interesting fact about Kosher meat, because of the strict standards in which Kosher meat is butchered, cleaned, drained, and prepared for packaging and sale, the USDA does not require nearly as much oversight over Jewish butchers because their standards of cleanliness are legally defined as far beyond the basic requirements of the USDA and there has never been any reason for the USDA to change that exception in over 100 years.
Absolutely 💯 correct ❤ I firmly believe that eating Kosher is the best and most healthy way to eat. Many non-kosher eaters have so many yummy troubles due to the foods they eat and the way they eat. I have some friends that were interested in eating kosher like myself and once they did they noticed how much better they felt with their digestion, etc.

Having grown up in CH, starting in the ‘50’s, it is painful to see what has become of my beloved Brooklyn neighborhood! I can’t watch. I’ll embrace my warm memories. I’m sure I’ve forgotten more than many think they know. 😪
Hi I have always loved living in New York and Brooklyn، I would like to know why the Hasidim wear black? And why this style of hats that resemble cowboy hats?
Ooh, I’d like to know too! What I do remember from my tour and our time in the clothing shop is this: - the men wear formal clothing as a way of being presentable to God and demonstrating the important of every moment. - The style of hats can actually vary (even in very detailed ways like a brim slanted up or down) from community to community- even just within Brooklyn! (Those of us who are not part of the communities are unlikely to pick up on that level of detail, but apparently among the orthodox Jewish communities, sometimes they can easily identify someone’s community based on their hat.) I know that this doesn’t fully answer the questions that you asked, but hopefully my video made it clear that I am no expert; after all, I was an attendee of the tour! Anyway, if you find more direct answers to the questions, you just asked, it would be awesome if you could come back and let me know the answers!

You are missing the value of a video like this! This is educational for persons who are curious about the Jewish community. We all have to live in this world, and we have many unique customs that others don’t know or know but not understand. This is a wealth of information that explains why the Jewish neighbors do the things they do. Excellent video.
@PROUDCANADIANGIRL I really appreciate that you shared your perspective of mixed feelings! You have a right to feel this way. You should have known Crown HTS back in the '50s and '60s. It was a much more interesting Orthodox community. This video is just another CHABAD commercial.
It’s all a matter of perspective. I liked that the tour guide shared the motivation behind their customs upfront before the walking tour began so that we would understand that the customs are motivated by how they understand the Torah. I hope you found this interesting to watch!
I'm not sure I fully understand the question. I mean, yes, the men work and contribute to society. They can have jobs rooted in religious traditions, such as the scribe, but there are also men who work typical jobs, such as businesses, medical, etc. This video simply highlights the religious practices of people in this community. :)
With all due respect, this is not the appropriate place to write this comment. Please interact with cultural content on my platforms in a considerate manner.
This is a cultural tradition. If you are genuinely curious, I'd advise you research the custom with an open mind and adopt an attitude of appreciation for the diversity of cultures in the world.
It’s Jewish law/Halacha, married women are required to come their hair, mainly because the status both physically and spiritually change. Spiritually in Kabbalah the hair of the married women starts to attract klipah (unholy energy) so with that, they need to cover their hair.
Probably due to the same reason most foods are certified as halal in the UK when the uks pop of Muslims is 5%... they don't want to alienate consumers. If a company manufactures food and it has nothing contradictory to Jewish dietary law; why would they not certify it as kosher and cash in on that 2% of the population?
@@neljay9149 Why? Because Jewish organizations charge them to certify it. Certification is a tens of billions of dollars racket. Typical Jewish shakedown scheme.
@rkreznik If we are truly talking business, then you must consider the fact that these food companies have finance and accounting departments that have likely considered the cost of certifications against the revenue they are likely to incur. Please proceed cautiously when making assumptions about a topic that you do not know much about.
@@hava-media I know enough. Jews make up 2% of the U.S. population, pressure companies to "certify" their products for a fee (to appease 2% of the U.S. population) and occasionally "recertify" for a fee. That's all we need to know about this racket. That, combined with our knowledge and vast history of Jewish behavior and schemes. The evidence is plentiful.

