  • I noticed from the house that there was a baby so I ran out to check and was surprised to find another on the way! I got some great footage of the birth, their first steps, the welcoming party and them getting their first meal! The next video I'm working on is another adventurous day!
    Thanks for watching!
    A to Z Alpacas is in Alberta Canada! Its my dad's farm and he has almost 300 alpacas! We shear the alpacas (no harm done! Just a haircut) each year and make really soft, warm and beautiful alpaca yarns and socks, bedding and more! Check out our etsy shop! www.atozalpacas.etsy.com and homepage www.atozalpacas.com
    I post on Facebook often and Instagram as well look me up! @atozalpacas
    Here is the link to my playlist - hit loop and watch alpacas run, play, mate, fight, explore, and just be. Alpacas are so fun to watch and a peaceful life most don't get to experience so I enjoy sharing little bits of my heaven with you.
    Thanks for watching!

    Alpacas are amazingingly gentle and tough animals. How does something that big come out of something that small.

    Yeah when they fall down like that is usually a problem or the mother is getting extremely tired and worn out and that can also cause problems trust me I used to work in a hospital I don't really know if that is the kind of same thing with animals but oh yeah you can definitely tell when the mother is having a problem because the breathing changes you no arms and legs start shaking and you can definitely tell when something is wrong with a baby

    You only panic when the mother falls down and collapses and you see her having a very difficult time breathing and you only help pull downward when contracting as a best way to save every baby and every mom does that mean the baby is a breach or an arm is bent backwards or. In position or something occurred is hidden somewhere where it shouldn't be or something something is wrong LOL I know what you mean when you say the first time you seen it you're like oh my gosh

    I'm pretty sure you got the money you can make some stalls up for them to have their kids in instead of being in the wind

    • @debbergmann3848
      @debbergmann3848 3 роки тому +1

      Given both options, mine chose to be out in the open. Alpacas and llamas are native to the high Andean Plateau, the Altiplano, where windswept plains are the norm. Livestock may be domesticated, but they are not house pets. Well meaning human interventions, like stalling birthing dams inside, can actually cause stress on the dam and cria.

    And that's why they should be in birthing stalls because it could be too cold

    Nice photos but why not talk to the camera instead of having comments in writing ?

  • @shaeshae5610
    @shaeshae5610 4 роки тому

    So that's why every animal should have their own room when they're birthing it's so they won't reject the child the kid the cab whatever you know I'm saying why you think they put expecting mothers in rooms by themselves stabond she just went through all this damn pain and this is what came out of it but if you got alpacas giving birth at the same time is a possibility that one baby could be rejectedbut that's why every animal no matter what it is should always have its own little Ariel to have their kids babies whatever in

    Also the wind noise was so loud that it was hurting my ears.I had the volume up to hear the animals.
