- More from that record-a-thon with TwilightPrince123. When going through this gem of a beat-'em-up again, I remembered you could get a secret 'bad' ending when playing with two people. As if a hot babe like Blaze ruling a city would be a bad thing.

Note: even if you kill your partner, and say yes to the boss, he'll betray you and drop you back to level 6. If you then fight your way back to level 8 (which is practically IMPOSSIBLE to do alone on a 2-player game), the boss will immediately say "You really want to die, don't you? I'll be happy to oblige". Then if you beat him, you'll actually get the good ending, even though you killed your partner earlier on LOL.

I never even knew there was a bad ending, because when me and my brother accepted to side with the Boss and he sent us back to level 6, we raged quit lol
Being sent down to level 6 gives you time to think about your actions and repent for twatting your partner to death.
Used to have this game and me and my sister did this for fun. Far from impossible.
@@macleunin One of you had to accept the offer and the other had to refuse. I think you have to have the player who said yes kill the player that said no.

I am literally shaking and crying right now, I can't belive Blaze Fielding from the not really known but still somewhat popular Sega Genesis game Streets Of Rage would do something like this.

Really cool concept for a game, being able to play with a buddy all the way up until the end then effectively you becoming the final boss.

I've always thought this was some kind of bug when we were playing this game on sega genesis and i was starting all over again. All the games in my region were on chinese and i was guessing every time. THIS GAME BECAME SO MUCH MORE FOR ME!
Axel's ending was better since he looked like a goddamn madman laughing to himself.
I remember being creeped out by that and with Adam and Blaze too because I had no idea joining Mr. X’s organization was an option
We need a SoR multiverse where she's the boss for 10 years and see what she does

For those who don't understand what the Bad Ending means here, let me explain and I'll use Blaze here because I might as well. Blaze proved that her attentions wasn't to stop the violence and return the city back to it's normal and calm state before The Syndicate was created. She doesn't even want to be Mr. X's right hand woman, but to actually overthrow Mr. X and rule it with a bigger iron fist herself. Yeah Mr. X's reign of terror is over, but now Blaze's reign of terror begins and it is most likely going to be far worse than Mr. X's form of terror as she has proved she's far dangerous and stronger than Adam and Axel, and all of The Syndicate members combined including Mr. X. I mean Mr. X himself admitted Blaze is pure evil and that is saying something. That would be The Joker calling you cold blooded and insane. All hope is now lost to help save the city and her reign of terror will plague the city and probably other cities if Blaze wants to expand her empire. Anybody left who would try to rise up and rebel against Blaze would be easily dealt with since she was once apart of the police force herself and know which cop is who and what they may have planned.
if you say yes Mr. X sends you back to round 6.

The fucking worst is when you do this, you kill the other player and if, when he offers to join his organization a second time, you say yes, you get dropped back at the beginning of the 6th stage. So infuriating.
What bad ending , she is chilling on her seat and shake a bit before ending of credits.
I guess it's more of a "bad ending" for the people inhabitants of the city, for her, it's the best ending

Mr.X is actually very naive considering she killed Adam who's side she was on long before his, and his whole dialogue with Blaze lasted all of 2 seconds.

If you accept his invitation to join doesn't he send you back to level 6? After killing your partner you still don't become his right hand, it's all or nothing.

Over 20 years later I keep thinking that the bad end was not well plained. You need 2 players, each one choosing different answers, to unlock bad end. If you choose yes with both 1 or 2 players you just fall into level 6 and access good ending. It doesn't make sense

The bad ending is about your character going so insane after killing his partner, he refuse to work with Mr.X and decide overthrow him as the mafia boss. To take place as the new boss.
The bad ending is a secret ending that people get if they happen to be curious what would happen if

1 player:
if NO = good ending;
if YES = you are send back to level 6 and after returning and defeat Mr. X, bad ending
2 Players:
if both NO = good ending
if both YES = fight until die and bad ending for the winner
if YES and NO = if "YES" player wins, bad ending, if "NO" player wins, good ending but the "evil character" does not appears in this ending

She lied when she agreed to join him, so he'd give her an opportunity to eliminate her partner. If they stopped Mr. X and she tried to take over immediately, Adam would have tried to stop her. Once Adam was dead, she shows her true colors by refusing to become Mr. X's right hand woman, so she could take out Mr. X and become the crime boss.
