- We know about Kenpachi Zaraki, Retsu Unohana and some even know about Kenpachi Kiganjo, however very few fans of the series are familiar with the other former Kenpachi members who are mentioned within the Bleach novel series Spirits Are Forever With You. In this video I breakdown and explain everything that we know about the 8th Kenpachi, Soya Azashiro. Talking about his role within the novels, what kind of Kenpachi he was, as well as his insane goal that he has. So join me as I talk about a member of the infamous Kenpachi Lineage, someone not many Bleach fans know anything about.

Not really lol. if you match the timelines it isn't a mess. honestly perfectly balanced.
This guy's bankai is indeed one of the strongest in the entire soul society but he can still be defeated. also there are kido's the counters reishi so if he fought against that he loses.. also he hard loses to literally any Quincy lol. Blut Protects them from physical and internal and they are Reishi destroyers.
The only Power Level mess is Kenpachi Zaraki's cuz he doesn't know his own strength and his reiatsu. like for example Byakuya knows how strong his Reiatsu is and it's limits so he compensates with technique.
Kenpachi Zaraki's power is limitless in a sense his limit is he matches enemy power so if he got one shotted on first interaction he loses lol.
This is also before Blood war this is like when Ichigo lost his powers vs Aizen and is now in Fullbringer arc.
And almost all the captains have broken powers against certain enemies they are trash though. same for this guy. pretty fleshed out character too.
Also Ichigo.. well Ichigo's powerlevel is also somewhat same as Kenpachi that he has insane strength due to being hybrid.

The best part is that these OP Villains literally treat Muken as some sort of Hotel and Dragon Ball's Room of Spirit and Time and not some nigh eternal Prison. Aizen literally was stuck inside it in a year and the dude grew so much powerful he literally able to Swap hands with Soul King Juha Bach.
Soul Society really used to keep making its own enemies a lot. Especially the nobles.
If he held even the slightest desire for revenge, I doubt much of Soul Society would stand a chance for long.

Azashiro was Aizen before Aizen was even a threat
He didn’t plan anything so no…azashiro his own man.
Azashiro being the prideful and powerful individual he is, insulting Aizen on muken while Uro zakuro was trying to convince him to kill Aizen and steal the hogyoku. All of that was genius. Aizen s the most arrogant son of a bitch, but sealed as phuck, he wouldnt do shit if Azashiro wasnt that prideful and went ahead with his zampakuto suggestion. Even kyoka suigetsu wasnt a threat to Azashiro on that moment. Its still so satisfying that moment happened in Bleach s story. I always return to that for the laughs. Love Aizen btw, but still 😂

I'll give u a hint, aizen was sealed as phuck at Muken, Kyoraku wasnt head captain back then, therefore, all Aizen could do if Azashiro, the only Shinigami kyoka suigetsu couldnt fool, have had carried with uro zakuro s suggestion, was die a hopeless death. Not like Aizen isnt powerful enough to withstand severe beating, but sealed by Urahara really put him in a bad spot, at least against high end talented Shinigami level. unsealed Aizen s still the mastermind threat we all love, though. As for Azashiro vs Zaraki, well, reiatsu and the soul reaper s bond with their zampakuto wasnt enough by the time that battle happened, and Azashiro just walked out from that battle, since his plans never included a battle between Kempachis. Zaraki was the stronger, no doubt. But Aizen was helpless in the context i was pointing up there. Get it?

Nothing stated that Aizen can't simply put him back in it but nothing contradicts that either so it's a stalemate there
Also cien who is far stronger than soya used Gabriel and was unable to crush zaraki, (proof of this is cien fighting an unpatched eye kenny and actually going to toe with him though i do applaud the picaro there) aizen's seals don't extinguish his reaitsu they merely restring it besides him
Soya cannot attack Aizen externally neither can he internally
It was so bad he had to use urozakuro to remove the seals rather than do it himself

i feel like azashiro shouldve appeared inside the tybwa as a flash back or show up after the events end and how they time skip 12 years after the ark ends. cause i feel like seeing him face kenpachi animated or even ichigo would be a really interesting fight

Everytime I think about how Yhwach went to Aizen to invite him to join him. Why didn’t he go to other characters like the 8th Kenpachi or other characters that aren’t even discovered yet.

Don't you have to kill the last kenpachi To become the new kenpachi so I don't know how there is more then one kenpachi floating around. Una Hana didn't die till Kenny killed her, or do they just call any squad 11captain kenpachi, because the title kenpachi is for the strongest soul reaper so I feel like they should have been calling head captain Yamamoto kenpachi this whole time he was the strongest and head captain.

