Murray made 3 slam finals in a row in the big 3 era and people dare to say he’s on the same level as Warinka 😅😅😅
murray no where near as dangerous as wawrinka, please...
@@jamesyelton11 Murray no where near Wawrinka ,what kind of drugs are you on ??
Murray vs Wawrinka
Titles 46> 16
Slams 3=3
Masters 1000 14 > 1
Atp finals 1 > 0
Slam finals 11 > 4
Highest ranking no.1 > no.3
Don’t get me wrong i dont really like Murray and i like Stan but facts are facts , Murray has 3 times more titles than Stan and 13 more masters and he got all those titles in the big 3 era 😅😅😅😅
@@ValentinG23what’s Murray Waw h2h?
@@jamesyelton1111 finals and won 3, the Australian open was the one , so unlucky to come up against Novak in most of the Australian final and overall finals against him french open final lost to him, but Wimbledon and us open beat him in finals
Murray did well but Stan remembered as someone stylistically who troubled Novak on hard courts and clay. Something Murray couldn’t do. Peak Stan was a handful for the big 3, where as Murray for all his successes, choked more against Novak in particular
Murray + Lendl = Success
Federer is poetry, artistry, and magic.
And 40-15
40-15 three times actually against Djokovic in 2010, 2011, and 2019. So what? These were all monumental battles between two incredible champions, which could have gone either way. If you know tennis, you should appreciate both of them (as well as Nadal of course).
Quite funny to see some dirty tactics used by the Big 3 to throw their opponents away. Shouting at the net to put pressure 2 points away from the match here in the 4th set, Djoko eternal bouncing to tire the opponent or his infamous toilet breaks, Nadal convoking a youngster at the net to tell him to shout less (coming from him, really?!) or taking sooooo long before serving...
Good games but not so classy and clean behaviors at time...
I remember this was the first time I'd seen Federer unable to get effortless winners from his forehand. It was truly shocking: and I thought he was going to retire 😂
Although he lost, one can’t help but marvel at the skill of Federer
Super match! Insane rallies!
Murray’s best match ever
35:51 Federer 😂
тяжело смотреть зная, что Роджер не выиграл..
Tough to see Roger got pushed around because of his weak backhand back then with that 90 sq’inch PS racquet
Loss of strength? Age?
Back injury. He demolished murray year later
I think this tournament was the reason Federer's 2013 season was in shambles. He was aiming to get that No. 1 ranking back from Djokovic. Wawrinka nearly gave it back to Federer during their epic match in the 4th Round.
He was clearly overpowered by Murray here and could not do anything.
He didn't rested at the end of 2012 because of the exhibitions, which caused his back pain later on.
The reason for his horrible 2013 season was his persistent back issues.
I remember this well. Murray won OG and then his first major less than 6 months before. It felt different to before. Even though it was 3-2, it was only fed’s greatness that made the score look tight. In reality federer was fighting to stay in the match the whole time. Also Murray’s serve became a huge weapon in this period whereas it’s never been a strength of his.
I fully expected him to beat djokovic in the final which sounds crazy to say these days.
I never would’ve guessed Murray hit 20 aces to Federer’s 5
This match shows that Murray really is an underrated player of this golden era thanks to the big 3. Also a majority of people forget that Djokovic prevailed against Murray in the 2012 AO semi which was a marathon 5 setter almost as brutal as the 2012 AO final between Djoker and Rafa. Your expectation that Murray was gonna beat Djokovic in the 2013 AO final back then makes a whole lot of sense because Murray had been actually playing so well against Djoker since the 2012 season started, especially beating him at the olympics and the US open final.
@@SJ-di5zu Murray was a menace in late 2000s to 2017. He even had a winning h2h against Federer until like Cincinnati Masters 2014.
Federer's forehand hitting took a real dip in quality in 2013.
Roger's everything took a real dip in quality in 2013
Was it that or an injury? Don't quite understand his torrid 2013 as his 2012 was pretty good.
@@incredibleXManhe had serious backpain in most of 2013, he has suffered much in his career with this but didn't speak of it
Yep, it was the back. It affected his movement. You can see it when he moves out wide to his forehand. That was also the year he started to experiment with a new frame.
The excuses from Federer and his fans certainly didn't take a dip.
2013 was Federer's worst season that doesn't mean he played every match bad....here he played really well....but he was out of gas at 5 th set....and Murray player aggressive tennis i whole tournament
2013 was his worst cause of the injury attained at IW. He was fine here
He didn't play well at all, he was barely able to capitalize in the two tiebreaks due to Murray lack of decision to close both sets out. Take a look at the number UE Federer made, atrocious.
@@MrTonyMartinoAnd just 5 aces the whole 5 sets which is hugely underwhelming to Federer's stds.
@@arvindkugan9667 Which says a lot about how well Murray was returning.
In 2010-16, it was always Big 4...
