I love this! I am a MASSIVE Cobra fan. I am completely fascinated with the timing and set of the film. This shot of his apartment is priceless! Love his apartment scenes in the film. So good
Did you hear about the apparent wealth of unused footage that would have made the movie far more violent and dark? Apparently there was at least an hours worth of other scenes that were cut. It's supposed to be on some old reel somewhere, but in very low quality. Sounds like urban legend, but man I'd have loved to see what they wanted to do with it. If you're interested put this into the search bar of UA-cam "Cobra (1986) - Deleted Scenes (Info, Pictures and Clips)" Man, what I would do to see the original... 😞

I heard the original cobra movie was supposed to be over 2 hours long but was then shortened. Maybe one day they'll give us the true full length cobra movie?

I heard that too. There is a youtube video somewhere that talks about the editing process the movie went through. It was originally way longer, and much more dark and violent. I'd give my right arm to see that version. Put this in UA-cam search if you're interested: Cobra (1986) - Deleted Scenes (Info, Pictures and Clips)
They cut the scene with the final fight in the warehouse when Cobretti hangs his opponent on the hook. And of course they've deleted Cobretti's "revenge" at the end of the movie on Rafferty that was accusing Cobretti of being wrong and using "too much " violence...
If i didn't watch the news i would have not known about. The 2008/2009 economic recession nor the Syrian civil war,Donald Trump's presidency,Covid-19 and Russia's invasion of Ukraina Europe's biggest conflict since the disintegration of Yugoslavia. If i didn't watch the news all of that would have gone unnoticed by.me. This ambience is what that would sound like.
