There are so many talented First Nations singers and songwriters out there. It is time they get there recognition, many from the plains in Canada as well. This man's music stirs the spirit - many blessingso to you Jim Boyd. You are in my prayers for recognition everywhere for your absolutely beautiful songs. Everyone listen to other songs from him as well, like Father and Farther.
I had a chance to see him in concert in the mid 90's and his music really touched my soul and heart.
I sure miss my cousin Jim, You are with us as the sun rises every morning, and as the sunsets every evening.
My son's dad Monte was working at N. Idaho college and asked Jim and his band to play on stage at the college in N. Idaho.. beautiful concert!!

I taught school at Inchelium for the 1978-79 school year. It was one of the most powerful times of my life. Thank you for sharing this song and the memorable photography. Thanks also to the people of Inchelium and especially Doll Watt.

Hits me every time deep down. I feel this song in my soul. I tell people all the time. That when I left my home town of Inchelium I felt I was missing a part of me and couldn't understand the feelings I was having. Then I moved back home to Inch and I found me . I was waiting for me to return. I am whole again. I needed to be with my people not in the city or anywhere else. I'm supposed to be here in Inchelium. RIP Jim. And thank you for all the good you spread with your music. True warrior you were.

Momma born 1956 walked trail of tears saw one of my favorite artists from Florence academy of art there. Allowed me to talk to a real Native American woman on Rez and learn you can’t share your secrets because they were taken by white men. Praying generations healing and people come together!! Don’t see many artists pop or rap .
i’ve only met him a few times when i was younger, but he genuinely seems like a cool guy. i wish i could’ve heard him sing in person.
