- Don't (ONLY) come to Winslow Arizona to stand on the corner!! This small little town has been visited by millions of people who flock to the street corner to grab a selfie just to say they were "standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona" which is a famous line from the world famous "Eagles" song titled "Take It Easy". The town has spent time and money to make this street corner more of a fun tourist stop along America's original Mother Road "Route 66". In this video I visit this iconic spot to mark it off my bucket list only to figure out it took hours to drive to Winslow only to stand stand on the corner and grab a selfie which took less than one minute!! I would highly recommend not wasting your time!! UNLESS you also visit "La Posada Hotel" to see the world famous quirky art work displayed on the walls and stroll through the hallways to look at all the antique furniture and one of a kind art displays. And dont forget the gift shop!! Also make sure you stop at McHood Park which is 5 miles south of town to see "in my opinion" the real jewel of Winslow, Arizona!! This park has "Clear creek" flowing through it with spectacular slot canyon rock formations which has been said resemble the rock cliffs at Lake Powel!!! Only on a smaller scale. So don't just come here to only to stand on the corner, come here to see all the amazing art work, the family owned restaurants and bars, the delicious "Winslow Coffee Roasting Co" to grab a tasty cup of coffee or tea, stop and see all the exciting train history here, visit the one of a kind "McHood Park", and dozens of other equally selfie worthy spots like the "Whispering giant"

La Posada is amazing! It’s on the national historic register-sign posted by entrance! Walk the halls and check out the architecture and the courtyard gardens. Have a drink in the cozy bar. Eat at the restaurant in town kitty corner from standin on the corner. Amazing blackened salmon salad.

The La Posada Hotel is a restored Harvey House, not many of them left 🌵 Glad to see Arizona has embraced the heritage of a bygone era when the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway ran the Super Chief through Winslow, AZ. I've been on Amtrak's version the "Southwest Chief", not quite as glamorous as the Super Chief which was also known as the "Train of the Stars" but still a very enjoyable ride if you're into trains that is 👊🏻 Another fact, the restaurant at the La Posada is rated as one of the top 3 in the United States 👍🏼

When we moved from Las Vegas to Winchester Virginia we drove across the US. The first night we stayed in a motel in Winslow Arizona. Wasn't a fancy motel but I did stand on the corner in Winslow Arizona lol😂

Lantern and beer feel, went to save the beer first...lol Just a tip. If you coat the meat in flour it will help with making a gravy and then it will be more hearty. Just a thought.

I can't believe I missed your video until now. We went through Winslow on the way to California but didn't know about the statue until later- knew the song through 👍 Gosh I'm sorry you knocked the lamp over and killed your beer. That happened so fast I had to watch again, glad all was well and you had another beer. I laughed at your catch and cook idea. You're like me- no catch no cook. I used to be good at fishing but guess I lost the touch. Yes we would enjoy a live sometime. Give us all a heads up so I can hopefully have everything done and can sit down with everyone. Good evening from Godley Texas, currently at Cleburne State Park for the week. Stew looked good even with the missing ingredients. I agree sleeping in cooler temps is the way to go. What a treat to go to Winslow and stand on THAT famous corner! 😊I've actually stayed at the LaPolama resort about 15ish years ago and did NOT care for it! I was with my staff and our boss arranged for us all to do a 3-day out of the office strategic planning retreat there! Thank God I shared a room with a co-worker/friend because that place is haunted! We both heard things and we heard the next day from other staff as well that they both heard and saw 'things'! Needless to say, we left after two days! I will NEVER go to that hotel again, no matter how 'swanky' and nostalgic it may appear. The paintings were also pretty creepy. That beef stew looked amazing, I could practically smell it! 😊Next you must try to add a tablespoon of 'Better Than Boullion' with the beef tastes. It adds SO much flavor to stews and other beef dishes. I'm watching in early Jan. 2024, so Happy New Year!

Your beef stew looked amazing and you cooked it right by doing the meat first for a while. I always cook the meat for 2 hours first. That little bit of tomato paste just adds a ton of flavor to it 😉❤️ Great video 😊 A little tip, sprinkle some baking soda on stuck on food in your pot and a little hot water. Let it sit a short while and watch how easy it cleans up. Ok, God bless you!

Swimbaits, Senkos, and drop shots work well at most of Arizona's state park lakes. If you're fishing stained or dirty water, a small red crankbait fished tight to the bank or cover feature can be dynamite! Hope it helps I have no idea what it means lol! Love Mason! He is so cute! Have a great week!

I live vicariously through channels like his any now yours. Because of age and health, I am unable to get out anymore. I love Tuesdays because you both put out new videos that day. Another enjoyable video! I have stood on the same corner in Winslow but unfortunately I missed visiting the park. As for the fishing, I believe the companies design the lures to catch fishermen instead of fish!
