Hello. Our lives do indeed revolve around the seasons. Here in Australia it is finally getting hot. I made new Noren curtains yesterday for our front door screen as it gets very hot there in the afternoon. I had some great fabric my lovely Japanese daughter in law brought me from Japan. After so much rain we had high humidity. So exhausting. Now the early mornings are lovely and the afternoons in our back yard are nice as we get a lovely breeze. We live 300 metres from the bay so it's often not as hot here as the city areas. I save all the little desiccant packets that come with packaging and asian snacks and put them everywhere in my home to combat humidity. They are marvellous. Your evening meal looked really delicious.

I finally brought out the kerosene stove in my area, but the temperature will exceed 20 degrees today and tomorrow😂 The noren curtain is nice and cool. Using a snack desiccant to prevent humidity is also a good idea! I'll try it myself.
The oden looks so tasty! The closest thing in my country is stew or casserole in the slow cooker. You’ve reminded me to get some persimmons now they’re in season! :)
