The 4th All Japan Kendo 8-Dan holder's Invitational Tournament was held at Nakamura sport center in Nagoya on 16th April 2006.
Futagoishi hit Kote and beet Toyomura at the Final Match !!!

全日本選抜剣道八段優勝大会とは
本大会は平成１４年まで「明治村剣道大会」として行われた剣道八段戦を本連盟が継承し 、平成１５年に第１回大会を主催しました。
全国５００余名の八段受有者の中から、受有後５年を経た６５才以下に該当する１００余 名が抽出され、さらに選考委員会において厳選された心技ともに円熟した３２名によって 行われるトーナメント方式の大会です。

I did practice with Toyomura kyōshi last Saturday. His men was like a gust of wind. I, of course, lost but felt refreshed. His kendo was just like that.
