Cool. I wish all collectors would understand the complete history of the NBA and add a few cards from eras they didn't watch or grow up with just balance out what is in their collections. Definitely illustrates how perceptions change with the passage of time -- love the review of the Pandemic era thinking. 🤓🏀
@@gameinformationpokertheory I think I've gone through phases (70s, 50s, 90s, etc). It's hard for people to collect players they didn't watch. I wish the NBA would do more to educate about its past.
Great vid. Really great idea in collecting. Keep sabonis and fox in. Kings should have a great year. Was a great year last year and they added derozen.
@@phoenixsportsfan3108 yeah I hope I didn't sound disrespectful towards them because they have been great! For some reason they just didn't fit the "vibe" of this box for me!
When did you buy all of these though? Did you buy all of these during the pandemic? Every single card? Either way you got a really good collection there brother!
Didn’t see Russel Westbrook. could have missed it. also didn’t see any of the 86 inspired retro rookies. Don’t have a rookie box but keep one card for a HOF set. And personally i’d keep Fox in there. But i like Fox and Malik Monk although they aren’t too big in the hobby.
you're sleeping on RJ Barrett. the guy averaged 22/6/4 on 50% last year and he's only 23 years old. he's gonna have a long career in Toronto. might make an allstar game if they start winning. he got canada a bronze. you kept in 100 other crap cards that will never do well lol
RJ Barrett played really well in the Olympics and after he joined Toronto…. Think in real life he’s a post hype breakout this season, at least to an extent. I doubt it translates to the hobby much due to Canada part, Raptors team mediocrity, so much product his rookie year, and it’s not gonna be like All NBA. Combine it all and I think he can break out and casual fans won’t even really notice.

If a collector doesn’t go after the top of each decade than there’s no point in collecting.
Fascinating watch.
@@motorcitycardboard thanks for tuning in!

Appreciate you tuning in!
I enjoyed the vintage (pre-1980)!
@@jasonorozco729 I've got a lot more in other boxes but it's all scattered!
Keeping Ayton and ditching Sabonis is certainly a choice.

@@groundzero270 that's right! Thank you!
Sabonis is a stud, as he is a very underrated player. The hobby ignores him, which is fine by me because I keep buying him.
He's been great for the Kings! I've got a few nice cards from his Pacers days. Maybe I'll show them on here some day!
Just donate your money, sabonis will never be a mainstream in America
Need to get yourself a rodman rookie to complete the 88 quad (reggie, pippen, stockton, worm)

Taking out the Sabonis rookies is almost as absurd as leaving him off the all star ballot this year.
