LHP tend to age better than RHP do and the aspect of his velocity/pitch effectiveness having declined slightly, he has the potential to make some adjustments to his pitching strategy similar to the way CC did when his power started to go down a little bit and IMO LHP tend to do well in Yankee stadium on average it would seem. Also, I think they will be trading Cortes and Stroman. In the case of Cortes, it's extremely irritating that his situation has come down to this since he was a pitcher whose skill sets were legitimately on the rise and then they foolishly mismanaged him in 2022 in regards to the way they utilized him in the rotation or over-utilized him having him work far more innings in a single season than he ever had before in his career and that's when we saw him start to become injury prone.

Snell has been able to barely average roughly 5 innings or just slightly above (5 & a third max.) over the course of his career and he's only contributed a significant amount of innings for the season (180 give or take) twice in his career if I'm not mistaken. This scenario with the Yankee's starters not going as deep as possible innings wise in the majority of their starts has been a chronic problem in recent years and the predictable result is the abuse that has been inflicted upon the bullpen all season long which causes them to be burnt out by the time they get to the playoffs.

If I'm the Yankees I believe I'd rather have Max over Juan. As long as Max stays healthy. Pitching is so hard to find especially good starters..
