I owned the previous version but eventually sold it for a few reasons. One was the weird 'extended range' support which they've solved with this new version by simply adding another column to the display. But one thing they kept was the dedicated Output knob that isn't a rotary encoder but rather has physical stops and a line indicator. I think they should get rid of that knob and add an output column to the display. This would make it so much more clear where your output is set for a given preset. This version seems to be much better than the first but I still don't understand why they kept the Output knob the same.
@AndyDemos - Thank you for another amazing demo! I just got my EQ2 last week and even though I've spent a lot of time with it and the Neuro desktop app, seeing the settings you used in here has given me some more ideas for how I can get the most out of it! I'm running a PRS CE 24 semi-hollow into an AC30 and that 4k/8k boost looks like a great way to liven up the humbuckers. Might even buy that secondary switch to for a channel 1 rhythm tone and channel 2 lead tone. Always appreciate what you bring to your videos! Much love from CT.
Wonderful, I’m glad I could help! The presets from others are a great way to get started and explore. I real thought the A/B switch was one of the most helpful feature too. Have fun!
Great demo. Andy I miss the old pedal demos you used to do on a daily or at least weekly basis when you worked at that cool music store. Thanks. Stay safe.
Killer fucking playing as always Dude! I loved the first version of this and this new one looks even better, It sounds stellar and the flexibility really makes thing a useful tool, also dug what you did pairing it with the octave fuzz for the doom kinda thing. You rock as always Andy thanks for the great demo! And thanks for landing on 420 at 2:24, was like “yeeeeeeeeea boiiiii 💨💨”
I recently bought the Spectrum Filter pedal. Its great. I've owned tons of envelope filters and the Spectrum is the last one I'll buy. I had an original source audio BEF and sold it when I got the Spectrum. I want this eq pedal though!
Yeah, lol. I play drums also and, I have shoes just for sitting at the kit to play...if I have to get up quickly and answer the door, or walk the dog, I'm suddenly Mr. Rogers, carefully, yet steady & focused on the shoes, making the swap and securing the drum shoes for their next use...and if I can't find another pair of regular replacement shoes or boots quick enough, I just don't wear any. Sucks if the dog is in a "let's find Alaska right now" mood. But still, worth it to save the shoes. When u find the right/perfect shoes, guitar pick, sticks or any other type of striking implement, strings...the things you can't live without, that need protected and preserved!...you take measures to secure these things even in the face of the end of the world! So, I have backups like 5 deep of anything I feel I can't play without, or might not be available 5, 10, 15 years from now. Like my Xcel Speedsticks 5b in maple wood.🙄 lol. Can't play without em. Fortunately I have a light enough touch to use maple, not hickory, and not break them. They last years. Same with my BlueChip picks. I probably have around 10, and never lost one in 10-15 years. Minimal wear, using a lighter attack and technique...these little things are part of the way I play and make noise. If I have to use a different pick or pair of sticks or shoes that won't slide smoothly on my basspedal,... I'm all clumsy and need time to adjust 😅...I just mentioned this cause all of that just happened to me...lol. had to use a .43 pick. and a pair or pro-mark ? Sticks so dense and heavy, they could've been used as effective weapons! No kidding, after the first few strikes, I stopped and checked for 2 ply heads. G2 so, OK. But damn, so loud, and so hard to finesse a baseball bat for sticks. And the shoes...I have a special pair of discounted Pumas I use just for playing the kit. If I don't have them, I pray I have thick enough socks on...
since this one and the boss eq-200 are around the same price i think it'll be a player preference thing between quick access to the regular eqs from the boss or more in depth choices with a tuner, limiter, and noise gate built in from the source audio
This pedal replaced 4 pedals on my board, if you have an es5 or similar, this is the pedal for you. Hasn't dropped a beat since I got it on day 1 of release :D
I have an Orange Rocker 32 and would like to run an eq through the FX loop for more flexibility on the "clean" channel. This EQ looks great, but worried a digital effect in the loop will compromise tone. Is this just silly? At this point do analog and digital eq's sound the same?
Is it going to work with line levels signals? I’d like to use them from a DJ prospective to tune the speakers, and I’d prefer these over the regular rack mounted equalizers. Would it be possible?
Is the tuner good on this? I've had this on my radar for a while, just for EQ. Now realizing it has all these extra functions - tuner, limiter, even put it to work as a post-drive wah!
I’m seeing a possibility with some new software to be able to dig down further in each frequency and adjust each as a Parametric Equalizer too ... “ Thoughts ! “ or have you considered this already ???
The EQ2 functions as both a graphic and a parametric EQ. Any of the 10 bands can be moved anywhere in the frequency spectrum and each has an adjustable Q control. This can be done in the pedal itself or with the Neuro Desktop Editor or Mobile App.
Graeme Ross i have the voluum and it doesn’t have eq capabilities. The wah function of the eq2 is similar to the wahoo though. I like the wahoo better than the voluum
Good questions! I’ve read the EQ2 is all digital but they’re using high quality converters like Eventide and the latency is so minimal, is a non-issue. 2. You can map various parameters to the Exp. I believe I included volume change in addition to the EQ shift on the intro. Really powerful pedal!
I’d love a newer version as well, maybe less features but keep the best ones like custom exp curves and LFO. You could get some nice trem and vibe with this EQ and the Reflex👌
Pretty good idea. All of the functions seem to fit together. Although there's no distributor in Australia (like usual) and their online store is only with Reverb - there's also nothing in that store. Too hard to get a hold of one.
We (Source Audio) just nailed down our distribution in Australia. We're working with a great company called CMI - they're putting our pedals in a lot of new stores. Thanks for the kind words regarding the EQ2.
Finally some good explanation on why I should spend that much money on an EQ pedal ... damnit!
I happy I could help! 😉
i think this is the most versatile EQ pedal i've ever seen
Add volume booster and equalizer into UA-cam music
BreezyBitch22!

