If you’re looking at it as one vs. the other in period, yes. But if you’re looking to buy an older sports car I would certainly think they would be comparable in terms of fun and ability.
Its definitely not better than an mgb infact theres a whole lot of classic cars not better than an mgb or gt but familiarity breeds contempt and its a victim of its own success but in my opinion the mgb is one of the most practical, agreeable, pretty and iconic cars ever made
Actually gave some appetite for this early TR range 🥲 Good Vid 👍
No synchromesh on 1st gear is not an issue, shouldn't be selecting 1st unless the car is stopped anyway.
Engine sounds good.
Gorgeous little car. I do prefer the TR4 and TR6 though.
Wouldn't a TR2 compete against a MGA? Or even the T series MGs?

I think as an MG owner that the TR and 3 were better cars than the TD and TF. However the MGA was a very worthy competitor.
@@robertdavidson3090 MGAs were very pretty cars. But a hundreds of miles long trip was painful for me, even at 19 years old.

The sound of the B is completely unique too. I agree the B is one of the most iconic British cars.
