I never thought I would see the day that someone else knew how to get out of that level the same way i did many years ago. Me and my friend would spend hours discovering new spots.
god me and my friend around the time of halo 2 and 3 prob spent more time glitching in the first to games than we ever played campaign multiplayer or online and we never used youtube
Seriously. I remember getting Halo 3 around 2008 when I got my Xbox 360 for Christmas and looking up all kinds of secrets and easter eggs. I was maybe 12 or 13 years old back then. Those were the days, man.
Jessie Edsell yes, the days were amazing. I remember playing Halo 2 when I was 5 or 6, I would enjoy playing it so much that I would replay the campaign. I remember on my 3rd or 4th run rebeating the campaign, I decided to do some stuff. On the mission Outskirts, I decided to see if I can get on top of a building. Now I didn't have a phone back then so I didn't know there were Easter eggs. But I remembered finding the hidden skull and the Rex Sword on complete accident. Man, those were the days, the good ol days.
I wish people would care more about Halo's story than it's formerly new way of gameplay and the easter eggs. I love those too, but I just wish Halo fans would care more about the story. :(
wow man, your content made me throwback to 2006, when the secrets and easter eggs was the most interesting things, and you preserve the classic editing and commentary
Beta 2020s map designer: "oh nooooo someone jumped out of the map!!! now they'll see the map from an angle I didn't take into account when designing it!!!1!" Chad 2000s Bungie developer: "Go ahead. Leave the map. It's cool, whatever.
The cave itself, in anniversary mode is where you visit before the final gondola ride over to the center structure. One of the elevators that goes underwater goes through this cave and then up. You emerge in a structure at the top of this cave and then work your way to the final gondola. I've been replaying Halo 2 Anniversary recently and I was studying the "Delta Halo" level to try to figure out how all the level fit together since the draw distance is better and more detailed than it was in the original. It is difficult to tell where these structures are in the original since them, or the level geometry, are not loaded in until you hit the load points. Namely, cave doesn't exist until you hit the level load nearby. But, in Anniversary, many of the terrain assets are already loaded even if the structures aren't. All you're looking at is the tunnel that you travel through as part of the normal level progression.
constructive criticism, for me personally. I'd prefer if once you explain how to do a step, just fast forward or make jump cuts to the next. just so I don't watch you hit boxes for 4 mins straight. love the videos tho. keep it up m8
TheSpongeyFrog completely understandable. still love the videos but I wanna see his channel get the views I feel it deserves. always helps to give some constructive criticism : )
for how long it took him to get the crates inside i don't mind waiting 4 mins :) and just goes to show the amount of effort it took him to show this to us and if were that bad you can always skip forward.
You actually dont need to use the crates in the elevator/gondola thing. I glitched out once by accident years back and had no idea what just happened. I was just jumping around in there and I suspect that it had something to do with the fact that the gondola sometimes tilts and I jumped at the exact moment when one gets spawned in there... But I guess the crate option, although tedious, is a little more reliable.
Truly amazing video, I always went out of bounds on Delta halo but never figured how to escape the elevator on regret! I appreciate your work in this video subbed!
My guess is that while you can see it from the outside on Regret if you manage to make it into the water without dying, it's its own separate area that the game teleports you into before the elevator actually hits the water, as evident by the load points before and after the elevator hits the water. I noticed, with help of the acrophobia flying skull, that certain areas you've already cleared show up as just rocky textures in classic mode, but render correctly in anniversary graphics. That the cave only appears in anniversary graphics supports my theory that the loading point teleports you to that spot on the map for that short ride, and back again to whatever tower you're spelunking in.
