Dhan Dhan Aajno

“Dhan Dhan Aajno” is a Ginan attributed to Pir Sadardin that is commonly recited in South Asian Ismaili traditions on Salgirah, marking the birthday of the Imam-of-the-Time. The Ginan is also recited as a way to convey the Jamat’s happiness when they have the opportunity to be in the physical presence of the Imam.
In this Ginan, Pir Sadardin expresses joy for having the Imam as the True Guide and emphasises the need to nurture this loving spiritual relationship. He warns about focusing only on our worldly lives. He calls on believers to also focus on the hereafter and to seek divine reunion through good deeds.
