I was there for this, amazing night, this was when he was a legit dj throwing down the best tech trance at the time.....People now have no idea what he once was....:/ ... at any rate enjoyed the nostalgia
dude thx for the info i listened to a john o'callaghan set from 2018 and if i didnt know better i would think this is a late 90's early 2000's classic trance set....oh and btw he is doing a full spectrum 4 hour set (full spectrum meaning all his alias's john o'callaghan, joint operation, Mannix, Henrik Zuberstein and Stenna) in chicago aprix 14th 2018
I absolutely agree, this is the Tiesto I know and brought me to love trance. Maybe he'll return to this soon. It's good that this still exists for us to hear regardless of what direction things take.
I feel so sorry for this generation. They have no idea how amazing night clubs use to be. This is the Tiesto I remember dancing to till 6am. Club is still bumping and everyone having a great time. Everyone loves everyone even though we just met on the dance floor. The dj teases us as we all wait for him to kick up the incredible BASS to max and we show him our love ❤️
By 2011 I noticed the “difference in generations” when the EDM crowd is confused when the breakdown kicks while keeping their hands down, while we would be in paradise with our hands up.
@@iland9250 Oh damn your right we raised our hands up..then again it was a different time a different energy..all i do now is reminisce about it some things just cannot be repeated and thats ok!
People today literally have no idea about “DJ Tiesto”... brought dj’ing to the next level...doesnt just mix random songs..he always created a fucking journey with trance...not possible with house...just the nature and structure of tracks!!!!
The music is still current and works, i mean the genre, what got old is the djs, they started doubting themselves and did what old people do, "appeal to younger audiences". That is old people talk, you know you're old when as an artist you think you are disconnected from life because of your age.
I remember hearing this live on party 93.1 and wishing I was there. I had seen him live for the first time on 05/30/2003 @ Space Miami with my closest friends and I will never forget those memories and experiences from that night - shortly before this tour. This set was very controversial within the trance community back then. In particular, his intro and first few tracks were very different than his usual style/openers. He came back and threw down a great set after the first few tracks. Man, it was such a good time to be in the scene, albeit by 2003, we were at a peak of the true underground trance sound. Everything after became so commercialized, but there was still so much good music being pushed out up until around 2011 IMO. I still find myself coming back to sets from 1998-2011. Will always love this time period.
Thank you so much for Timestamps!! So many videos exclude them or rely on listeners to create them. Wow, Timestamps AND Chapters - bonus points!! Having either is disappointingly really rare from my experience but this has both right away and that's awesome - pretty easily placing this in the top ~10% of what I've seen/listened to on UA-cam. Video of the DJ would frankly make this one perfect IMO, but I gather those can be even harder to obtain.
Thanks for the feedback! Based on the comments on my videos in which people usually look for the id of the particular song played at certain time, I hope that efforts to provide that details will be appreciated.
2020 and I still can't get over that amazing intro with Markus Schulz playing that beautiful remix of Jewel's Intuition with Buster announcing the number 1 DJ in the world, back in the days when he was a true DJ before becoming an "artist". And what about that first track from tiesto? A massive remix from "On A High". Best years for Trance music.