BRAIN Retexturing existing concepts is a hell of a lot easier then making brand new stuff. However I do feel like they should've taken some of the level design to heart whilst looking over it.
correction to the video: Halo 2 is the only Halo where you cannot respawn, you revert to last checkpoint on co op also. Just wanted to let you know, co op would help to get both boxes tho. the original was like that so naturally the physics and laws of the game are the same
6:12 I've jumped through the ceiling of one of those transports before and went to the ocean floor without dying in the original Halo 2. I was bored while waiting for the segment to end so I was jumping and at once point glitched through the transport pod.
I actually managed (without intention) to clip through the water elevator and you can actually walk on the ground there. i was swimming with the fish as cortana kept saying shit like "It's odd that a prophet would have such bad Intel about his enemie's home-world"
Me and a good buddy back in like 06 got out and would explore everywhere for hours. was wondering how we would've missed this cave, but it makes sense cause its only in anniversary.
But that doesn't make sense you take the underwater elevator to the next fore runner structure. The cave on delta Halo doesn't allow for any fore runner structure on top. The two caves are completely different.
It's the same cave, in terms of geometry. It's not part of the lore that it's there on delta halo or anything, it's obviously only for technical reasons.
I stood on top of the pelican on Halo 2 Delta Halo on the original Xbox, waited for like 20 minutes, it hit a checkpoint, then the pelican flew away, took me here lol. I was so confused.
So I tried the glitch where you put those purple crates into the underwater elevator , and it worked to far, until I hit water. I was going to try exploring the ruins that you get to see during the water ride, and I saw a video before with it being done. But as soon as I hit water, I died. Like, I stuffed the elevator so I'd spawn outside of it, that part worked fine. But I think they patched that with the newer updates
Just a random thought that cave is at the edge of a fairly large crater shaped underwater area could it potentially be a reference to the worm cave thing on that asteroid in star wars episode 5 i think maybe
You said in other versions it did not exist except in MCC, but technically it does since you go through it in a mission, so it just does not exist on the level Delta Halo right? Correct me if I am wrong.
I've been looking for a certain video about a cave that if you get to it you could turn into anything in the game I have now relized that my brother just wanted to see me keep jumping off a clif
It's hilarious how they added all these polygons, when they could have just given high-res versions of the old polygons and textures, only to realize they overloaded the Xbox One's processing ability, so Halo 2 Anniversary would not run in full 1080p. That being said, they better release a 4K Anniversary pack for Project Scorpio, with Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo Reach in 4K, and 60fps. They owe us so bad, over at 343.
So, to keep you from getting to another part of the mission, they load and unload a single piece of matter and spawn in the underwater portion? That's quite a bit of effort put into a 30 second bit of a mission xD Still rather pretty to spectate in the new graphics though
But is it a natural formation?
Stephen mc
Nah, it leads somewhere, so it can't be.
I I AM THE MONUMENT TO ALL YOUR SINS
Very True
ARC-77 Fordo Gravemind quote, right?
Nah, Someone Built it. ;)
I never thought I would see the day that someone else knew how to get out of that level the same way i did many years ago. Me and my friend would spend hours discovering new spots.
A Real Maniac he found this back in 2008 or sometime like that
+bugnotnotthegreat me and my friend found this in like 2006 up at his cabin
A Real Maniac could of shared your find lol. Could of had It named after you.
god me and my friend around the time of halo 2 and 3 prob spent more time glitching in the first to games than we ever played campaign multiplayer or online and we never used youtube
I made halo
Lol every cutscene from here on out has the crate in place of Chief 😂
The gravemind grabs a crate and is like "I am a monument to all your sins"
u discovered halo Atlantis
I wonder how many f-bombs were dropped during the crate bit lmao
Nutcase201 I like how you remembered the exact number.

