I wish they would add an element of long, paved road journeys, so that the true highway trucks like the Transtar and CLT had a legitimate use. It would also be an opportunity to give highway tires some love. Like if you had to retrieve a big heavy semi trailer from a remote location, bring it to a road, and then transport it to the other side of the map on a fully or mostly paved road. You could use an off road suited truck to retrieve the trailer, then transfer it to a highway truck for the long journey. I went to the trouble of dragging the Transtar out of the swamp on Smithville, only to find that it's basically unusable, which sucks because I love the looks of it, and the horn. It's a great highway truck; the game just needs some highways.
Thing is, anything these trucks can do can be done easier with any medium truck. The only purpose these trucks have (except the GMC, which becomes a Fleetstar equivalent once you get the AWD for it) is to provide a challenge for masochists.
@@MrKokuen Right now, you're right. But if there were long highway stretches, you could have the dedicated highway trucks set up for highway running. Put UHD III's and a highrange transmission, and you've got the best highway rig you can get. All my Fleetstar and equivalents are set up with UOD II's and off road transmissions. Sure, they're not bad on the road, but dedicated highway trucks would be better. The alternative is you take the Fleetstar to the garage and swap out the parts, which would take more money and time than is worth it.
I honestly don’t mind the International Transtar on some less difficult maps, as long as it has some weight over the rear wheels that is. With RWD like the Ford and International, you definitely want as much weight over those rear wheels as possible for traction, a fuel tanker will usually do the job quite well.
considering how the game is structured the Highway class is quite useless, as the portions of asphalt are very minimal in the maps so, apart from the scouts, the only two really useful classes in the game are the heavy and off-road.
The gmc (starter truck) is the only one capable of AWD. It would be nice to have at least one map where we could use these. I really love the snub nose old Ford on here but damn if I can find a use for her :(
International has 39'' tires. Ford has 43'' tires. GMC has 47'' tires. Having RWD only - that's all you have to consider. Oh and fuel consumption test in this case is useless - show me a path in Snowrunner where you can drive a RWD Ford CLT for 53 minutes.
Looks like you did this test before you found the gmc awd upgrade in the season pass lake kovd map. So even w/o it, it barely wins. With it, it'll dominate. I actually used it in the Canadian maps and it got around really good, I was actually impressed.
I’m just wondering, what exactly is the purpose of the CLT9000 and the Transtar in this game? I also find it interesting that the majority of the North American trucks have no mud tire options.
On one of my play throughs I did like 90% of the Michigan region only using these 3 trucks (prior to the GMC receiving an AWD upgrade). So although they are certainly limited, there is still a fair bit of content that can be enjoyed using the Ford CLT9000 and the International Transtar. But they do have to have off road tires before they are of much use on anything but paved roads.
For the looks ford but the mh9500 has that op 6x6 which is rlly good soo i would go with that if i needed to go trough rlly deep mud or snow and another thing i kinda hate the placement of the snorkel on the gmc it would be better if it would be on the cab but its ok i still love hpw good it is off road for a highway truck
This comparison is useless since you used the diff.lock and AWD on the GMC. No comparison needed to know that a truck with diff.lock and AWD will beat trucks that don´t have that...Also as already stated in the comments the UOD II tires are best in mud. Just because a tire is at the bottom of the list or the most expensive doesn´t mean it is the best tire overall.
@@BabooWik I think only then is the comparison of interest. Diff.lock and AWD against trucks that don´t have that is a no-brainer. It would have been much more of interest to see how the GMC measured against the Ford and the International on even grounds.
@@BabooWik This is late but you completely failed to notice the GMC didn't even have AWD at the time of this test. Actually watch the upgrades being put on and you'll see it wasn't there.
Now that the GMC has all wheel drive, it performs like a beast off-road

With the map editor, it will come. Or, just play American truck.sim...
That sounds like a different game. I don't understand why there are highway trucks or tires In the game

Just get highway haulin modmap, or even better, the full highway haulin pack, they are fun
The mh9500 is my favorite
Same with me with awd it can really be someones favorite
it had a diff lock
Yup, love mine, but AWD, Diff lock and offroads on it...
The MH9500 was my favourite until I got the Brigadier 8000.
@Angelica Quinto no it didnt
gmc has awd wtf? also its funny how the layout of this video is exactly the same as SD1ONE's snowrunner vs videos
Ye but grammar is better, testing is more accurate and the editing is a bit nicer.
He also labels the the sections. If you move that little red dot it will tell you road race and etc.

So basically these three pieces of trash are irrelevant
really friend, I speak and said everything clearly
@@ja9mz663 heavy duty is close to highway trucks but they can be installed with awd/diff lock. versatile and ok offroad performance.
I wish you would have to actually drive to an offroad track and than start to use offroad and heavy trucks. Would be better than bow
I like the way that ford clt looks
2:26 How do you turn on AWD and Difflock on Trucks that have neither AWD nor Difflock?!?
😂
Bro its GMC not GCM
It's all the way thru. It's a typo that's been totally missed. Pmsl .
the GMC has a 6x6 option i know I've been using it since the beginning it would shit all over the other trucks if you had put it on
It was added with the kola peninsula dlc, it wasn't in the game when it launched

i tried looking up how to put it on its a bug that still hasn't been fixed because no one uses it

Love your video seems like you putt a lot of time in to it
I love Ford clt9000
Water crossing - AWD on
Mud pits - struggling because they lack AWD
Wtf
I like the Ford clt it’s a cool truck if it had upgraded, AWD it would be a great truck
Yhe GM now is the best cause it has AWD upgrade, used it to recover the armored vehicles in Kola Peninsula
Don't mind me just coming here to watch the GMC demolish the other two :D
Great Gaming

Most Americans trucks in the game are made for highways because North America is mainly long straight highways
🤷🏻♂️
Gmc has awd for some people
kola peninsula dlc
Ford clt in my favorite truck in the game
Ford and international don't have AWD... You inscribe "all with AWD".
GCM? Really?
Gcm or gmc? Bc u said gcm and btw nice vid i will go with the CLT900 all day baby

Gmc mh9500 number one truck ever in America

GMC MH9500 SX

What is AUTO GEAR ?
Do they have automatics?
Yes, all trucks have automatics (edit: in the game)
at water current translar dnf but at least he didnt falled
I dont care what people say ford is loveky the customzation of like bumbers etc so good yeas its no the best but i love how it looks
Map mod link?
Uodlls are better in mud
The engine sounds in this game are horrible, the idle sounds are ok but everything else about them are pretty bad.
Do a battle of the scouts next
good idea

only gmc has awd and diff lock