I'm a Source Audio fan! Got a few of their pedals and I'm considering investing in their MIDI switching environment.

Source audio makes some quality stuff. Im still rocking my orbital mod pedal to this day
This is perhabs the best intro song Andy has made for a demo
Loving this pedal! I had the first one and sold it (using the SY-1000 as my all in one pedal board), but I might add this one back on!
I've been dreaming of this pedal for a sooo long
Love the pedal steel sounding stuff that starts around 7:57.
this is the best advertisement for something i dont need ive ever seen
Best eq pedal ever, so far!
That was cool how you tuned up the humbuckers. I have never learned that before!
Great demo, quick & to the point, useful info and cool guitars.
Andy you do great demos with style and grace .
Andy, this can also be used as a cab sim. Just scoop everything 6k and above, with a little boost if necessary on the 3 or 4k frequency for clarity.

Monkey Man! One of the greatest deep cuts from the Stones 🤩👌
Have wanted one of these for a while

Andy do you clean your shoes before every shoot or have like...a pair of pedal vid shoes?
I have a pair of shoes that I’ve never walked outside with haha!
Well what day is it? Hmmm Maybe the black ones Yea with the white soles
I have work shoes and work pants.

@@AndyDemos A Total Pro = attention to detail. oNe LovE from NYC

This one does more, it is also a parametric eq the boss isn't, and it is a lot smaller than the boss.
@@SaintFredrocks The size is what wins here plus parametric EQ
@@SaintFredrocksI went with this over the Boss pedal, this one has more features and seems more usable. Boss EQ-200 looks nice though.
best eq ever
The intro song is nice!
Great Demo Andy, btw I dig that Hagstrom Swede you have hangin on the wall, I have Gold Top Swede and I will never sell it, Those Swedes are sleepers
Those pentatonics!
Amazing demo, and the perfect t-shirt. Thanks Andy.

Hot and heavy intro 🔥🔥🔥

I’m not big into menus but for an EQ? Yeah I’m down to tweak!
Is it going to work with line levels signals? I’d like to use them from a DJ prospective to tune the speakers, and I’d prefer these over the regular rack mounted equalizers. Would it be possible?
Great question! Source Audio EQ2 will accept both instrument (high z) and line (low z) levels.
Subtle nod to the ever-important 420Hz 😏

sourceaudioeffects ... I guess great minds think alike ! Now all I have to do is buy one !😄
Great demo, Andy! And cool t-shirt, btw. ;)
4:54 what is this guitar...? i love so much
Its Work for bass guitar?
Sonuus Voluum does this sort of thing analog in one unit, and has been around for a while now. Great playing Andy
Graeme Ross i have the voluum and it doesn’t have eq capabilities. The wah function of the eq2 is similar to the wahoo though. I like the wahoo better than the voluum
Has Andy always played without a pick? How am I just now noticing this?
Thanks
1. Does this digitize your signal in any way?
2. Can you only do that volume pedal, country thing you did with a flat EQ?
Good questions! I’ve read the EQ2 is all digital but they’re using high quality converters like Eventide and the latency is so minimal, is a non-issue.
2. You can map various parameters to the Exp. I believe I included volume change in addition to the EQ shift on the intro. Really powerful pedal!
Nice, a pedal DSP for guitar!
User to fx loop amp 👍👍
Bring back the Reflex! There I said it
I’d love a newer version as well, maybe less features but keep the best ones like custom exp curves and LFO. You could get some nice trem and vibe with this EQ and the Reflex👌
That shirt! Love it
Fuck yeah Andy. Fuck yeah.
Sick

Deluxe Guitars in Melbourne are a stockist, as are Manny’s music. Seems to be limited stock around at the moment

Pedal empire also sells source audio products aswel
, no doubting the quality here, and the versatility, but is all this really necessary? I’m not sure?
Cool pedal. I assume it's all digital and not analog with a digital controller?
I heard this pedal kills your guitar tone. Is this true?
What do you mean “kills”?
Andy, Andy, Andy...good job.
Andy, were you using an amp mic'ed for this video?
Mmmmm really complete and hifi sounding eq pedal but, I think I would spend more time moving knobs and parameters than
Whalehazard!
not usually into this but first comment! woop!
Hooray!! You did it!
💛🖤💛
Hi, is this pedal analogue or digital?
It's digital.
You always sound better without eq!!!!
Shutup and take my money!
Are we sure that an EQ needs to be *this* versatile?
It's great, just not for me
