If there's ever a situation where they have 2 or even 3 out... if you condemn one, no matter whether it's at 2/2 or 13/13, the healing is going to kill the other ones - or better yet you condemn something else and kill the death shadows with it. :P

Itachi21x probably an issue with the duplicated ability. The code probably wasn't ready for that to happen. Similiar thing happened when merfolk trickster released. Targeting a tarmogoyf with merfolk trickster auto killed it for like a week before it was fixed.

I have been looking at this great creation and i honestly love naban combos and i have a wizard/merfolk (which also runs Naban) deck that i intend to upgrade. and splashing white for reflector and restoration angel is pretty damn cool. Path to exile is obviously perfect aswell! However after playing with my previous naban deck i feel that he is a magnet for early removal and therefore often doesnt get any value off. So i was considering putting some Wizard's Retort in the deck, possibly spell pierce aswell seeing as how effective it is in modern fx. to spell pierce a vial on turn 1/2 (Best feeling in the world btw :D). Which creatures would you consider cutting from the list to make room for some spells such as counters or possibly card draw spells like char a course etc?

(I know that probably defeats 'budget') You lose the natural synergy with Naban but gain a really strong creature that is hard to deal with.
Because he isn't very good at playing trickster at all. I mean in the last game he should have waited for attacks from resto and flicker and tickersted them to lose flying so he can block and kill them but RIP I guess.

According to a post on reddit there is still a bug (that has been in the game for literally months... nice going wotc) where if you play 2 reflector mages in the same turn the target of the first one can be played normally. I assume this is also caused when you have multiple reflector mage triggers
Ideally it would just work right :( Unsure what the bug is, maybe it has to do with Naban + Reflector Mage (since Reflector Mage seemed to work right the rest of the time).
That G1 Humans salty scoop was great! They pretty much cheated by replaying that Mettling Mage fully knowing they werent supposed to as they play Reflectors as well and know exactly what the effect is.
Great deck Seth. I see that Naban is becoming your new favorite card as panharmonicon rotates out of standard. The only thing I would advise is the Mana base is bit weird. I would suggest 4 copies of glacial fortress, 3 port town, and 2 prairie stream and add 1 island and 1 plains for more manabase consistency..I noticed the deck had a lot of tap lands which isn't good in modern

Hey Seth, I have this weird goal to find the coolest interaction with Arcane Adaptation. So I have already used Scion of the Ur Dragon with Adaptation on dragon to find a Serra's Avatar or a Blightsteel Colossus and kill my opponent with infect or commander damage but this deck makes me think: what are the best ETB effects that could be doubled with Naban? I'm sure there is SOME way to go infinite. I know you like Panharmonicon so I hope that you've considered this sort of thing. But is there anything cool that you can think of that Naban plus arcane adaptation on wizard can do that panharmonicon cannot?
Hmm, I'll have to think about it. You can obviously make a lot of value if you can use any enters the battlefield trigger, and some combos (with things like Felidar Guardian or Restoration Angel), but it might just be better to play Panharmonicon itself rather than Naban + Arcade Adaption to make a Panharmonicon.
Kogan Naban's only advantages over Panharmonicon are its casting cost and the fact it can attack, its ability is more limited, only wizards and only ones you control.
Reflector Mage says you can't cast that card next turn. Vial doesn't cast. Edit: Nevermind. I didn't see that he didn't play it with vial, but cast it normally.
Frustrating to see opponents replaying creatures bounced with Reflector Mage the very next turn... I think that would have made a difference in some cases

Yeah, the initial plan was to bounce Blinkmoth and Smasher, but then the opponent drew another Blinkmoth (so they could pump one of the attacking Blinkmoths to two power) so we would be straight up dead if we didn't bounce both Blinkmoths.
I woke up in a cold sweat thinking this exact deck needs familiars ruse to reuse etb triggers and efficiently hard counter. The synergies 👌👌👌 were amazing And then I watched gameplay and was like ah this doesn’t even play counterspells it’s too aggressive and I’m so disappointed
Yeah, since Meddling Mage says "as" it enters the battlefield instead of "when" it enters the battlefield it isn't actually a triggered ability so it doesn't double up with Naban.

venser can bounce reality smasher. Smasher only says SPELLS.
But then we die to the Blinkmoths (since the third Blinkmoth can pump one of the other ones to two power).
Could he have bounced Chalice and an attacker with Venser, then been free to path another attacker in game 1 vs eldrazi? Am I missing something?

More basics could help. We did have some games where we were tapland flooded.
The Reflector Mage bug that allows your opponent to cast spells that it has bounced the turn before really affected you in that D&T match.

I don’t expect to see Naban living for a full turn very often.
The first one dies a lot, in the the late game we can often play it and play something else right away to get value though.

No, mage doesn't have a triggered ability.