My God don’t require me to wrap something around my arm, or wear a hat, grow my hair a certain way or face a certain direction, or my wife either. God only asks EVERYONE to be worshipped in spirit and TRUTH.
Your phrasing “My God” is great- people have different religious beliefs, and that’s okay. You have a right to yours, but that’s what they are- YOURS. I ask that you continue to maintain your own beliefs while respecting others’. Thank you! 🤍🤍
The video is very informative and I enjoyed watching it. They seem like nice enough people but if their ancestors had converted to Baptists or Harry Krishnas instead of Judaism 800 years ago their lives would have been so much simpler. Our lives would have been simpler too. There wouldn't be protests about Gaza at universities. We could still have prayer in public schools in the United States. We wouldn't have a federal reserve. We wouldn't have all of this gender confusion stuff. Just saying. The real mothers of the Ashkenazi people were four Slavic women who lived in Eastern Europe eight centuries ago. Hava whatever you are , whether a real Sephardic Jew or an Ashkenazi convert you are a very lovely and attractive young lady!
Baffles me how antisemites blame EVERYTHING on the Jewish people spread German 1930s Antisemitic Slanderous Tropes, but are delusional to defend their “opinion” as “true not antisemitic”. @chetanjoshi2159 I honestly have no idea what you’re trying to say. I’d like to redirect this conversation to the intention of this video, which is simply highlighting one of the many cultures that exist in the melting pot of New York City. In my corner of the internet, cultural conversation is approached from the perspectives of curiosity and appreciation. Please keep your comments respectful. Thank you!
This video covers the culture and traditions straight from the source of someone who lives it. There are some variations in traditions even among similar communities, however. That does not make this information wrong; this video is simply focused on the Chabad community of Crown Heights. If you are a reputable source of information and would like to share your credentials, please join the conversation in a kind, meaningful way.
Excuse me, but this kind of comment is unacceptable to post in my space on the internet. This video is a space where we have been welcomed into a community willing to share their traditions and customs-- and many communities are not so generous. Just as this video has been directed with a spirit of interest, respect, and appreciation, I expect the same in return from viewers. Curiosity is good. Appreciation is great. Respect is a necessity. I'd love you to participate in the conversation here, but please reserve unkind/inconsiderate comments and instead only comment on my videos when you have something meaningful to contribute. 💙

You should have known Crown HTS back in the '50s and '60s. It was a much more interesting Orthodox community. This video is just another CHABAD commercial.
So many details that may well be outdated.
It’s all a matter of perspective. I liked that the tour guide shared the motivation behind their customs upfront before the walking tour began so that we would understand that the customs are motivated by how they understand the Torah.
I hope you found this interesting to watch!
It is not outdated. That is why Jews are still here after 5784 years while other civilizations aren't
Are men working?
I'm not sure I fully understand the question. I mean, yes, the men work and contribute to society. They can have jobs rooted in religious traditions, such as the scribe, but there are also men who work typical jobs, such as businesses, medical, etc. This video simply highlights the religious practices of people in this community. :)
Chassis is and ultra orthodox are not the same. All chassidim are ultra orthodox. Not all ultra orthodox are chassidic

WIGS REDICULAS??? CUT YOUR OR COVER YOUR REAL HAIR TO WEAR A WIG???? WHAT IS THE PURPOSE????
This is a cultural tradition. If you are genuinely curious, I'd advise you research the custom with an open mind and adopt an attitude of appreciation for the diversity of cultures in the world.
It’s Jewish law/Halacha, married women are required to come their hair, mainly because the status both physically and spiritually change. Spiritually in Kabbalah the hair of the married women starts to attract klipah (unholy energy) so with that, they need to cover their hair.
FUN FACT: Check your food for a Kosher symbol. Why is so much food in the U.S. certified Kosher when Jews are a 2% minority? 🤔
@rkreznik , interesting question. @neljay9149 , that thought process makes so much sense!

Sorry for my opinion, let’s try a fact. Ezekiel 36:18-23. A quote from the REAL GOD. God WILL NOT be mocked by anyone
So what you’re saying is that you have no social graces. Got it! 😂
You people just want to have a scapegoat minority to slander and make yourselves as a superior Ethnicity/Race not unlike Germans of 1930s Reich.
How shameful.

In my corner of the internet, cultural conversation is approached from the perspectives of curiosity and appreciation. Please keep your comments respectful. Thank you!
So much misinformation it's sad.
You are obviously the one who is misinformed.
Satan central
Excuse me, but this kind of comment is unacceptable to post in my space on the internet. This video is a space where we have been welcomed into a community willing to share their traditions and customs-- and many communities are not so generous. Just as this video has been directed with a spirit of interest, respect, and appreciation, I expect the same in return from viewers.
Curiosity is good. Appreciation is great. Respect is a necessity.
