My brothers been using this basically his whole life, and ive seen him catch multiple 40 inch snook, 60 pound tarpon, huge redfish, ect. Its a very good combo
I bought the 2500 combo today at sportsman wholesale in Wilmington nc on an end of year sale for $51 amazing price seeming the reel is more than that at Walmart lol.
The Penn pursuit, fierce, and battle are the EXACT same reels. All three of them have the HT 100 drags, and sealed ball bearings. The only difference is that the pursuit has a graphite frame. The fierce has an aluminum frame. And the battle has an aluminum frame with the CNC main gear.

Can it be used off the surface
Great video. Would the 6000 be good for jigging for amberjack?
I haven't use the rod before, but the reel is a tank. I caught salmon, steelhead, lingcod and halibut on it and it's still going strong.

$66 is a good deal! Im sure this thing will last longer than the $60 Shakespeare combos at basspro.
