- It is a beautiful day! Peter runs home for a few things (as we were in the hospital a bit longer than expected) and shows Winnie Palmer from the outside. We debut our brand new vlog intro. This new chapter of our life is the perfect reason for an upgrade. What do you think? Sarah gives an update on her recovery. She's feeling very grateful for how great she's feeling. We're balancing relaxation and activity as best as we can while getting used to our life with a newborn baby! James gets his very first bath and kicks butt on all sorts of tests. As we soak in this magical time with James something magical happened. Our two very favorite Disney movies ("Finding Nemo" and "Hercules") are on TV back to back! It's no fun to laugh one day post c-section, but we can't help we're having a good time. Thank you for all of the kind messages and positive vibes sent our way! We are truly on cloud nine.

I’m beaming from ear to ear my jaw aches what a beautiful little boy and yes he is so alert! Your story is a true love story with so many ‘ups and downs’ but now you can hold and nurture your little James how wonderful! It will be lovely for your family to be back home and Eve can meet her little human brother! Sarah I know how you are feeling, I have had three children all delivered by C section albeit a very long time ago, every day you get a little stronger as long as you get your rest when you can, with Peter by your side that will make it easier for you, so happy for you and your family💜

Flash backs! I had no idea what room I was in and was so turned around when we left finally. Hope you starting to feel more normal at home!
Love the new opening! James is adorable, as expected, and as I'm sure everyone else has noted/will note. But I think my favorite thing about this vlog (and this whole adventure, other than James' existence of course) is that we keep getting rundowns of all the hospital food. Like who other than the Brookharts would keep documenting hospital meals?! Like they do look pretty good, but still...I don't think that's normal. If anyone ever accuses you guys of changing your channel just tell them that it was never a Disney channel, it was always a food channel. I have such a love of y'alls love of food, and that it just hasn't changed.
Oh i remember leaving the hospital after i had my son, i was in there for 7 days and Oh my gosh to walk outside and feel fresh air felt like a million dollars! I hope yall were able to go home, if not then soon. Congrats again on such a beautiful baby boy!!

I'm so glad you are enjoying your family time together already! I was so beat in the hospital that I functioned much better while home. Peter, you are such a great support! Sarah, your throat sounds a little hoarse...I'm guessing from the breathing tube they put down your throat during surgery. I hope you recover quickly!

I hope you got to go home! Everything is so much easier when you get home and have real rest in your own bed. Loved the intro on the Vlog. Also, I'm going to give you some advice- Don't listen to any unsolicited advice. Everyone will try and tell you what they did and what you should do. You guys clearly have this under control, and if you ever feel like you don't, you have people you love and trust to ask. So that is the last advice I will give you : ) Congratulations again. He really is so sweet.
