If I found out my aunt used my identity to adopt a child, and if the child is being well cared for, there is no way I would have gone this far. This child is loosing the only mother and family he knows. I know taking her identity was wrong, but if my aunt was caring for the child properly, my heart could let that child go back to the system.
She may have had good intentions, but that in no way excuses what she did. In the story she hinted at the fact there was something in her background that made adopting a child hard for her. She said she tried adopting in her name but she wasn't approved. She said she chose her niece's identity. because she had a clean background and a stable environment. If she could do something like this, what's to say she wouldn't use her identity to gain other things that benefit her like credit.
Despite having good intentions, what Aunt Linda did was wrong and illegal. Using someone else's identity could ruin that person's life and tarnish their reputation. If aunts wants a child so badly but isn't able to conceive one or legally be approved to adopt one then, unfortunately, she needs to accept that it's just not in the cards for her to be a mother. And as mentioned in the story, Linda used Emma's identity as she had a clean and stable record which makes you think what did Linda do that made it difficult for to adopt a child in her own name. And as for the child that was adopted, yes I feel sympathy that he is losing the mother and family that he has only ever known and the best solution is for Emma to take him in as she is legally the kid's mother but taking in the adopted kid is up to Emma to decide.
Yeah sorry I don't agree with you there. Linda purposely try to isolated her from the rest of the family by claiming she gone crazy just to hide what she did. I sorry for the kid but you don't do that to families. Plus she said need someone with a clean record. What the heck she did for her to go so to identify theft.