and halo 1, I was scared of the flood as a young child
Disher yet here we are hahaha

wow man, your content made me throwback to 2006, when the secrets and easter eggs was the most interesting things, and you preserve the classic editing and commentary
That's what General Heed is for. He tries to emulate the vintage feel of Halo: the glory days.
Wait wait wait I thought Spartans can't spend less then half a second under water.....,hacks
DEATH ANGEL1178 lol
DEATH ANGEL1178 It's a new armor ability. But they had to give up the ability to move faster than a brisk walk...
I would have played in classic mode just for the possibility of using a veichle under water without becoming dust
no offence but i hate the aviator it looks like shit
dan danny do you mean avator?
It was so easy to get out of the Halo 2 maps, and that's why I love Halo 2 so much lol
Beta 2020s map designer: "oh nooooo someone jumped out of the map!!! now they'll see the map from an angle I didn't take into account when designing it!!!1!"
Chad 2000s Bungie developer: "Go ahead. Leave the map. It's cool, whatever.
This is the kind of stuff I used to try and do when I was younger. the first time I discovered the scarab gun on halo 2 I shit myself

I have spent years trying to figure out how to get into the cave. Years.
God of Gods You have a nice chin
Mr. Meowman smooth 😘
I guess you could say you REGRET trying to do this glitch at around 7:00
Seth Whitty you mean 7:23

nah he needs to drag out the video for that moneyyy

This mad man is still living after going underwater.
When you died after trying to get the second one in, I could feel your pain through the screen
I remember back years ago playing halo 2 on the OG xbox and the game glitched and my friend and I were exploring under water for ages.
hey I just wanted to say I've been watching your videos for a while and I love your videos
you're bringing my love for halo back. its been years holy shit
I did this in original halo 2 with my friend and it was sort of fun but dang I wish it looked like anniversary does
Truly amazing video, I always went out of bounds on Delta halo but never figured how to escape the elevator on regret! I appreciate your work in this video subbed!

how has 343 remastered 2 halo games and still not figured out the formula.
BRAIN Retexturing existing concepts is a hell of a lot easier then making brand new stuff. However I do feel like they should've taken some of the level design to heart whilst looking over it.
BRAIN one. they only remastered one
they remastered halo 1 as well its just not a part of master chief collection
Anthony Lafleur uh yeah it is
as campaign not multiplayer right?
WOW man! Lots of credit to you for the patience.. ! Cool stuff!
I wanted to find out how to do that for ages!! Thx for finally clearing it up
Your videos are oddly interesting and addicting to watch. I liked and subbed
It’s noble six’s new house after his cave in reach got glassed.
all the times I've played this game exploring and skipping the map I NEVER knew of this glitch
correction to the video: Halo 2 is the only Halo where you cannot respawn, you revert to last checkpoint on co op also. Just wanted to let you know, co op would help to get both boxes tho. the original was like that so naturally the physics and laws of the game are the same
Love your videos man, never failing to amaze me lol
the ocean floor scares me so I was very frightened when I see the cave and what's inside.... kinda terrifying for me. haha
6:12 I've jumped through the ceiling of one of those transports before and went to the ocean floor without dying in the original Halo 2. I was bored while waiting for the segment to end so I was jumping and at once point glitched through the transport pod.
How many times do you basically a day?
Basically a lot.
With that being said
Honestly this is so fucking cool. Awesome video.
I actually managed (without intention) to clip through the water elevator and you can actually walk on the ground there. i was swimming with the fish as cortana kept saying shit like "It's odd that a prophet would have such bad Intel about his enemie's home-world"
Try using "basically..." and "...as you can see" less often. Just a thought.
Well, basically as you can see there's not much reason to stop.
Gotta reach that ten minute mark for the ad revenue
"this is boring let's FF it"
still makes you watch him hit a box for two minutes
Me and a good buddy back in like 06 got out and would explore everywhere for hours. was wondering how we would've missed this cave, but it makes sense cause its only in anniversary.
But that doesn't make sense you take the underwater elevator to the next fore runner structure. The cave on delta Halo doesn't allow for any fore runner structure on top. The two caves are completely different.
The Master Gamer it doesn't have to be geographically correct. its a game. its just loads another area.
On Delta Halo you're looking at the cave from outside of the map, so it's not rendering the side closest to you.
It's the same cave, in terms of geometry. It's not part of the lore that it's there on delta halo or anything, it's obviously only for technical reasons.
I always thought that the cave was where the gravemind was
What interests me more is the underwater city, which I believe is the ruins of the Humans that the Librarian kept on the Ring.
Absolutely beautiful visuals, remind me why halo five doesn't look like this?
The patience is strong with this one.
I stood on top of the pelican on Halo 2 Delta Halo on the original Xbox, waited for like 20 minutes, it hit a checkpoint, then the pelican flew away, took me here lol. I was so confused.
why couldn't you have a second controller but no one using it and you could use the inactive controller to respawn and save the progress
If you have a second player the glitch won't work
man I loved the out of the map exploration on this game single player and multiplayer
0/10 channel, not enough subscribers, but really though, HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE MORE SUBSCRIBERS? YOUR VIDEOS ARE SO GOOOOOOOOD.
Maybe it's the place where the gravemind is where he pulls you under water?
theory: that cave is where Gravemind lives
So I tried the glitch where you put those purple crates into the underwater elevator , and it worked to far, until I hit water. bro i love your videos keep up the great work
Ben Lovering Dabbing pikachu? Oh my god, the cringe.
master chief is by far the most badass spartan, all the ones on reach die in 3 inches of water, he's exploring the bottom of the ocean.
I love your vids bro
I remember riding that phantom passed the gondolas. It was so hard cause it flew so fast that kills you if you arent in the perfect spot.
Just a random thought that cave is at the edge of a fairly large crater shaped underwater area could it potentially be a reference to the worm cave thing on that asteroid in star wars episode 5 i think maybe
I litually spent 5 hours exploring this map. I love this game and still have hours more looking for secrets
I knew it was this and couldn’t be a cutscene since I don’t think anniversary cut scenes are rendered in game
SECRET TUNNEL! SECRET TUNNEL!! THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN!!
Pretty cool!
I love the original intro music.
Best mission smacking creates around showing the coveys what you think of them is the best!
Now we can fly through it with Acrophobia.
new name for video. BASICALLY
this happened to me on the original and you could see 2 d fish and things like that but i got stuck in a trench and couldnt get out
Love the content.
Did you get a new mic? The commentary was really nice in this video!
also if you try a few plasma grenades on top of the elevator the grenades will kill the jackels inside.
You said in other versions it did not exist except in MCC, but technically it does since you go through it in a mission, so it just does not exist on the level Delta Halo right? Correct me if I am wrong.
I always forget to clap when tells us a joke
Can you solve the ODST Easter egg and sand box one
Its probably a temporary design that 343 is trying to make? Like a trial and error thing that they forgot delete
I have always been wondering how do you guys find these glitches.
I've been looking for a certain video about a cave that if you get to it you could turn into anything in the game I have now relized that my brother just wanted to see me keep jumping off a clif

