The main reason we're still using plastics, is because the people in those businesses don't, and I Mean DON'T want to shift out of that biz. They are hell bent on continuing for as long as possible. We need to shift them out by being careful who we vote for.
Obviously, I carn’t disagree with you, outright. But, isn’t voting in the right politician or politicians only one aspect of the broad challenges society faces in transitioning from unsustainable to sustainable packaging?
biodegrading in weeks is problematic for food storage...I have food in my pantry that is in there for longer...kept viable by containers that don't degrade.
It’s weird you say the clearly environmentallly friendly thing is damaging to the environment than plastic* that is known to cause great harm to our ecosystem, your lack of awareness and willingness to understand is really shocking, you should rethink your values if you think your short term “comfort” Is more important than the long term of the planet.

I'd rather use plastic than buy things that come wrapped in seaweed!! Ridiculous!!! And environmentally damaging.