So zaraki kenpachi is basically one of the most powerful characyers cause his spiritual pressure is so high but he lowers it in order to fight people, so he has been only ever as strong as his opponents? so the stronger the opponent the stronger he is but the weaker they are the weaker he is?
I never believed that caster abilities like this one are as strong as they seem. Because at the end of the day it’s a battle of reitsu and the higher one wins. Because a higher reitsu and keep your crap spell away from him with pure reitsu

Man aizen would've stood no chance if central 46 and their noble clans weren't such a holes and more wisely resolved internal disputes. Aizen would've been one shot by azashiro before he became immortal. Even most quincy would've been absolutely demolished other than the very strongest who could detect and stop his merging with their bodies.
Literally bankai shunsui, yamamoto, and likely kenpachi could fight him before he became immortal lol. Hence his planning
@@ericb8241 yea except azashiro could neutralise kyoka suigetsu via his large area of effect surveillance ability. Even if aizen tried to deceive him he could just merge with a specific area to know what is not aizen and work by deduction to blast the area that is not merged with himself in order to take aizen out. Kinda like yamamoto doing his flame pillar set up which would've worked if he didn't have the flames swallowed up by modified arrancar except azashiro doesn't need as much set up time and also wouldn't take out all of soul society or gotei due to collateral. He was op af at taking out rebels. Too bad soul society didn't use him well.

Thats more a testament to writing. Like, so much of the new captain level and captains strength comes from personal revelatory Bankai experiences. Back in the day, those exceptional Bankai revelations and battle experience made captains like him and Yamamoto damn near Zero Squad level.

There's a consistent theme throughout these longer Novels huh? That the old ways/government/Central 46 SUCKS. Also I like the render of Shunsui and Kuruyashiki. In an omake it's been shown Shunsui occasionally drinks with *our* Kenpachi too. So that's something that warms my heart if nothing else.
Isn't that procedure mentioned just called a Lobotomy? Somehow Azashiro's goal seems more scary especially because no one even realized. Like it's actually something to race against time to prevent someone from being able to accomplish on an massive scale. Sure Yhwach's goal was similar or arguably worse, but can you tell me someone fusing different worlds/realms/universes together causing a spatial collapse or worse is something we can actually expect in our world? I'd say not. While we as readers can be made to understand the impact I don't think it ever clicks in our heads it's ever a real possibility because as of current it isn't. Though I wonder if someone becomes a Plus do they keep their disabilities physical or mental? If so his whole plan of preventing Hollows would be pointless. Besides that though I have lots of praise to give.
Somehow this man is better than Aizen in several ways, being admitted as so by the man himself and even Squad Zero actually about to drop down to take him out. Aizen meanwhile was going to challenge people in a space he might not have even been able to reach.
It's even more interesting when you consider the matchups. As noted here someone like Yumichika could absolutely counter Azashiro's biggest defense which kinda feeds back into a consistent theme of the Kenpachis holding themselves back for some reason or another as at this point Yumichika might've not fully gotten over his fear of coming out of the closet. As a Kido user. He'd be the best shot at beating Azashiro otherwise *AS HE SHOULD.* Also any Quincy that can take in Reishi like Uryu. I'm assuming for all these though your Reiatsu would have to scale but you never know.
If you think about it though it's kinda cool that Azashiro's Zanpakuto is basically also a Domain Expansion before that was even invented. Which I've come to see as "Manifesting or Bringing other's into your Inner World." Even though I think Bleach's has more nuance with what makes it so cool to me is it being tied to both a Zanpakuto Spirit *and* the user but it's still cool in JJK.
Now the entire thing with Narita picking up on Kenpachi's secret- *THIS RIGHT HERE-* is why I never want to hear again any question of the Novels being Canon be it for Kubo not having enough influence or anything! This man even if he was the sole writer with no help was chosen by Kubo for a reason, why is that not enough for people? I've noted it at least once before but this is the same author as Durarara, and for those familiar with the anime it's actually a Light Novel. (An anime which I think is really good and the best character IMO has Ichigo's English VA in addition.) So the man has writing "feats" per se.
Now of course I want you to do more Novel characters. But. *But-* If you or any other reader/viewer liked Azashiro's whole story and Arc... *The Zanpakuto Rebellion Arc's Muramasa and Koga Kuchiki follow some similar aspects with an arguably sadder outcome...*
The seireitei in general and it's politics has always been shown to be highly morally bankrupt or questionable at least.
I feel like Yumichika is kinda a victim of the example set by both zaraki and the kenpachi immediatly before him. Both are brutal, thugish, savage killers, and as a result their divisions shapped around that. While we have been shown that kuriyashiki and unohana had more complete skillsets, the environment created through these two in particular made the division more unidimensional than it needs to be(they have always been a combat division, but originally the motto of someone like unohana would be to fight using whatever means necessary, hence why she learned healing to fight longer, even though her fighting in itself doesn't pull punches, while the division eventually over specialized in direct combat abilities
Narita is also a writter for the fate franchise and his work there is no less good either. In general I think it's a very poor attitude to ignore side content/adaptations, because more often than not the original writter has input in it, if not outright doing it themselves. While industry constraints are not to be ignored, I don't think there are many writters successful enough to have such works based on their own and not care about it.
I believe a Lobotomy is a simpler mor straight forward procedure which would leave someone disabled and unable to feel anything really, rather than removing specific aspects of one’s personality.