We defeated the wrong enemy in World War 2...
very cool find
Oh I'm early. okay... cool
is there a secret marine somewhere out there? i swear i remember finding one like 10 years ago
maybe that's where the grave mine lives in Halo 2
So, to keep you from getting to another part of the mission, they load and unload a single piece of matter and spawn in the underwater portion? That's quite a bit of effort put into a 30 second bit of a mission xD Still rather pretty to spectate in the new graphics though
How do you change to classic mode and aneverrsary mode?
press the back button
Could it have something to do with the Gravemind?
How is Master chief breathing underwater right now
pretty unique genius.
maby its the cave that the gravemind pull's john in
I always thought the cave there was part of the next mission when you go underwater for a bit before the last gondola.
*Milking video to ten minutes intensifies*
It's obviously where the gravemind comes through
This is so fucking cool wow
anyone know how to get the last skull on the last mission in halo 3 to the end of the mission so you unlock it.
Where can i buy the game?
Maybe the cave is for the submerged elevator
Solved, I thought everyone knew this waaay back when, geometryy's got to be someplace
Theory theory theory, theory theory.
Theory
Theory
I remember getting a tank down in the water in regret, I don't remember how i did it
I tried so damn hard to get those crates into that elevator
that was in h2 or you wouldn't see the lights in og version and ive done this back in the day
I think it's the cave the gravemind dragged the chief into
8:53 Trippy