Apart from when Stan turned up.
awesome stroke making. i had forgotten how good prime Murray was.
He still has great shot making but for some reason isn't that aggressive anymore even though he clearly has the physical ability to be
@@15Stratos For some reason? LOL, He has metal on his hip.
@@speedymr and he has visibly surpassed the problem(at least mostly),this is the fittest he's been since 2016
@@15Stratosdon’t think you can ever surpass a metal rod in your body
@@kevinsampson9217 Not completely but this is the fastest and fittest i've seen him be since 2016
Really feel sad at times thinking how unlucky Murray has been at winning AO in particular
There is nothing "unlucky". Murray hadn't enough quality to beat his rivals. He played really well in Australia, but Novak (and Federer) were simply better and superior, especially Novak.
@@stefansavic3459 Worst thing about Nole is the arrogance of his fanbase.
@@WilfredZweverinkThere is no arrogance in saying that nole is a better player than murray.
That's like saying federer and nadal fans are arrogant when they say they are better than murray.
It's funny how fedal fanbase can talk shit about any other players, but the same shouldn't be reciprocated.
It was well done for Fed to even get to the semifinals in 2013 here. He was in poor physical shape (which was developing since Wimbledon 2012 and even more so after US Open 2012) and consequently poor form. Tsonga probably should've finished him off in the quarter-finals but missed his opportunities which Fed took due to experience. Then Fed had to fight hard to give himself a chance in the semis against a fresh in-form Murray (who had a favourable draw and didn't drop a set coming into the semis), but not to be. Great effort though, definitely should've lost in 4 sets but got lucky and extended into a fifth but by then he was cooked. And I can't help but think that exertion of effort with his back problems affected the remainder of 2013.
One of the best matches I ever watched live. Murray's backhand was murderous that day, not to mention the clean return winners off Federer's serve. Roger managed to somehow squeeze it into a 5th set, but Murray was too relentless for him throughout the whole match.
Federer was under extreme pressure almost every rally, on a different day Murray would have won that in 3 sets. Sadly I think the 5 sets took a little too much out of Andy for the final.
Because of injuries federer couldnt play well for 4 years
I remember being convinced Murray would beat Djokovic after this. Then there was that ominous feather in the final which seemed to completely change the direction of that match
what?
I wouldve much rathered seen Federer in the final than Murray here as he made the final rather unexciting despite how it started out and yeah hes just plain boring against Djokovic. The same poi t over and over which he ends up losing ver predictable. Federer final even though he loses wouldve been much more exciting we know that much especially give his level here couldve at last challenged djokovic and produced some really cool points. I mean really he couldnt beat murray here uggh but does the next year like its nothing. Actually the next 5 matches like its nothing.
good performance Andy. He shouldve changed the play style earlier. He could win more, Hed played too conservatively in his early career period. very glad to see a different Murry, a aggressive Murry. very enjoyable.
Odd that this was the last time Murray beat Federer
Correct me if im wrong, was this the only time murray beat federer in a grandslam? And was this the last ever win he got against him? I feel like murray only won 1 more set in the rest of their meetings after this (AO2014).
So what did Roger say to Murray at the net in the 4th set?
Please .Stop it.
Please .Stop it.
"You fucking stopped it", as Murray stared at the mark, but didn't stop the rally and won the point afterwards.
there is no stop@@thebrave354
Top 5 greatest ever. If it wasn’t for the 3 goats andy would of had 10+ slams easy.
Over the next 5 years, one of these players will win 2 Australian Opens…
40:30 the famous words from Roger to Andy "fucking Scottish". And you can see Andy's reaction hearing that, just after his forehand passing shot.
Wow, did he really say this ?
No.@@Fedthebest75
lol what? Where'd you get THAT?? Sounds totally out of character. I assumed it was something cutting like "Do you only have baseline shots?"
jereososa how do you know this?
Dude don't edit Out the good drama of federer getting mad and talking trash to Murray dumb move
it’s in the video bud
What happened
SF of one of the Grand Slam tournaments? Federer has no need to feel bad. And he already was a proud owner of 4 Aus Open Championship trophies before this match ugh
2013 to 2016, Fed never won G.S.
Ironically the last time Murray would beat Federer
The last time Andy would ever beat Roger!
Murray’s backhand is so good 😊
when he was in his prime, his backhand was as good as Nole's
@@YdmasterHis backhand, serve and coverage might have been even better, but his forehand and shot selection is average
Retrospecte Cebracione Global Astros Gloabal 😊😊😊😊
Funny that it was ONLY Murray's win over Federer in Grand Slam.
Man Murray really should have won this AO. Played so well until Djoko.
He played well in the final, it’s just that Novak in the AO is a different animal. Murray was playing so well that he managed to take a set.
@@tolendoi123 He always chickened out against the big 3 in those finals.