Enjoy the information of the videos, some constructive criticism though is showing clips of totally different and unrelated animes I'm not a fan of at all, I get in some cases, such as content of the lore in this video, you have lack of footage, I still think you are better off showing fan art of the subject or just repeating the visuals you have of the subject. Having clips from Avatar and one piece seems... not good to those that recognize and for newer fans that dont know better can be detrimental in some way (give them wrong idea or feel of actual source?)
Again, other than clips from unrelated material the content is fantastic!

Suddenly he's out and about causing trouble in the time skip before fullbring arc. So I was mainly confused with when Azashiro story was set in time. I thought when Azashiro was in muken as well, Aizen was either lieutenant or before Aizen was in Gotei 13.
The most overpowered broken bankai has not been seen yet.

That is extremely debatable dude, we have no idea what the SK had originally intended, he slaughtered a shit ton of Hollows because he found them a direct danger towards humans or whatever it was he was protecting, it's only when the nobles felt the imbalance that they began to talk to him, however his intentions were never made clear and he simply gave himself up for their plans and that's basically how it went according to Ichibe. If the SK did want to rule the world or completely eradicate hollows he would do so with a simple thought, Ichibe even makes it clear that it's baffling why someone who had every means to do practically anything without a single obstacle, surrendered to a bunch of insects who wished to enslave him due to their fear of his existence alone, it doesn't make sense to him why he surrendered.

The kenpachi he beat, his bankai devours anything and everything within space, it's a hard counter for azashiro. Azashiro admits he would have lost if that kenpachi went bankai from get go. He was also offered division 0 seat

Holy shit the fact that he did that at the end is crazy to me. The idea of him and Aizen having those conversations is so fascinating and makes me wonder what other beings are possibly in Muken. If he ever returns he would be one of the most powerful characters depending on how he changes through his training.

To think even years after the Bleach manga has ended there's still this much substance to take in from this series. This character seems sick and I would love to see him in the anime or at least an official translation of the original novel.

Tite kubo is very passionate about his creation. And has kept writing characters, powers, looks, and stories. A lot of them are for the mobile game bleach: brave souls. I’ve been playing it for near 7 years now.edit: I wrote this before seeing the bud, but roughly 5:05 into the video there’s footage from bleach brave souls lol

I find it interesting that at the end of this novel Azashiro remains alive. I’ve been feeling that if Bleach continues into the ‘Hell Arc’, the Soul Society has become pretty underpowered following the end of the thousand year blood war. An Azashiro who has been training for what his spirit perceives as thousands of years would be an asset of unfathomable proportions. On the other side tho is scary, because to write a story with protagonists like him, Zaraki, Ichigo, and even potentially Ichigo’s son depending on the abilities he grows with, we would need and even more insurmountable threat than even Ywach.
Speaking of people training secretly, from CFYOW there's a red haired shinigami who has been training in a forest in Heuco Mondo for thousands of years. Bleach still has so many interesting characters to reveal

Keep in mind the official bleach-anime website has been licensed for 10 years. There's definitely a strong possibility we'll get the novels animated as well as the new hell arc animated.
Based on Studio Pierrot's past with Bleach, they adapted between 1 to 2 chapters per episode. TYBW was 206 chapters in total, cut short due to Kubo's torn shoulder, meaning it could be extended. If we were to bump it up to 208 that would give us 8 seasons of 26 episodes each, if they were to adapt each chapter into its own episode. 1 season per year brings us to 8 years, 1 year for SAFWY, and the last for CFYW. At that point it would really be up to Kubo if he wanted to keep writing Bleach, finishing the hell arc. At that point they'd decide if there was enough excitement for Bleach again to renew the license on the site again.

@@sukuna716 I remember hearing something about that, was it confirmed confirmed? It only makes sense, the big 3 are long running series, not seasonals. It really depends on how Pierrot feels tbh. I trust them, they know how important Bleach is and if the fk it up everyone will remember.
Oh btw I think it's far more likely the light novels end up as ova/films rather than an extra season. Similar to BtW, except with much more content.

I find it idiotic & bad writing that Kenpachi has internal organs that cant be damaged/destroyed.
A part of the body that literally cant be strengthened somehow immune to an attack NOBODY has ever experienced is ridiculous.

Damn, Azashiro was an interesting character but what's even crazier is that Kenpachi Zaraki defeated him in base while being Restricted. And Yoruichi compared Azashiro to Aizen. Goes to show how OP Zaraki is.

I mean Kenpachi wasn't "restricted", we don't know that. We know that Kenpachi restricts himself to enjoy the battle, but we don't know if he did so against Azashiro. Also saying in base, is just weird because the CFYOW novels take place before the TYBW arc so naturally he wouldn't have his bankai.
But Azashiro himself stopped fighting Kenpachi seriously. He used his shikai as opposed to his bankai to fight kenpachi.
