Ermygersh!!! We were totally there at the same time! (6th - 8th tho…) I have to admit I’m still kind of emotional. We had so much fun and peace there. Anyways, for next time: there is a trail behind the golden west visitor center. It’s called the “imus” loop. If you go up to the first bridge, there is a little path that goes back into the vegetation and you can see the very peaceful imus falls. Then, if you go all the way up to the end of the road, you can see the glorious car wash falls! (That being said tho, you do have to make a bit of a sketchy step over a giant gouge that got pounded into the rock by a flash flood to get there.) in my opinion? Best place to cool off in some water. Just standing under those falls. The water isn’t frigid and the falls themselves are just beautiful. Thank you for sharing this video.