He had 10 GS final against fed/Djok and won 2 vs Djokovic. Slightly disappointing but not that weird. Let’s hear what your record against 2 of the GOATs in GS final is.
@@masters.1000 He' just not as good. Still way above Roddick and the likes of Gaudio though.
@tolendoi123 In the second set he had a 40-0 in djokovic's serve, he could have taken that set and would have 2 sets to love lead. I don't say that he would win, but he would be 1 set away from this title and would have a big advantage.
Murray is an underachiever, he should have won more. Without injuries he could have won more Wimbledon titles, maybe one or two US Open titles after 2017.
Murray surprised me. Always had the tools, but choked in the past.
Side note...Anyone else think "Hannibal Lecter" when the 2nd commentator came on?
2013 was the worst year for Roger. I wish he never played a single match in a Grandslam that year.
Is that a Barbie vs Oppenheimer reference again? 😛
When you watch matches like this, you realise how insane it is that Murray only won 3 slams, and by extension just how absurdly good Federer, Nadal and Djokovic really were. Unbelievable athletes, all of them!
This is Prime Andy Murray
40:31 what did Roger said to Andy?
Pretty sure he said you fucking stopped
Es impresionante que por esos años ver a federer, nadal, Djokovic y Murray eran partidos que casi siempre se daban en semifinales y el nivel que tenían era demasiado parejo
All staged.
Federer is not playing bad still not able to control the game.
Fantastik game. Well done Andy❣️
Such a great match from Roger (until the fifth) after struggling so much against Tsonga (although Tsonga hit the ball much harder than Murray)
Andy surely deserved at least one Australian Open title...
Federer at his best!!! Until he ran out of fuel in the 5th set 😭
Prime Murray defeated Roger on Olympic and defeated Novak on two grand slam finals .
Best ?
This is Federer’s worst year on tour mate
@@abanoubmilad5645 i meant this match….after this one yeah he started to play really bad (Indian wells vs djokovic was the last one he played well) to the point he was getting really embarrassed (Nadal many times)
I think you’re confusing years - Federer didn’t play Djokovic in Indian wells in 2013 (he did in 2014 and 2015). I agree this should be looked on as a great tournament for him. You have to give credit to Murray, and Federer of course was still recovering from his 5 set epic with Tsonga.
@@abanoubmilad5645 what? Because of his IW injury, this is before that injury. Do you even know tennis?
Murray's best match on hards I have seen
Federrer❤❤❤
Andrew Murray : 21 aces, Roger Federer : 5 aces
It was in the Quarter final match aganist Tsonga Roger developed backpain and started wearing protective back support, which he never wore before and after this match. This is the reason he had a extremely poor 2013 season, and in this match he lost for the first time to Murray in a grand slam match.
Murray prime destroyed roger
@@Sai-lk9he lol what
He had back problems since 2012. That's why he skipped Paris in 2012.
Murray's best tournament. A pity he had that leg injury in the finals.
Typical fed fanboys never giving any credit to the opponent always the same bs excuses. 2008 was mono. 2010 was mono again 2011 (he is 30) 2013 it’s all back pain. Give it a break bro fed isn’t even close to Novak
@@alecmorariu6291if he's not close to Novak then it was pretty poor of Novak to lose 23 times to him and 6 times in slams lol
what did Federer say to Murray at the end ?
Federer couldn’t move
Please run Roger loooool😆🤣🤣
Beautiful.
I'm a fan of Federer I think he's the goat, but for all I remember this was the best match of Murray's career
But he is not GOAT 🐐
Uhh, I think that’s almost disrespectful to Murray. He has put up some incredible performances, including ones where he has beaten the prime big 3 easily. In fact it felt like Murray controlled this match from top to bottom and could’ve won it easier
@@SJ-di5zu see Murray vs Nalbandian Paris 2008... or Federer vs Murray AO 2010... why disrespectful?
I think some players are geniuses, like Federer or Nalbandian. When they are good and you still manage to beat them, it is a huge achievement. A proof of overcoming.
Fedtard everywhere, showing disrespect to any player they can to flatter Fed.
if u think he is the goat, its based on FEEELINGS and not numbers..novaks numbers are superior in ALMOST EVERY REGARD

@@KunnuITF oh yes please, but i swear rg copyright very hard

Fun fact, this was the last time andy murray defeated roger in a grandslam match
How often have they played after this match?
@@arthurvanderkooij5456 in fact i think this is the last time murray beat federer period
5 times after this match, all in 2014-15
@@johnnicholls5788 yes federer beat murray quite handily in all of them too
1st and only time Murray beat RF in a grand slam match. The only time he beat RF in best of 5 was at the olympics although fed had played 4 hours the day before. As soon as RF moved to a larger racquet face he never lost again to Murray.
I was fortunate enough to watch his match against Andy live at the world tour finals in 2014 6-0 6-1 Federer in like 49 minutes was beautiful
Then Djoko made it look easy in the final😂
