Agreed that Celtic away kits should always be yellow and green. That hideous grey and white hoops with green sleeves effort from 2011-12 really took some beating for worst ever Celtic kit, but going back a bit further the 1991-92 away kit with at least 4 different shades of green, the upside down mountain (which also looked like a downwards plummeting financial graph - perfect for our parlous financial state at that time) and the red, white and blue 'Peoples' sponsor ('we are the people', anyone?) is the worst Celtic kit I have EVER seen. Stick with yellow and green for the away kit, and generally you can't go wrong.

Always loved Celtic in a Yellow Away Jersey.

The kits haven’t been totally bad across the board, not a fan of how adidas are reusing the same sleeves and the side streaks across most of their kits, sheer laziness
Same style of collar on virtually every shirt as well National teams and club teams all have the same template collar design.....
I agree completely with you about the Celtic shirt. I love it except for the giant shamrock. Keep the original badge or even the centenary badge and I'd put it at no1
It's not a shamrock, it's a four leaf clover - but you're right in that it spoils the shirt.
There’s nothing wrong with the clover whatsoever there’s a clover in our main badge as well…
It's not the clover I don't like, it's just the oversize of it@kieranmccabe

CELTIC TRANSFER TARGET WISHLIST 2024/25! 🏴🍀
Celtic are sitting on record amounts of cash and with the new Champions League format being more financially rewarding than ever, we NEED to improve our squad to compete at that level.
For this post I am going to assume that Matt O’Riley will be sold for around £25-30M this summer and I am going to give myself a budget of £35-40M (€40-47M).
Here are SIX realistic players Celtic should sign to improve the STARTING ELEVEN this summer to help us compete in the Champions League…
🏴 | Archie Brown (LB)
Age: 22
Club: KAA Gent 🇧🇪
Transfermarkt: €5M 💰
PROS ✅
* 22 years-old
* 6’3
* Physically VERY strong
* Technically very comfortable with the ball at his feet
* Good experience despite his young age playing both in the Swiss Super League (Lausanne-Sport) & Belgian Pro League (Gent)
CONS ❌
* Likely to be a lot of interest in the player
Fee? €8-10M
🇫🇷 | Brahim Traoré (CB)
Age: 20
Club: SM Caen 🇫🇷 (Ligue 2)
Transfermarkt: €3.5M 💰
PROS ✅
* 20 years-old
* 6’3
* Aggressive
* Comfortable on the ball
* Ambidextrous
* Versatile - able to play centre-back or defensive-midfield
* Excellent range of passing
* Likely to be very affordable - Ligue 2 clubs don’t generally get massive sales on players
* MASSIVE potential
* Key member of France u20 National Team
CONS ❌
* Inexperienced at top level
Fee? €5-6M
🇵🇹🇦🇴 | Dário Essugo (DM)
Age: 19
Club: Sporting CP 🇵🇹
Transfermarkt: €3.5M 💰
PROS ✅
* 19 years-old
* INCREDIBLE work ethic
* Brilliant tackler (2nd in Liga Portugal last season)
* Excellent use of the body to either shield the ball to win a foul or edge in front of an opponent to win possession
* 5th place u21 midfielder with the most interceptions in Top-7 leagues last season (4.94 interceptions per 90)
* 10th place u19 midfielder for short/medium range passes in Top-7 leagues
* Fast
* MASSIVE potential
* Sporting CP reportedly willing to listen to offers which should make a deal viable
* All-action defensive-midfielder
CONS ❌
* Very few first-team minutes
Fee? €5-8M (difficult to gauge)
🇯🇵 | Koki Saito (LW)
Age: 22
Club: Lommel SK 🇧🇪 (second tier)
Transfermarkt: €4M 💰
PROS ✅
* 22 years-old
* VERY tricky winger
* Direct
* Exquisite ball control and touch
* HUGELY successful loan spell in the Eredivise with Sparta Rotterdam last season
* Very marketable being Japanese
* Celtic having a contingent of Japanese players would likely help Saito settle well at the club
* Likely to be INCREDIBLE value for money (only 12 months remaining on contract + contracted to a second-tier Belgian club)
CONS ❌
* 5’7 - possibility of struggling with physicality of Scottish football
* Unproven of being able to handle pressure of playing for a massive club like Celtic
Fee? €4-6M
🇳🇬 | Kelechi Iheanacho (ST)
Age: 27
Club: FREE AGENT ❌
Transfermarkt: €12M 💰
PROS ✅
* Experienced at a very high level throughout his career
* Overall step up in quality
* Worked with Brendan Rodgers previously at Leicester City
* Good finisher
* Fast
* FREE transfer
* Nigeria international 🇳🇬 (55 caps)
CONS ❌
* Expensive wages
* Potentially unrealistic transfer given how many clubs will likely be interested
Fee? FREE
***MARQUEE SIGNING 💎***
🇺🇾 | Luciano Rodríguez (RW)
Age: 21
Club: Liverpool FC 🇺🇾
Transfermarkt: €8M 💰
PROS ✅
* 21 years-old
* VERY fast
* INCREDIBLE trickery
* Excellent free-kick taker
* Entertainer
* Affordable - Bahia FC apparently close to agreeing $11.2M (£8.67M) deal in three instalments (Celtic could DEFINITELY match that!)
* Celtic would make HUGE profit in the future
* High profile player which would bring a lot of attention to Scottish football from South America
CONS ❌
* Close to agreeing a deal with Bahia FC (Celtic should have been all over this transfer months ago!)
Fee? €10.2M
