoyed seeing James Brown on TV back in the day. My Dad thought I was nuts but I liked what I liked! These guys did a great job to take it even farther!
Y'all just don't KNOW ‼️. I grew up listening to Mr Brown: My mom took me to see him in concert when I was 6 y.o. the venue was PACKED ‼️‼️ ‼️‼️. Brown may be THE most sampled musician and, the messages that he voiced STILL reign and STILL need to be heeded ‼️‼️. Mr Brown, you're still my "Main Man"
This vid is the BOMB! I'm 63, back the 70's this dancing was all the rage! I remember seeing Pope, Tony 'GoGo' Lewis, Fred 'Mr Penguin' Berry (a.k.a. Rerun), 'Fluky Luke', Adolfo 'Shabba-Doo' Quinones and Bill 'Slim the Robot' Williams on Soul Train. My brother would lock and robot at our HS dances all the time. These guys bring back so many great memories of the fun times we had.
I am a true, die-hard James Brown Fan! These fellas were Jammin' big time!! They know they can GET DOWN WITH THE GET DOWN!! Great, baaad ass moves. I could watch them all day. Loved watching dancers at 0:15, 0:42, 0:55, 1:20, and 1:35. If they go on the road, I would love to see them live on stage in Chicago. I've seen James Brown and The JBs more than 9 times in Chicago back in the day. I've also seen Maceo Parker perform live as the opening act, not only for JB, but also for the group, "WAR" in Chicago. I had the pleasure of meeting Maceo when he stepped off of James Brown's tour bus on Diversey Parkway by Lehmann Court almost 30 years ago when they were making a quick stop. I screamed in the middle of the street when I saw Maceo get off the bus. I was praying that JB would step off that bus, too, but he didn't. Cool thing is, Maceo was so friendly and down to earth. That made my day. Anyone or group of people who can do James Brown proud, is alright in my book. Keep on doin' what y'all have been doin'. God bless y'all.
This really brought a smile to my face...I love it, I love it, I love it, and I dig it, I dig it, I dig it...I just wish that hadn't left when my favorite part of the song came on, I was waiting for a routine with all of them doing that part together, but it was still Great, and I'm forwarding this to my friends and family to enjoy!!!! Thank Ghetto Funk!!!
From someone who can dance, I just watch this video over and over. I have free styled and did cheorgraphed dancing, this is the best. When you dance free style, you get to truly see how the music makes the body move because it's not rehearsed. We need more feel good content like this. The young man with the vest and hat is my twin in dance. Love you all, keep doing what your doing.
THAT WAS ART! Every detail from the outfits to every movement to the beat was impeccable! I'm so happy to have found your channel! You are all born with the FUNK and I am amazed!
James Brown will make you move!! I love that these young dancers are honoring the old school from the music, dancing, and fashion. However, it looks fresh because of their extreme talent and unique favor. I am a fan guys, I cannot stop smiling!! Bravo 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽!!
I was watching You Tube one night and ran across this video and instantly fell in love with it. These kids are so talented and their moves are enchanting. I’m 75 and love music of all kinds.
You wanna know the joy in this video? These kids weren't even born when this song came out, but you know what? THEY MOTHER F*&^%$ GOT IT!!!!!!! #Respect
Those guys are really super I see reruns moves from that's my mama, many of Michael Jackson's moves some James Brown and many that they just combined from some of everywhere it's just some sational the guys are fabulous 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Now I know every era has its own style & twist on dancing but this stuff right here is truly what getting down is all about! The funk mixed with electric boogaloo was the introduction to breaking & popping which even today dancers are still influenced by it's style! Ain't nothing like it & it will forever be a part of Afrocan American history! So smooth energetic & contagious! Rock on my brother's!✌️🕺🏾🥁🎺🎸🎹🪇🎷🎼🎵🎶
WOW!! James Brown would be very pleased. I just loved this. Each guy had his own flavor and one was better than the next! I love the outfits/costumes and the setting which added to the overall piece!! These guys are fabulous!! Woo hoooo!!😀👍💖
That looked like you guys had a LoTTT of fun. Great video. Blessings to all of you. You put a Huge smile on my face. That is the way dancing should be. Let the music take over and just Dance. LOVED IT!!!!
I love see the new generation enjoy the music I enjoyed as a young man. 70s music was superior in every genre: pop, disco/ electronic, rock, blues, jazz, country, Latin, and most of all in Funk, which is almost extinct now. You can all argue, and there were was great music in every decade , but not on the level and as consistent as the 70s. I'm sorry but that's just a fact.
Incredible, I was just at James Brown home in and around Agusta, Ga. I loved him since in the Army in the 60's. and still do. Its a Man's World. AWESOME GUYS. You have his moves bigtime.
The Elders would be proud!!
Loved every moment of this. Full of soul
I would not attempt any of these moves without an Ambulance standing by.
