Trial by fire! We've definitely have been embroidering a little bit of everything complicated. From small text, large jacket backs, beanies, totes, but it's been really easy to pickup.
Hey Mikey, I was hoping to get the Registration Template as you promised ...😩
@@kelomoigberale6611 I'll have that available on a video about screen printing. :)
I switched to magnetic bobins and will never go back. You will have to adjust your tention for them initially, I recheck tensions once a week when I do weekly maintenance task, but almost never have to re-adjust it. I run the Recoma 1502.
@@jantonejr Thanks for the tip! Where do you get yours from?
@@mikeydesignssilkscreen473 I normally use Amazon or allstitch.com, ETSY and Ebay may have good deals as well. They are fairly inexpensive so if you do not like them you are not out much.
Great job. Looks you nailed it regardless of the complicated process.
Thank you! I feel like things worked out really well and there wasn't too much of a learning curve.
Matt thank you so much for another GREAT LEARNING TUTORIAL. I enjoy watching you teach. I am still learning my RICOMA myself. Currently I am using the 505 for fabric by Odif. Thus far no issues. Please keep your RICOMA tutorials coming. Thanks again
Thank you! I'll have more videos soon. We still have a few more orders going on. One is 20k worth of stitches for a left chest. 50 of them. That should take us about 20 hrs to do.
Nice. I'll check it out!
@@mikeydesignssilkscreen473 Oh Man SO PROUD haven’t got 1 order yet Lol. #MikeyDesigns&SilkScreen IS AWESOME
Very informative video! Thanks so much for sharing. I just purchased the 1501TC and have been struggling with placement.
Matt your killing it. I've told Shannon you're either going to love it or hate it. So LOVE it is!
LOL! I've been nagging her about an embroidery machine for years... I just wish we had bought a 4 head. So that's next. ;) Don't tell Shannon.
Nice job. BTW did you input machine runtime settings for your ricoma when you first got it? I have designs that I did and it doesnt do the speed I want it to sew at. I always have to use the panel+/- to get it to the speed i want it sew but for some parts of the design it slows down for what ever reason IDK. Thanks
Kys embroidery supplies. Hands down the best backing in the business. They are out of Massachusetts but their backing is the best!! No comparison when you want the best quality product!!
Nice! I'll have to check them out.
We use Coats Trusew bobbins because we only want the machine to stop one time for bobbin issues...when it's empty. Looks
like you are getting those stitch densities down. One of the more difficult aspects of digitizing. Great Job!
Thank you! I'll look into those. Starting to get a good understanding. I'm sure it won't be long with some more experience to know what works best.
Filtec magna glide
Best in the game!!
Thanks! Who carries those?
@@mikeydesignssilkscreen473 here is just one place for those bobbins, but you can find them at many suppliers.

Great video! Just catching up with all of them. Hope Shannon is feeling a bit better💜 Blessings for recovery.
Thanks so much
LOVE YOUR VIDS!!! I am learnign a shit ton of stuff to prepare me for embroidery. Can i ask you what you would recoomend for a beginner embroidery machine? Cheap
Thank you! That's awesome. Are you just getting started, or do you have clients already lined up and are wanting to bring embroidery in house?
@@mikeydesignssilkscreen473 Thanks for the response ...totally new startup..
Do you actually rinse the beanies?
I enjoy your videos so much. Someday I'll get into embroidery too ❤️
Thank you!!! Yes! Had I known it was this easy to get into, technically and financially, I would have done it sooner!
Really nice, good job guys
Thanks Matt!!!
Very nice Matt
Thanks, Karen!!!!
I don't know if I missed it, but what brand of hoodies do you use? They look pretty comfy
I believe these were Gildan. I'll have to go back and check our invoices.
@@mikeydesignssilkscreen473 they look really nice. I know a lot of people swear by gildan but I haven't had much luck :/
Nice work
Thank you!
Do you have a video of you hooping a left chest design?
I'm going to make a whole series answering these questions soon. Be sure to sub and turn on the bell.
Do you make custom hoodies?
We do.
What brand are the Beanies?
I know I took a look at the brand, but it's slipping my mind and our client picked them up already. They were provided so I don't have a way to go back and check.
