Great video! I also got mine on eBay for $20. I am very happy with it. The wireless capability is very good and the turbo buttons make some games more fun and less wear and tear on your controller.
Thanks for actually showing some footage of it in use. My first thought was that it would stop responding every few seconds or something, crazy they were able to make something like that back in the late 80's early 90's
Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm really glad it helped someone. I was really self conscious about it ever since I posted it because I'm a terrible speaker and I didn't collect my thoughts well. Haha! Maybe I'll do more reviews later on!
Hey, one day. I would love to see a speedrun of Athletic World, Stadium Events, Super Team Games, World Class Track Meet, Dance Aerobics, Street Cop, and Short Order/Eggsplode! played completely on the NES Satellite 4-player multitap with the Power Pad on controller #2.
Hey, one day. I would love to see a speedrun of Duck Hunt, Hogan's Alley, Wild Gunman, Gumshoe, Gotcha! The Sport!, Freedom Force, Operation Wolf, Bayou Billy, Shooting Range, To the Earth, Mechanized Attack, Barker Bill's Trick Shooting, Laser Invasion, The Lone Ranger, played completely on the NES Satellite 4-player multitap with the NES Zapper on controller #2.
Hey! Thanks for watching! And yeah, there is literally only one other video that I could find of someone using it, but it still wasn't what I was looking for. So I made this! Glad I could help. :D
I don't get why this guy didn't go for the ultimate 80s experience and use the advantage with the satellite then he would show off wireless capability and port swapping two player with mario and lugi only missing a console reset then you could swap 3 games with out getting off the couch in 89
If it's four players this should work! But I'd recommend the Four Score. it's the same thing, but wired as opposed to IR wireless. The wired version has no delay and doesn't require batteries. Thanks for watching!
Lower is probably better than higher, but it really just needs a clear shot to work. I haven't actually tested that, so that is an excellent question. As long as no one walks between it while you're using it, you're good. That's been my experience so far. I'll be sure to test out your question sometime soon.
Ok co thank you I've had my eye on one at a store near me its only $12 so I thought I'd ask I know some wireless gaming stuff is pretty particular and fussy. Do you know whether or not it would work with the nes top loader? I'd assume it would it just wouldn't look as pretty as it wouldn't match the design
+derkwest I'm not sure if it works with the top loader. I don't see why it wouldn't. the controller ports are the same in both consoles, right? and $12 isn't bad. I got mine for a little over $20.
actually using it is great, and it adds to the video. but really, what does it REALLY add? unless it doesnt work perfectly. like, if theres a delay on it or something. liked the vid, didnt sub.
It adds a lot considering all of the other videos at the time of posting had little to no actual usage of the device. Yes, there's a slight delay, but it's just barely noticeable. You get used to it it's so slight. From a 30 year old nintendo device it's mindblowing.

I actually watched the entire video! It was very informative! Thanks for the review!

Won't see it from me. Haven't touched this stuff in probably 9 years

The advantage is super annoying to use.
Really neat accessory, surprisingly cheap. Kind of a wonder why it's not more popular or well known.
U can get 2 C batteries in 99 cents store for 99 cents
hi
excelent video, i love retro games,,,congratulation from mexico
i want to know if you can play tmnt the arcade one for four players

battery life?
this would be decent with an ac adater
Yes it would. Unfortunately it doesn't have that feature. You could probably mod it you really wanted to.
jsmc84 Lol get a four score then
Allan pavon That's not the point.
I'm curious, does it have to be perfectly aligned with the receiver to work or can it be on a higher or lower table?

Not sure. I used it for a few hours at a time and didn't have any problems. I also take the batteries out when I'm not using it.
